Place was empty towards a late lunch midweek. While that is always a concern, I took a chance. This is a familiar setup to other poke places (think Chipotle). Where you go down the line and call out what you want. Food: Some the containers were pretty much empty; who wants the remnants of spicy tuna? I asked if there was more and the women reached under the counter and pulled out a fresh bowl. Then proceeded to dump the remnants and scoop them out for me. Gee, thanks! That was not a good look for them. In terms of taste, the Hawaiian tuna and the spicy krab mix were the best. Rest of meh. Skip the shrimp though: zero flavor. The overall quality of the items: veggies, etc were fresh. Service: Aside from remnants issue there are some things they can work on to have a better customer experience. - Sauces: Have cheat sheet that explains each one and what they go with best. Like with Hawaiian Tuna goes well with XXX,etc. - WAY too heavy on the greens when skipping rice. I get it that you want a full looking bowl, but I didnt order a salad. I specifically said "Light" lettuce, yet still got a full bowl. - Small, medium, large: Instead of listing ounces, list scoops. I ordered a Med, thinking that is two scoops, but it's three. Which is a good thing, but I didnt know that from reading the signage. Overall: Its a bit pricey, with a fountain drink you are over $20 for a medium bowl. I randomly dropped in here for lunch on the weekend. Parking was easy- we parked out front. The restaurant was surprisingly empty. One person did come in about the same time as us. All tables and the restaurant were very clean. Service was fast, even with 1 person in front of us. The waitresses were friendly and helpful. When we got seated, I noticed there were stacks of the same book at each table. We wondered what the story was. It turns out the owner of the restaurant wrote this book. The POKĒ bowls were fresh and surpassed my expectations. I was able to order one for myself using their toppings that had plenty of flavor yet was fitting to the Mediterranean diet. I have ordered here many times for delivery and 80% of the time they completely screw up my order. It's been enough times now that I will never order from here ever again. I've been here a few times now and I really enjoy their food. I always get the hawaiian tuna which has great flavor and typically try to mix it up for my second scoop of protein. I will say, I wish they have the sauces for you to grab as you want since I feel like I have to commit to one and see if I like it.
