Pretty sure this is the company that did maintenance for my apartment building awhile back. Our toilet seat was always coming loose so they would send one man (can't remember his name) who would come look at it, decide it needs to be replaced, go get the new seat, and come back to quickly switch it out. The last time he came for this issue he was upset that the seat was broken again and kept asking me why I broke it as if it was my fault. I was like wtf dude I don't know!?? He raised his voice and cursed at me. I told him he cannot speak to me like that. He ignored me. I told him to leave several times and he refused. He stole our toilet seat and finally left. I should have called the police but I called my property manager and she worked out with Omar that they would send a different guy to give us a new toilet seat. Me and my roommate (both women) were left without a toilet seat for hours. To make matters worse, Omar asked my property manager for my phone number so he could call and "apologize" directly. He gaslighted me about the fact that the dude intentionally stole our toilet seat and basically defended the guy's character after he had just intimidated and stolen from me in my own home. Here's the overview: Renovation: New flooring, break down kitchen wall, install new fireplace, new counters, new backsplash, new light fixtures Time: 6 days (everyone else estimated 4 to 6 weeks) Service: Friendly and knowledgeable, but a couple things really stick out. 1) I once emailed Omar at 2am about samples for our fireplace tiles. At 7am he picked up all the samples and had them in our home. He finished that project in one day. 2) We were short by 10 tiles for our backsplash and Omar visited every home depot in the area (around 4 or 5) to gather the rest -- even though we had other tiles that just didn't look as nice in terms of marbling. He really cares about the quality in his work. He goes above and beyond and they finish projects ahead of schedule. He's also done projects for 30+ of my coworkers. It is no small task finding a reliable handy man, plumber, electrician, etc. You get the picture. But I feel like we lucked out with OG Remodeling. Through a local realtor, we were connected with OG and Omar Garcia, the owner of the business. Omar has a fabulous staff ~ professional, courteous and excellent at their craft. Everyone was so helpful, informed & amenable. If there was any question about anything, it was answered promptly, and any concern was addressed immediately. In terms of our project ~ we painted our 20+ year-old single-family home from top to bottom ~ ceilings, walls to baseboards. In addition, in the kitchen, we took down a pot rack and added 3 pendant lights over our peninsula and it turned out fantastic. Our job took 5 days, and each day the crew arrived on time and when their day wrapped up, they took care to tidy up in order to allow us to move about our home in the middle of this project. One thing that I absolutely loved about this crew ~ you could tell how much they enjoyed their job ~ there was constant laughter and just a great mood and vibe while they worked together. I believe that's a reflection on Omar ~ how he treats his crew and obviously the trust he has that they will deliver an excellent outcome. We had a new door (installed by another company) to our roof deck blow off the hinges on a windy day! They came, replaced the door, and reinforced it to prevent that from happening again.
