Hands down, the best gelato I've ever had! It instantly transported me to a little Italian gelateria--authentic, rich, and crafted with real care. The staff greets you with a warm "Ciao!" and the atmosphere is cozy, with plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy your treat. I tried the mango gelato, and it was perfection. Not too sweet, just pure, refreshing mango flavor. I was told that the pistachio flavor is most popular so I'll have to go back and try it. Finally went to this spot that I've had saved for a while! It was worth the trip. It was inviting and smelled delicious. The staff were extremely kind and gave me samples before committing to a flavor. I tried hazelnut and cookies & cream, both very silky. Both delicious but I ended up going with cookies & cream on a regular cone. My husband had the tiramisu (so good!) with chocolate filled cone. They also have an amazing menu - with the popular item of a brioche with two scoops of ice cream! Definitely something I'm going to try next time. Sweet and salty with a caramel finish. It was heavenly. The chocolate complimented the caramel nicely. It was a milk chocolate flavor. I sampled the vegan dark chocolate one and it was good but I love milk chocolate more. I also sampled the strawberry (my favorite fruit flavor) and mango. I don't think any were horrible but my choice was pretty solid. Their hot chocolate is what hot chocolate should be. Thick, creamy and velvety with a big chocolate flavor! Next time I go I will get a cappuccino. It was too late in the day for me to get one this trip. There's a cute cafe seating area. There was a group of teenagers there which is nice to see. It must be a popular hangout spot for younger crowds to grab gelato, coffee or hot chocolate. Better than any Starbucks and they serve gelato. I enjoyed my gelato in 28 degree cold weather. It was busy but we were allowed to sample some flavors as it was our first time. They also gave us a rewards card to stamp with every purchase. The ice cream was delicious and the staff was great. Oh my goodness...DELICIOUS!! Located on Westport ave, nestled in a plaza, there is plenty of parking by the shop. Don't be discouraged by the line, they just opened but they move quick! I ordered the cheesecake with fudge in the cone and let me tell you.... I have never tried something so delicious in my life. Worth all the hype. My mom randomly sent me a video on Instagram. She found this little spot in Norwalk with amazing looking hot chocolate. I work in Norwalk, and she thought it would be a nice treat for me. Little did she know that it's three minutes from my work, and now any chance I get I come to get their hot chocolate! It's so super thick and European, but over a good gelato, like the milk cream, it is perfection! The gelato itself is soooo good, and the inside space is very cute! Yesterday my daughters got just the gelato, and they poured the chocolate fountain into the cone to make it a freshly chocolate lined cone! They also offer gelato to go in mason jars, and other specialty Italian items. Currently they have these yummy looking giant hollow chocolate eggs in different flavors for Easter. They had a few other Italian treats like cakes and waffles to get with ice cream, but I have to say that my favorite part of the entire shop had to be the running chocolate fountain they dipped the ice cream and branded wafers in. I got cookies and cream in a cone, and they dipped both the cone and ice cream in the chocolate (of course, all the chocolate was optional). When I asked young lady, who was preparing our gelato, why such loud music she answered "we can turn it down for you". But I sincerely wanted to understand why the music is so loud so I asked again. She responded "if more people come, we will need to turn it even louder". Now I was really puzzled so I asked once again why. She looked at me trying to find an answer and after a pause said "because" and then had nothing else to add. Now look, I like music and I can pretty much listen to any kind of music, but when it is so loud in such small place where you cannot hear person next be to you speak and have to order your gelato almost screaming, that's just poor judgement on those in control of music. I must say that gelato was really good! We tried several different kinds and all were delicious and it reminded us from gelato we ate in Italy. An excellent quality gelato, very flavorful and not overly sweet. We had 2 brioches, and it was very large. I would have rather taken half a size bun with half the ice-cream. One brioche is enough for 2 people! The servings are very generous, in line with the pricing. We returned a few days ago this time for a cone and one scoop, and that was much better in terms of portion. The cone was one of the best I have had in s while: very tasty, fresh, and never soggy! I still think fondly of my childhood memories of a Sicilian ice cream sandwich: more like a sweet brioche bun (no little top!) half open and one flavor well spread between. What a wonderful moment it was to just bite into it! If I had a suggestion, I would lose the hat on the brioche. Congratulations to the team and good luck or rather "in bocca al lupo!" These people are committing fraud: not giving you a paper receipt, claiming that they can't provide a text or emailed receipt, and then charging your credit card a higher total later on. I was charged $2.10 on top of the price I was quoted by the thieving cashier, whom I had given more than 30% tip btw. Of course they don't provide any support over the phone and demand that you come in and give them the physical card even after mentioning that ApplePay was used and that you don't live anywhere near them. I'm so happy Oggi Gelato chose to open their first U.S. location in Norwalk! This is by far the most authentic Italian gelato I've ever had in Connecticut! We went the day after their grand opening, and though they were sold out of a few flavors from the success of their event, they were working hard to create fresh batches for the day. We loved how fresh the flavors were, and it's easy to tell that they use real fruit and high quality dairy in their products! I had the strawberry cheesecake, and my fiancé had the stracciatella in brioche made by one of our favorite local Italian bakers - I'm so glad that they found each other, because it's a powerhouse of an Italian duo. We also tried a small cup of their peanut butter flavor, and it was so fresh and nutty compared to American peanut butter flavors! They have fresh chocolate on tap, and you'll definitely want that inside the cone or as a topping! I tried Oggi Gelato today with my granddaughter. We both asked for the largerer cup...I had Sea Salt Caramel and she had Strawberry. I have to admit, our server put a large amount of gelato into our cups. When I got to the register I was told the price would be a whopping $20.50. Without flinching I paid and also gave a gratuity. The gelato was very good. It was creamy and tasted delicious. But think about this for a moment. If you take your two kids and you and your partner each have large cup, your bill is $41.00! For gelato, not dinner. A bit excessive I think. One other thing. They keep brioche on the counter at a level where they are being breathed on and possibly sneezed on. I brought this to our server's attention and her response was "Well they aren't out there too long". OK just long enough to be breathed on.
