After a fun day in the sun we stopped in to check out Fairfield's brand new Oggi Gelato. It is right on the main road and was already busy. The decor is charming with blue and gold colors as well as art of a cow and a chicken on the walls. They had some interesting banquette seating along the wall with round little tables. The gelato is a little pricey at $7 for one scoop or more reasonable two for $9 but you can taste the quality and richness. I loved the quality of the cones they were scrumptious. We ordered a strawberry cheesecake gelato one scoop. It was more than enough to satisfy our sweet tooth. We will definitely be stopping by to try more flavors and the regular almond cake which they were out of. They were actually out of a few flavors but it's due to all the Grand opening traffic.

Oggi Gelato is already a popular addition to the downtown Fairfield scene and it seems all are loving it! There was lots of hustle and bustle on a hot and humid Sunday evening, but the line was fast moving. Staff was full of smiles and very courteous. There are a few areas available to sit and eat inside. Close to the green if you want to sit and relax there instead. We choose the strawberry and lemon gelato and both tasted fresh, fruity, and creamy. They are so many other flavors to try! And a brioche with Gelato! Wow. I predict this place will continue to do well with their promise of quality and no artifical ingredients. A bit pricey, but most seem willing to pay for fresh, quality ingredients. A win for Fairfield.

Post dinner, my desire was a gelato hot chocolate. With an array of properly stored (did you know there is an improper way to store gelato) gelato, Oggi's didn't disappoint. The service was friendly, flavors abundant and absolutely delicious.

On the Post Road downtown Fairfield, it is super expensive, like $9 for 2 scoops but the quality is top notch, the flavors are great and they have a seating area to sit and eat. The staff is very pleasant and knowledgeable.

Very cute spot in downtown! There was no line but I also came in the afternoon. The guy at the counter was really nice. Let my friend and I try a lot of the flavors. Some were sold out!! I went with the cookies & cream and tiramisu. It was really good. The mango was also really good (sampled) I'd come back! It is a bit pricey but it's up to par with everything else

Went to Oggi last night after a night out in Fairfield. The staff was all very kind and welcoming. It is cute and clean inside. The gelato was great. I got two scoops, one Modica and one Pistachio. I was told the pistachio was popular but I did not care for it at all... it tasted like peanut butter. The other flavor however was great! I also enjoyed the biscotti flavor my mom got. We will be back!

I recently tried googi jello... I entered the ambient brick and mortar and made my presence known by pantsing my friend jeff ( really puts the emphasis on ) love. that poor bastard slipped and got an Indian rug burn on his family jewels. BACK TO THE CREAM. I started at the ordering station and asked for a one scoop, the person then handed me what seemed to be an oversized diva cup... I then cut some NPC's in line and when the barista asked me how many scoops I ordered, I took advantage of this opportunity and told the dumb POS i ordered 3 scoops, HE TOOK THE BAIT... IDIOT. I then asked for chocolate to which he replied OoOh We DoNt SeRvE cHoChOlEtE. WHAT THE HELL DO YOU MEAN?!?!?! angry, but compliant, I settled for the spondgeboob poppy, which I must admit, tasted really like spongeboob ( I would know ) STARS!!!!!

I used to think that gelato ice cream wasn't very different from normal ice cream...until I tried this place. Recommended by a friend, this gelato shop thoroughly impresses. The interior was nice and they have information about the company and their methods on the walls and on a TV looping videos about their craft. Staff was kind and dutiful. It's easy to see (and taste) that they are masters in their field. I got a large chocolate hazelnut gelato because I'm a sucker for Nutella. The large order wasn't very large and it's pricey for the portion size, but the acutely high quality makes it well worth it. Every bite was rich and decadent. You can easily taste each ingredient and it all blends together perfectly. It was insanely good. There's a location in Norwalk as well; both locations are equally amazing. Even though it's pricey for the portion, you are getting top quality gelato. They have many different flavors, so I will definitely be back for more.

Went there on a beautiful day, a perfect day for ice cream. Going in here is a huge hike for us being that we live 40 miles away. It's always a highlight to go, and we always order large cups when we go. Keep in mind this place is not a bargain, you generally get what you pay for and this place has always been worth it except for this trip. And with all my excitement, I neglected to see how much gelato was left for one of the flavors I ordered, and it was the bottom of the barrel-instead of the young gentleman talking me out of the flavor, he gingerly scraped up with all his might whatever was left in the bottom, then proceeded to ask me if I wanted a flavor that was similar to it... Shame on me I said no, and he proceeded to give me the other flavor I had asked for which is a chocolate brownie. As he scooped, I said you know what give me some of the cappuccino please-he huffed and puffed and arrogantly told me he could no longer do it... Why? You've only done a couple scoops of chocolate what's the big deal. Asking him a question it was like I was asking him a life ending favor. He then huffed as he took my husband's order. As we both ate our ice creams we were very mystified that it was lacking the flavors that it once had. True, we both had tried new flavors that we never had before, but it didn't have the same texture and it was overly sweet. Secondly, my husband got their waffle cone. Now let's talk about how the boy neglectfully scooped that waffle cone... He didn't put any ice cream in the cone only slapped a ball on top - that was it. The ice creams came out to $16 and honestly the waffle cone was flavorless! My husband wound up throwing it away as it probably was one of the worst waffle clones he's ever had. Maybe we need a break but we definitely need a break from that young gentleman who took our order... He needs a little polish refresher course on how to be a little more cordial and Little accommodating. Thank God for the tip cup! As for the parking, it's hell, absolutely satanic but that is not reflective of the rating. You are at the mercy of street parking and not easy to find.

Should have been my first clue. The pizzas in the display case all looked enticing (although nothing labeled or priced) and I decided to get a Gramma slice along with the eggplant special listed for the day. I also got the ricotta/spinach bread showcased in the display case. I asked if the eggplant was a platter or a grinder/sandwich, and was told it was a sandwich. Great. Well, there was no grinder, no Italian bread, roll, but what looked to be either pizza or calzone dough made into bread like slices. Interesting. The taste wasn't great and it was difficult to pick up to eat without all falling apart, so I decided to remove the top piece of "bread" and eat it with a fork and knife. There was 1 piece of eggplant, 1 piece on each sandwich half. One. Eggplant Parm is cooked and then the slices layered, and usually there are at least 3-4 layers, but not this. The eggplant had many seeds in it indicating the eggplant is past its prime-not the freshest -and the seeds add a bitter taste. Not pleasing. Gobs of cheese atop the bread, but no Parmesan detected. The ricotta spinach was an inedible unappetizing mess of stringy cheese and overcooked spinach. The Gramma slice was ok but I would not return for this. The decor is great and the service was fine, but the food was not good and ended up in the garbage! Ugh! On street parking in downtown Bridgeport. I will not be returning nor recommending.

Born in Italy and trained by the best, making gelato isn't his job, it's his calling. You can taste that distinction in every single bite. Mike is constantly developing new recipes, hand-picking fresh fruit at the market, and importing specialty ingredients straight from Italy when he can't find what meets his standards locally. This is a man who simply refuses to cut corners. My family and I have been loyal customers for nearly 8 years, and what's remarkable is that it's just as mind-blowing today as it was the very first time we walked through the door. That kind of consistency is rare -- and it speaks volumes. Over the years, we've brought roughly 40 friends and family members here for the first time. Every single one of them has raved about it. That's not a coincidence. That's excellence. If you're visiting for the first time, do yourself a favor: try the rainbow cookie gelato. You can thank me later.
