Popped into today for a lunch meeting. The place was pretty packed so they had good business going on here. I ordered the chicken and lamb bowl. It was pretty tasty. Very good portion as well. The service was good the guy at the counter was nice as well. It didnt take a ton of time to receive my food which was great. That means I can definitely stop in if I'm in a rush. Solid experience. The only knock on the star was that the food wasnt just bursting with flavor like some other places I've been. Overall great though. read more

I stopped by around 9 PM and was greeted by a staff member at the cashier when placing my order. The staff were welcoming and polite, which made for a pleasant start to the visit. My food also came out fairly quickly after ordering. I tried the Oh Mmm Fries, which were crispy and packed with flavor. They were slightly on the salty side for my taste, so I'd rate them about 7.5/10. The beef platter was the highlight of the meal. It was flavorful and honestly better than many similar spots in the area. I'd give it a solid 8/10. Since it was later in the evening, the restaurant was fairly quiet. However, they do have a few tables available for those who want to dine in, mostly suited for groups of four or fewer. read more

Went to @ohmmmgyros the #katytx location. I am a fan of the Gyro rice plate, and this is a great option for it. I ordered the Combo Beef and Chicken Gyro rice place, with consists of Beef and Chicken Gyros, seasoned rice, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, cucumbers, white sauce and their red hot sauce. It was great, decent portion size, flavorful rice and the red sauce had a kick to it. We drove past several Mediterranean restaurants only a few miles away from this spot, and so when we spotted it, we thought it would be another good, authentic choice. Unfortunately, the food was pretty mediocre, and the choice of free toppings to "customize" were the bare minimum. However, they did have the option of paying an extra 99 cents to add feta (to a gyro - have never paid to add feta to a gyro in my life). The pickles you can add are the kind you put on a burger, not on a gyro. If you are expecting true Mediterranean or great flavor, this is not for you. If you want average, somewhat bland protein (but a good amount of it) wrapped in a store-bought pita, take a shot. 2 stars for the food and an additional star because the cashier was sweet and very attentive to all of the customers. read more

The BLC platter (Beef, Lamb, Chicken) over rice with all the veggies, all the sauces especially that pink sauce, and the hot Cheeto dust with some feta!!!! Oh yeeeaahhh!!! I love finding places with good vegetarian options, and today I stopped by a new spot to try their falafel bowl. Joe assisted me during my visit and was very friendly. The bowl came with six falafel, onions, tomatoes, lettuce, yellow rice, plus white and hot sauce. It was about $12, served quickly, and tasted great. The staff was wonderful, and I'll definitely be back. They also have plenty of choices for meat lovers, including beef, chicken and lamb. read more

I'm not sure where to start this place. It's actually pretty amazing. They just opened in the Katy area. You can get a bowl and you can switch the meat to do half-and-half. I decided to try Oh Mmm Gyros on a Sunday evening. I arrived to order inside for to-go. The environment is very casual. The service was very quick and easy. I chose the Lamb Combo Platter which came with lamb and marinated chicken pieces along with rice, and multiple veggie topping options. I asked what the topping options were and got olives, Jalapeños, corn, tomato, onion, cucumber, and lettuce. It came with a side of white sauce and I also requested their spicy sauce. The dish itself was not anything I would want to go back and get again. The lamb was very oily, and the chicken while stated has been marinated 24+ hours, tasted like it was just tossed in salt and pepper. I've had several Mediterranean/Gyro type restaurants and this was one that did not live up to my expectation. The rice was cooked well, and the sauces were good. But I was not impressed with the meat and how it was cooked/tastes. Maybe there are other dishes to try here that may be better. read more

The cook is in the back singing. The waiter is bringing me another fork after seeing that i dropped mine on the floor. And I'm enjoying a lamb gyro with a side of hummus and pita bread. The tzaiki is spot on. The tomatoes could be more flavorful but it's the winter so not their fault. All in all, great gyro spot for an on the go lunch. read more

Loved this Chicken gyrito - 8/10 - $10.99 - A healthier option. I really like this but it wasnt as flavorful as the platters Chicken quesadilla - 6.5/10 - $10.49 - Tasty but didnt have too much flavor and was greasy, could also be crispier Churros w/nutella - 8/10 - $4.99 - Were kind of hard but still delicious and not overly sweet I was so excited to hear that my favorite gyro spot was opening a new location in Katy! So my brother and I wanted to try someplace new. So we chose OMG. Simple menu - lamb, beef and chicken in a variety of gyros and their spin on a burrito. We both chose the burrito, mine beef and my bros lamb. We split a large order of FFs. The burritos were packed with meat and rice and other fillings. Plenty of food. Nice sauce with some heat. FFs we crispy, but $3.95 was a bit much for the size. The thing I/we didn't like is the minimalist approach. They only had bottles or canned drinks - no cups or ice. They gave each of us one paper napkin and one pack of ketchup. No salt and pepper packs. I told the lady serving us we were going to need more so we each got one more of the above. And no salt/pepper available. This approach killed the vibe for us. Service was good. Food tasted good. But walking out we felt disappointed. I went 3 stars because it wasn't bad and service good. We came super late, like a half hour before closing after a loooong of house hunting from across the US. We were greeted by two chipper employees who were slammed, but smiling and helpful, nonetheless. That in itself had me impressed. Good was being constructed fresh right in front of us and gyros sounded soooo good after such a long day. Hubby and I both got the same thing, two lamb gyros with extra meat and Hubs got a lamb quesadilla alongside. We got our order to go and when we got back to our room, the gyros were hearty and fresh and the pita was soft. I don't recall any feta, which I missed, and the only thing I would change is having Kalamata olives instead of black. I can't tell you what is in the pink sauce, it's not like ranch that is dyed or something. It's slightly spicy, but even with a fairly low spice tolerance it is ok. We got take out and my husband said the restaurant mostly does take out on weekdays, so if you are looking for somewhere quiet this should be good, but it is a small space, so don't just go and sit half the day. This place is so much better then any gyro place I had even in New York! Their chicken bowl was so tasty and all the veggies and rice all so fresh! Especially their sauces, I'm a spicy gal and they definitely nailed that as well! Oh and their potatoe pattie alone was so flavorful!!! Definitely my favorite! Also next door they have their sister company Chip Cookies and that blows every cookie company out of the water. Definitely will be going back!
