To those of you that don't know, Ohana means "family" in Hawaiian. That is the type of service, expertise, and hospitality that I received when I paid a visit to "Ohana Cannabis", a dispensary that offers an extensive amount of products. Everything that ranges from flowers, cartridges, pre-rolls, edibles, and even THC cocktail beverages. This has been more the rage in recent years since cannabis products do not leave a nasty hangover (and side effects) that are seen with alcoholic beverages. This particular location is situated in the heart of Emeryville directly on Peladeau St and tucked in between Powell St and Stanford Ave. As you can see from the photos I took, the exterior parking lot is quite spacious while a very colorful and beautiful blue painted wall with the business name that is clearly visible. Since I had time in between my day, I arrived here during the afternoon of Friday 7/4/2025 at around 3:30pm, gave the security guard my drivers license (as this was my first time), and proceeded inside. Before I get in-depth with this review, Ohana has several other locations open to the public. This includes one in nearby Oakland as well as San Francisco, Santa Cruz, Sacramento, Beverly Hills, and Palm Springs. They also specialize in the cultivation, manufacturing, and delivery of cannabis-based products out of their Ohana Gardens warehouse in the Sacramento area. If you do wish to visit their brick-and-mortar location, they are opened 7 days a week from 8am-10pm. Upon entry of the business itself, I was pleasantly surprised with how open and spacious the interior layout of the building was. All of the products are beautifully showcased and presented in a clear transparent casing. The customer service was top-notch as if I was treated like a king where all of the employees were knowledgeable, friendly, and outgoing. Since I do not prefer inhaling THC, my go-to route for relaxation and tranquility is by consuming edibles (gummies, drinks, etc). What I particularly liked that drew me to this place was their exclusive Cocktail Lounge! This is where one of the "budtenders" used a 10mg hybrid dosage (of THC) infused with a fruit drink to truly transform this into a refreshing and euphoric experience. I went with the "Pineapple Express" margarita which had a blend of passion fruit & pineapple juice. They also have several other THC cocktails including the "Nasserati", "Emeryville Mule", and "Ohana Sunrise". All drinks are reasonably priced at $10 and a great alternative to alcohol. Overall, my drink hit the spot and they even added salt to the brim of the glass to give it that margarita on-the-rocks feel. The young lady that helped me was absolutely wonderful as she went more in detail of what their business was all about. When you combine a full-on dispensary for shopping as well as enjoying a drink, then everything else comes together perfectly. With outstanding service, a great selection, inviting showroom, and reasonable prices, I am giving "Ohana Cannabis" in Emeryville a perfect five-star rating. read more

Standing by the beverage bar/room that was open with lights on and clear signs that previous patrons had utilized the beverage bar/room to enjoy what they purchased. but she said it was closed.... to me and my best friend. After approaching her so we could purchase some products we had to repeat it so many times. She made us feel like we was bothering her, but hey your on the clock! I had questions but didn't get answers. She walked away to get the products we mentioned. Forget this place, yet another out-of-the-area cannabis corporation with a ton of stores elsewhere who has set up shop in our neighborhood and is bilking its customers with higher prices. Went there recently to buy a few 510 cartridges, which should have been out the door well below $100. Here it costs me $105. These were nothing special, standard high quality cartridges that retail for about $30-35. AT MOST OTHER PLACES in the East Bay, and you are getting out the door for $75-80. And guess what? ALL dispensaries have to charge additional local and state taxes, so it's not that charge that's making these cartridges so expensive here. It's that the before-tax price is too damn high. So, for my like-minded stoner friends out there that use the 510 full-gram carts and do NOT want to get raked over the coals - go to HI-FIDELITY (owned by Amoeba Records) on Telegraph Avenue. Or go to FARMACY @ Sacramento and Alcatraz on the South Side. The ONLY advantage Ohana has (which is valid, yes) is that it's open till 10pm, when most other places close at 8. But that fact aside - THERE IS NO REASON TO SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE! They do not care about locals and are clearly more focused on PROFITS, evidenced by their higher prices, and massive retail footprint, having shops all over northern and southern California. And you can feel this when you walk into the place. They have spent a ton of money on a massive space with real pretty cases and a massive large screen TV, which is what you see with BIG companies with lots of cash. Feels corporate, with no real connection to the area, just like The Apothecarium near the CAL campus. That place needs to go away, as that's NOT the vibe locals are looking for. And I would say the same about Ohana. Nothing about "family" here, despite that name and the fact that they changed their name or were bought out (this place originally opened under a different brand). Go with a REAL LOCAL dispensary that isn't all about the Benjamins. Trust me, you'll be happier that you did. read more

Security on 1/28/26 at 3:40pm outside is incredibly creepy. My wife and I park outside to go to Honor Kitchen. We go here very often and park across the street at the designated parking. He will literally watch us the entire time with his arms crossed and watch our every move. He literally doesn't break eye contact and has no social cue. I don't know if he's trying to look tough or threatening but its actually just creepy and leaves a really bad taste in our mouths. Like... he literally just stares at our car the entire time. The other security there doesn't do this. It's really annoying especially since we're not even customers at Ohana.. Also feels really discriminatory considering I'm black.. read more

Aggressive manager - parked outside the store doors after 6pm. Staff member came out and was rude to us about parking in yellow zone outside of store. We thought it was ok because it was after hours and there was no sign stating not to park there.
