I came here today with my son to try it out. I have been eyeing it for a few months now. We live in the next town over. The place itself is comfortable and very nice. The cashier was very friendly, he's was a young kid but very nice. The food was delicious. Similar to an L&L restaurant without the extra ramen and other items on the menu. This was an hour and a half drive from Enterprise AL. The musubi's seaweed could've been better if it wasnt so tough. Typically we brush sauce over it while it's hot. I got the Ohana plate which was pretty pricey but it was good so I'm satisfied. Pay attention to the prices because it's $13 for the plate but depending on your meat choices (Kalbi Ribs and shrimp) it'll be $1.99 extra each item. Mac salad was on point . Passing through and took lunch to go. Service was prompt and friendly. Short rib and fried shrimp were both really good, and the musubi was delish. I don't usually like Mac salad, but this was good and the rice was perfect with a drop of the sauce that came on the side. Reasonably priced and plenty of food, enjoyed it very much. read more

Wasn't super impressed with my food. Ordered through DoorDash. It was quick delivery! I've been wanting to try this place for three reasons: 1) I love Hawaiian food 2) I wanted to compare to another restaurant in town called Pounders with similar food 3) because I haven't been able to find good Katsu chicken anywhere in Crestview The chicken was crispy and good, the sauce that came with it gave it so much flavor! The rice and macaroni salad were both just ok (just plain white rice and hot mac salad - I usually like my mac salad cold). This was warm, probably because it was sitting in a closed takeout container with hot food. Plus, nothing has ever beaten Pounders white rice with teriyaki sauce and crushed red chili flakes and cold macaroni salad bursting with flavor. I also ordered the crispy shrimp as well. First all stop comparing this restaurant to Pounders Lmao. They serve and cook almost a different style of food. Ohana is has a blend of Korean/Japanese/ Islander blend. Braddah K at pounders has his own style. It's nice having choices in this area of Florida. Though Ohana Hawaiian Grill is a chain, it's a welcomed site for an Islander like me. The menu provides many choices to choose from, kalbi ribs, katsu, shrimp, and even spam musubi. Nothing like a good ole plate lunch that's packed. Just like every where else there's certain items that's hit or miss. On my previous visit the kalbi ribs were over cooked along with the chicken katsu. Hopefully in the the cooks will get the hang of knowing when to get it off the heat before it's too late. Still I'll have to give them 4 stars because of the menu choices, friendly staff, and how I miss local island food. FYI: This is actually not Hawaiian food just a blend of cultures in one plate. I was stationed at Pearl Harbor Submarine base for 13 years from 1980 thru 1992 so got to enjoy the many delicious dishes there. Wish they had Saimin. One of my favorite Hawaiian dishes. Manapua and malasadas? Would be nice too. I'm on crutches for all eternity so wait staff would be really good. Some real brewed iced tea is highly recommended. Really like this place so you can bet I'll be stopping by every time I pass through. read more

The katsu chicken is really good. The rice is just plain white rice nothing special. The macaroni salad is just ok. Most likely will only go back if it's Sunday or Monday and pounders is closed. read more

Ate here for lunch today. My first time here and won't be my last. I had the Maui Fire Plate and it was amazing! Just the right amount of heat and full of flavor. I could hear and see rhetorical chef cooking it on the grill immediately after I ordered. It came to my table piping hot and very fast. It was worth the visit and I will definitely be back. Just alright. Short story: food doesn't stack up to the other local joint In town. The restaurant has a neat appearance and the team was attentive. I ordered a regular plate (two meats, 2 scoops of rice, 1 scoop macaroni, and steamed veggies). Meats: grilled chicken and spare ribs. The grilled chicken had real potential had it not been slightly overcooked and under seasoned. The spare ribs (if you can still call them that) came out with the appearance you wouldn't expect. thinly sliced opposite the normal direction of ribs. despite the strange appearance, they looked and smelled good. That was where the pleasantries ended... plan on eating these with your hands, because the plastic utensils provided are not going to cut it (literally). Rice and macaroni were very similar, under seasoned and slightly overcooked. Can we bring it back from mediocrity? With the spam musubi? Not really, but it was edible at least. Given the opportunity to return a third time (not likely), i would just order two musubis and skip the rest of the menu. I will likely just skip the restaurant and go to pounders unless it's a Sunday or Monday though. read more

Finally was able to stop in today and they did NOT disappoint. The service was great, the music was perfect and the food was delicious with good sized portions. We had the Musubi, teriyaki chicken and spicy Maui plate and enjoyed every bite. I don't normally care for macaroni salad but theirs is great. Seriously can't wait to come back again. read more

Takeout last night. First time visit. Phenomenal food and truly authentic. Need to understand this is not just Hawaiian food. It is Island food. Everything I ordered reminded me of my life in Hawaii. True island mixture. The Maui Hot chicken was off the charts. Will be back weekly. read more

Finally got to try this place tonight. I've noticed a lot of folks comparing it to Pounders. No, it's not as good as Pounders, but it isn't horrible either. I'm not a huge Mac Salad fan, but theirs was alright. I tried musubi for the first time, so I've nothing to compare it to. But, I drizzled some of their house sauce on it and it was *chef's kiss*. Their fire sauce actually surprised me bc it did have a bit of a kick to it. I have a freakishly high tolerance to spicy food, so I'm always disappointed when I go somewhere that has something on their menu labeled as 'spicy' and it doesn't even tickle your throat. So pleasantly surprised by it. Still wasn't quite to my level of preference, but I loved it anyway. We ordered the BBQ chicken, BBQ steak, Māui Fire Chicken and the shrimp. All was good, meat was tender/flavorful.....the shrimp was not worth the upcharge. All in all, everything was good. Only complaints, the shrimp and the rice I didn't care for. The rice was so sticky that I had to get a knife to break up the clumps. It was weird. I'll def be going back sometime, if only to avoid having to drive all the way to the opposite end of town to get to Pounders:) read more
