Labyrinth theme cake. Blurred out a name but it says"You remind me of the babe. What babe? The babe with the power."

I had my baby shower this weekend and I sent Eliza some pictures and a description of what I was toying with in my mind for a cake. She'd never seen the movie, Labyrinth, before. My mom touched base with her as well to wrap up details... OMG! The cake was so beautifully decorated. Just enough intricate detail but soft enough for a shower. The flavors were DELICIOUS!!!! We had chocolate and white cake with raspberry filling and cream cheese topping. Everything was so delicious. Highly recommend Ohlson's for your special day!!!!

Certainly one of my fav bakeries. Wide selection of cookies, cupcakes and other sweet treats. Follow them on social media for giveaways. Plenty of spots to sit inside to enjoy and a take out fridge which would be handy if you need a cake or cheesecake for a party.

The best bakery around for miles! I travel 45 minutes just to come here! My favorite would be their cupcakes!

Cakes and cookies and pies, oh my! Ohlson's is a quintessential bakery in the northtowns, one that took me way too long to try on my own. My mother got my dad his most recent birthday cake here and picked up a few extra sweet treats for us to try -- and as a major dessert fiend, how could I say no! For his birthday cake, my dad chose the cassata cake, which I found really delicious and light, not overly sweet by any means. I've never had cassata cake before, so I don't have much to compare it to, but I know a good cake when I taste one, and this one was really good. We got an assortment of their specialty cupcakes as well, each were absolutely massive. I chose the wedding cake cupcake and it was very decadent -- way too much frosting for my taste, but the flavor captured that classic almond wedding cake essence. The cake wasn't too dense, thankfully, and I really enjoyed it! If I'm ever in the area, I'll definitely stop by Ohlson's again for a sweet treat. Because truly, dessert is what makes life so sweet -- and they do dessert so well.

Love stopping here to grab a special treat but recently ordered our first custom cake from here. They blew us away with what we got. Our little girl turned for and wanted a "pink/purple cheetah" cake. Not only did they nail decorating the cake but the inside funfette with custard filling was sooo good. The only negative about this place it that is a little pricey for an everyday treat but it's so good we don't mind for special occasions. Will definitely be ordering birthday cakes from here again!

I stopped here a week and a half ago to get some sweet treats for myself and my friends for a friend's birthday. The birthday girl needed something gluten free, which this place had. I bought four cupcakes, two cookies, and one gluten-free cupcake. The order was just shy of $40!!! ‍ I was a bit taken aback, when the employee stated my total, but I was okay with it. The treats ended up being delicious and worth it. Because of the price, I can't come here often, but I won't mind returning. They have cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and other things. There is a nice seating area and they have their own parking lot. The staff were pleasant. I was happy with the cupcakes and cookies. I unfortunately forgot to snap photos of the cupcakes and cookies. The cookies were huge and delicious.

I've always wanted to check this bakery out but never had the chance until this week! It's a small bakery located on the corner of Harris Hill and Sheridan. I came here with my friend after grabbing lunch. I certainly have a second stomach for dessert because I swear all the delicious baked goods and pastries were calling my name! One of my fave treats is a raspberry crumb bar. I knew I had to get the Raspberry Delite Bar. It was really good! The crumble was just perfect and I don't think it was too sweet. It was small but very rich. I thought the price was reasonable. I would definitely come back and try other items! The huge cannoli cupcake and carrot cake definitely caught my eye!

8 year old boy cake - just awesome.

Ohlson's hit it out of the ballpark again. The cake for our 8 year old grandson was a big hit. Delicious and so creative. So memorable. Thank you Ohlson's!

Omg! This bakery is amazing. They made a cake for my cousin's wedding last night and I still can't focus on anything else. It was a raspberry filled layer cake with a sweet but light buttercream frosting. I've never had anything like it. If you need a cake for any special occasion, I encourage you to check them out. #HappyEating

The location makes sense as the residents of Williamsville are generally well-educated and worldly enough to appreciate authentic Yemeni cuisine; the same cannot be said for most of Buffalo suburbs, unfortunately, so I'm grateful the Buffalo metro now has one. Ordered the Qamaria latte, traditionally-spiced with cinnamon and cardamom. The spice notes were potent, but not at all overpowering and the beverage remained balanced. Had a chicken malawach as well; flaky and savory, and also well-spiced. It was a bit greasy which was the only regrettable thing about the experience, but not extremely and it didn't compromise the flavor or texture. The dining room itself was clean and elegantly decorated with Arabian and Gulf motifs, and the staff were friendly and helpful when my mother had questions about the menu. (I give any practicing Muslim props for working in food service while fasting during Ramadan.) All and all, grateful they're part of the community; I just hope they don't overexpand and sacrifice quality for quantity like many others.

My daughter and I actually ate lunch inside the cafe at a table- wow! After doing only take-out for many months, we sure did appreciate eating inside...like the good ole days! We were the only patrons for quite a while. Later a few other patrons came in after attending a midday mass at the St. Gregory Catholic Church. Still, we were seated far apart, observing social distance. We were greeted and served by a very sweet lady. Both my daughter and I did the soup/sandwich combo. She had the chicken Caesar wrap and said it was yummy! I had a Reuben sandwich. Simple and delicious. We both had the homemade, hearty chicken gumbo soup. Loved the okra and chicken pieces loaded in the thick broth. It was superb, hit the spot. A+ We also enjoyed a plate of Pierogis. Lucky for us, pierogis are offered only during the current Lenten period. Cheese or potato onion - we loved both! We ordered a full plate for $6.50. Really, I've never had pierogi this delicious. Definitely homemade, a little on the small side in terms of quantity for the price. Yet still worth getting. Since it's Lent, the cafe is offering a fish fry dinner each Friday evening through March. It's take-out only. Pre-pay $11, or $12 at the door. As well, on Wednesday evenings, during Lent, the cafe is open for pizza night. The comfy sofas in the lounge area are calling us back to sip coffee, relax and chat with a friend. We are definitely coming back!

With the exception of some of the baked goods, everything is freshly made, in house, including the jumbo cookies. The cafe is so cheerful and comfortable it is a great place to go and have a leisurely breakfast, lunch or both. I was told that Wednesday nights are pizza night. I arrived at about 11:30am on a Sunday, parked on the street (parking…read morelimited), there were only a couple people in line before me, a few couples sitting down, maybe about eight small tables for optional seating but the place is very small, cozy feel. There were only three cinnamon rolls left... I was going to buy all three but then I overheard the little girl behind me say she wanted one so I only ordered two. Try a cinnamon roll, they're so yummy, cost about $5.75, a 16oz house coffee was $3.75. I ordered the two cinnamon rolls, a piece of a carrot cake (WOW), slice of a pumpkin roll and a large chocolate chip cookie. All equally delicious in their own right! They were packaged to go in a large cake box for me, which I appreciate so nothing got squished during the ride back home. In total I spent $29.50 and didn't feel bad about it, I needed some sugar in my life that was worth eating, I try not to eat carbs anymore as a personal diet preference and I feel amazing but if you're going to eat them, let them be worth every bite so you don't regret it. Anyway, I love this spot. I did attempt to chat it up with the woman taking my order, she was very nice.

Gabrielle's used to be my favorite place in the Village of Lancaster. I supported them constantly…read more They have wonderful gluten free baked goods, as well as great breakfast sandwiches with a gluten free roll, if one so chooses. I will discuss three different run ins with Gabrielle's. First one - I went there in January to grab some sweets for a little crafting party I was hosting. I ordered both gluten free items and non gluten free items. The woman working, who was new, proceeds to ask me if she can put the non gf and the gf in one container. I said absolutely not. How can you not be trained on this, or not know not to do that. Why would I be ordering gf items, if I'm going to agree to put them in the same container. It defeats the purpose. Second time - Valentine's Day. My husband and I had a tradition of going to support Gabrielle's on Valentine's Day because they offered different gf items and a romantic atmosphere. This was our third time attending since living in the village. We arrived right when they opened, and they weren't opened yet, which was fine. When the owner unlocked the door, she wasn't very friendly. I let it slide, and continued to choose to visit Gabrielle's because I loved the baked goods and breakfast sandwiches. Third time - I stopped in on my way to an event to get a breakfast sandwich. It was about 10 minutes after they opened on a Saturday. It was quite busy there. There were roughly 2 or 3 tables occupied throughout my half hour stay.  Most notably there was a mom and daughter there. I'll get back to that in a minute. When I arrived, I was the only one at the counter. The same girl from the first not great encounter was making coffee behind the counter. That is fine. What wasn't fine, was that she didn't acknowledge me at all and I waited there awkwardly to put my order in for a good 5 minutes. Weird, that you wouldn't say, "Hi, it will just be a minute, as I'm working on another order,"  or something like that. The owner also came out of the kitchen during this time and took several Door Dash orders, but also didn't acknowledge me standing there. All I needed was a Hi, I'll be right with you. Something. I felt like a ghost. Fast forward, woman takes my order. It is for a gluten free breakfast sandwich. I sit down and wait. I wait for a solid half hour for my breakfast sandwich to be complete. During this time, the mother and daughter duo go up to the counter and say that they told the woman when they ordered that they needed to get everything by 9am, and it was 9am, and they still hadn't gotten their sandwiches yet. Why does it take a half hour to make 2 breakfast sandwiches?! They finally get their order and leave. The woman goes from the kitchen to the counter and is yelling to the owner, "If they wanted their food faster, they should have went to Tim Hortons." There was me and about 2 other tables present for that. I thought that statement was absolutely horrific and disgusting. Everyone who came through Gabrielle's and who goes to Gabriele's chooses to spend their money locally. To help a local family and support their business. To say that in front of customers, is abhorrent. I finally got my breakfast sandwich and left. I ruminated this for a while and decided against posting this review and emailing them directly about how this comment was unwarranted and not ok and the employee should be reprimanded. I received no reply back. This happened in February and it is now May. I have not received any acknowledgement regarding that my comment was received. I can only take it as the owner and employees don't care. Thus, I'm posting my review.   Not to mention that they claim to sell fresh bread on Saturdays, and there were a couple customers who arrived asking to purchase the fresh bread, and were told it was still rising and would be ready around 1 pm or so. What?! You would think they would be more in a hurry to get their bread out on a Saturday morning. That is when people want to eat fresh bread. It breaks my heart that I can't support this business anymore because the baked goods are so delicious, but I'm going to support other local businesses that value their customer base and are happy that the customers who walk through their doors want to support local.
