The thyme in the butter was a nice touch. For appetizers, we tried the calamari. It was okay, but not the standout of the meal. The Argentinian-style Chicken Milanesa Napolitana, on the other hand, was excellent. It was crispy, flavorful, and the pasta side paired perfectly with it. We also shared a pitcher of the mint lemonade, which was refreshing and a great choice for the table. The highlight of the night was the Tartuffo dessert. It was presented with a dramatic dry ice effect that made it feel really special, and it tasted just as good as it looked. A big thank you to Ivonne, our server. She was friendly, attentive, and made excellent recommendations that helped make the meal even better. Great food, beautiful atmosphere, and wonderful service. We're looking forward to coming back.

It's located in the…read moreformer Italian restaurant space in the Weston AMC plaza, right next to the movie theater. First impressions: the new ownership did a full transformation of the space. Elegant, upscale, and easily one of the most beautiful restaurant interiors in Weston right now. They really elevated the entire feel of the location. Parking was easy since it's in a plaza, which is always a plus. We made reservations for Sunday at 5:30 PM for two families (8 total), and I called ahead to request two high chairs. Nice touch--they had both ready when we arrived. Our server, Ivonne, was friendly, attentive, and spoke both English and Spanish, which was appreciated. Service overall was good, though there were a couple moments where drink refills and water took longer than expected. It seemed more like they needed additional staff support during the rush. What We Ordered: Beef Carpaccio - Excellent start. Fresh, tender, delicate beef with well-balanced flavors. Definitely recommend. Truffle Risotto - Good flavor, but not a standout for me personally. Slightly heavier/richer than I prefer, though still enjoyable. Bone-In Cavatelli Short Rib - This was the star of the night. Outstanding dish. Great value for the portion and quality, and the combination of short rib with pasta was incredible. They were out of the usual pasta it comes with, so I had it substituted with pappardelle--and honestly, it should come that way permanently. Absolute must-order. Salted Nutella Chocolate Tart - Good dessert with rich flavors, though a little too elaborate to be unforgettable. The music and ambiance were excellent--perfect for either a date night or a family dinner. It's one of those places that feels lively yet comfortable. A Few Opportunities for Improvement: Service timing could be tightened up a bit, especially with beverages and table check-ins. Also, when we arrived, we were asked to move our stroller to make room for another nearby table, despite other tables being available. Small moment, but it created unnecessary inconvenience for guests with children. Final Thoughts: One Italian is a strong addition to Weston's dining scene. Beautiful atmosphere, standout dishes, family-friendly touches, and plenty of potential to become a local favorite. Definitely worth visiting. Go check it out and let me know what you think.

If you've never been, use a GPS app and know it's in a little industrial park right off 15th in Pompano (east of Dixie). You'll probably see orn of their delivery truck in the parking lot. A lovely woman welcomed us inside. There, we found a small shop with pastas, sauces, and a lovely assortment of Italian cookies. She showed us a price list with their cheese options. We settled on the burrata, cherry size mozzarella balls, and fresh buffalo mozzarella. The cheese is delicious and so fresh. It is just like the amazing cheese you can get at fine shops in Italy. What a gem we have this cheese maker in Pompano! Our visit was brief as sadly they do not provide a tour like they did years ago. But i will be back more frequently moving forward, especially to replicate some amazing dishes I've had with burrata lately.

The gnocchi arrabbiata especially reminds me of my dad's cooking -- comforting, flavorful, and made with heart. It's one of the biggest reasons I keep coming back. What makes this place so special is the feeling you leave with. You may arrive as a customer, but you truly leave as family. A gem in Wilton Manors and one of those rare places that feels like home every single time.

Honestly, I was expecting better after hearing so many great things about this place…read more The bread was a bit stale and underwhelming and came with frozen butter pads. We got the meatballs appetizer and I tried the truffle sauce and the red sauce. They were both good but not anything amazing. The entree I got was the Rigatoni Genovese and boy was it underwhelming. There were probably only 6 small chunks of beef in it - and for the price that really just doesn't cut it. The sauce on it was ok and the actual pasta noodle was good. You would be quite shocked if you googled what Rigatoni Genovese looks like and compare it to what I got. The lack of meat was quite surprising, especially since it was roast beef and not any high end meat like a New York strip or filet mignon. My friend ordered the Lemon Chicken dish and I actually found her dish to be better than mine but she was also ultimately disappointed, saying that it used to be so much better. Chad, our server, was great and did everything with a smile and a polite attitude. Another thing to note was that the place was dead on a Sunday night. Not sure if that is common for them but I found it a bit surprising. The Peruvian place next door had a consistent flow of people going in and out and other restaurants next to them seemed very busy. They also charge you for using a credit card (which I absolutely hate) so maybe take cash if you don't want the extra fee.

Di Farina - A True Hidden Gem!…read more Visited Di Farina for a company dinner tonight, and I am so glad I did! This is one of those hidden gems you almost don't want to share, just so there's always a table waiting for you. We started with a spread of appetizers: grilled octopus, garlic shrimp, fried burrata with arugula, and perfectly layered potatoes topped with braised short rib and fonduta. Every single dish was incredible--I honestly can't pick a favorite, though the short ribs stole my heart. For mains, I had the osso buco with pappardelle (their pastas are all freshly made in-house, and you can taste the difference). Our table also enjoyed the branzino, which was deboned tableside, the massive squid ink seafood linguini (so loaded with seafood you could barely see the pasta), and a rich, creamy carbonara that was perfectly balanced. Desserts were the perfect finale: tiramisu, cheesecake, and a refreshing lemon sorbetto, each as good as the last. The service was flawless, and the entire staff is Italian, adding to the authentic charm of the experience. Di Farina has officially become my new go-to spot for Italian nights. 10/10 on food, service, and atmosphere--can't wait to return!

You park in the back and enter along the bar. The intimate seating area faces the street. On this night I was late in joining some of my friends so I ordered simply, spaghetti carbonara which is always my Italian "go to". Combined with a lovely Cabernet, my dinner was like eating in a small trattoria in Italy. I like that they give you a choice of handmade pasta and toppings to choose from. We also got some complimentary cannolis which made me smile. Oh, and if you want some pasta to take home? Go to their attached shop and pick it up. Your restaurant receipt will give you 10% off if you use it within 7 days. Di Farina is that place that you need to add to your regular rotation of restaurants. It's just that unique of a place!
