First time back in a while, and it has changed, for the better. The room now has a warmth and comfort atmosphere it lacked before, from the beautiful dark floor tiles to stylish chairs and tables, the restaurant now suits its excellent food It was a solo night, and it's the intimate kind of restaurant where that's not a problem. The Burrata was wonderful, with gently grilled tomatoes instead of raw And of course, the lasagna was impeccable. I've always loved this place, and it has taken a step up with its new design, and the same delicious food with a family atmosphere and friendly service

Terrific small Italian place on Wilton Drive. The food, service and ambience are well worth the price 5 star food: pasta is all homemade.. the sauces and meats are also prepared with care, like someone's grandma from the old country was cooking in her home kitchen. Slightly pricey but worth it 5 star ambience: small and cozy classy interior on Wilton Drive. The big windows to the street make for good people watching. There are also a couple of small sidewalk tables. 5 star service: they manage really well for a bustling place with only 2 folks staffing the front. Both the manager and the server were friendly and helpful

Quick review. Was in Wilton Manors with a friend and we got hungry. Made a call to Mama Mia and was told to come on by. The place is cute and cozy. I ordered a simple pasta with bolognese sauce. Wow! Simple yes, but the pasta was flat long noodles and the banging sauce adhered to it perfectly. Our server, who I believe is the owner, was gracious and efficient. Manga! Can't wait to go back.

I went here about a week ago, and oh my God! The food was incredible. This is a cute, small, locally own little hole in the wall. Italian bistro on the drive. But I was blown away! I got the beet salad, sadly, I didn't get a picture, but it was very tasty! We also had the Caprese salad, which was pretty good. I got the....i don't remember what it was called, but it was like a truffle pear and ricotta or some type of cheese pasta, and oh my god it was incredible! Heavy, but I needed that. My only complaint is I wish there were more vegetables featured on the menu. but they did great with what already is on the menu!

Heard about this hidden gem from friends. Not near us but well worth the drive! Our daughters have Celiac, so it's not so easy to find a place that is both mindful of cross contamination, but at the same time has sheer perfection with the quality and taste of the food! The owners are from Italy and it shows in their delicious Italian cuisine! Best meatballs around! Everything was outstanding and fresh! The service was impeccable and the ambiance was charming. We will be regulars!

Mama Mia is a family restaurant that feels like a family. The atmosphere is quaint, casual, and comfortable with sidewalk seating. The owner is very accommodating to the dietary needs or restrictions. The food is authentic Italian! Mama is in the kitchen cooking... and always tasty with a good selection of options and specials. The menu changes from time to time. For those with a gluten diet restrictions, while the menu doesn't highlight GF items, the servers are well trained and the owner visits every table to highlight GF items - including specials that may be GF. The GF dishes are delivered with a GF stickler to ensure it is kept separate from non-GF at the table. When I am in town, I eat here ~1/week and take people here when visiting. The location is convenient to parking and great for taking a post-dinner stroll on Wilton Drive. I highly recommend this restaurant. The staff do not know that I write reviews and I am not affiliated with this restaurant.

The menu is small but allows you to choose your pasta, sauce, and toppings, and they even have a few desserts. There are two tables outside but otherwise, you must take your food and sit elsewhere. I ordered the amatriciana and forgot to order water. I was punished by choking on red pepper flakes and piping hot tomato sauce , but I was too hungry to care. It was kind of satisfying to walk around eating really hot noodles knowing I won't splatter any on my clothes because I'm eating it from a takeout box and not slurping it from a fancy plate. The downside - it's pricey and the sauce was way too salty for my liking. I needed that water for more than just the spice. I think for the unique concept, it's worth giving it a try if you are nearby, but I don't think I will be going out of my way to seek it out on the Ave.

Way more affordable than a night out at an Italian restaurant, but you still get the high quality food. Depending when you stop by, you might see some fresh pasta being made right in front of your eyes. Doesn't get fresher than that. We love some of the frozen platters like lasagna and eggplant rollatini that we just throw in the oven for an hour and voila, perfection. And be sure to stop by on the 29th each month for 29% of gnocchi. We always have trouble deciding which flavor gnocchi to take, but we always know it will be good. And don't think about throwing grocery store sauce on their perfectly made pastas. Grab one of their sauces for unforgettable flavor. On our latest trip, we tried the fettuccini and their four cheese sauce, which we added sautéed mushrooms and Mahi to at home. That sauce was absolutely mouth-watering and the pasta had delightful texture. The ladies in the shop are always friendly and helpful, so don't hesitate to ask if you have questions about how to prepare something or how many people it will serve. If you're not in the mood for pasta tonight, many of the products are frozen so if you're in the area don't miss your chance to stock up! This small shop is filled with pasta machines and wall to wall options. You can feast your eyes on bountiful pastas, desserts like tiramisu & profiteroles (our favorite), and even a small market of Italian and Argentinian coffees, sweets, and wines, so why not stop by and take a look?

The thyme in the butter was a nice touch. For appetizers, we tried the calamari. It was okay, but not the standout of the meal. The Argentinian-style Chicken Milanesa Napolitana, on the other hand, was excellent. It was crispy, flavorful, and the pasta side paired perfectly with it. We also shared a pitcher of the mint lemonade, which was refreshing and a great choice for the table. The highlight of the night was the Tartuffo dessert. It was presented with a dramatic dry ice effect that made it feel really special, and it tasted just as good as it looked. A big thank you to Ivonne, our server. 1 Star I am…read moreextremely disappointed with how we were treated at One Italian Grill, 1342 SW 160th Ave. We made a reservation, arrived expecting to be seated properly, and were taken to a booth where there was barely enough room for us to even fit. The person seated in the booth on the other side had pushed their seat farther back toward our side, leaving us with an absurdly small amount of space. It honestly felt like we were being asked to squeeze into seating meant for children. What made the experience unacceptable was the response from the staff. We explained the problem to the hostess and then to the manager, expecting someone to at least TRY to find a reasonable solution. Instead, the manager basically gave us a flat "No, we don't have anything else." No attempt to move us. No offer to wait a few minutes for another table. No attempt to adjust the seating, check another section, or come up with any alternative whatsoever. That was especially frustrating because, from what we could see, there appeared to be multiple possible options in the restaurant. Even if those tables were unavailable for some reason, a manager should be able to explain that and make some effort to accommodate guests -- especially guests who made a reservation. The lack of concern was worse than the seating problem itself. Things happen in restaurants. Tables get moved, seating gets tight, and reservations don't always go perfectly. What separates good customer service from bad customer service is how management responds when there is a problem. Here, the response was essentially: No. Nothing we can do. Deal with it. We came there intending to have a nice dinner and spend money at this restaurant. Instead, we were made to feel like our reservation and our comfort meant absolutely nothing. A reservation should mean more than simply having your name on a list. If you cannot provide reasonable seating for a reserved guest, the very least you can provide is basic courtesy, communication, and an attempt to find a solution. Unfortunately, we received none of that. Extremely poor customer service and an incredibly disappointing first impression.

This is one of those hidden gems you almost don't want to share, just so there's always a table waiting for you. We started with a spread of appetizers: grilled octopus, garlic shrimp, fried burrata with arugula, and perfectly layered potatoes topped with braised short rib and fonduta. Every single dish was incredible--I honestly can't pick a favorite, though the short ribs stole my heart. For mains, I had the osso buco with pappardelle (their pastas are all freshly made in-house, and you can taste the difference). Our table also enjoyed the branzino, which was deboned tableside, the massive squid ink seafood linguini (so loaded with seafood you could barely see the pasta), and a rich, creamy carbonara that was perfectly balanced. Desserts were the perfect finale: tiramisu, cheesecake, and a refreshing lemon sorbetto, each as good as the last. The service was flawless, and the entire staff is Italian, adding to the authentic charm of the experience. Di Farina has officially become my new go-to spot for Italian nights. 10/10 on food, service, and atmosphere--can't wait to return!

I went through the reviews and pictures extensively! Let me just say, not a single lie was told about the greatness that is La Perla! This is going to be a long review! Let's start with the service since that's a huge dealbreaker for me regardless of food taste. We had one main server, but another was assisting as well. I hate that I didn't ask their names again to include it in this review. Both women were extremely helpful, they checked on us the perfect amount, made sure we were satisfied, and even helped in our decision making. Not only were they extremely professional but they were super kind and honestly, both of them were very funny and made the night quite enjoyable without even trying; I could tell it was just their natural personality shining through their commendable service. Now on to the food. We ordered appetizers, entree, and dessert. We wanted help choosing our wine, and based off a couple questions, the selections of red our server recommended was very nice. The bruschetta was the absolute best I have EVER had! I am talking about an explosion of flavor that I didn't expect! I don't like fried foods but I did still enjoy my boyfriend's calamari/zucchini appetizer. He himself devoured it and said it was amazing. Our entree's were delicious and the ingredients were so fresh. Dessert was fantastic! I ordered the cannolis since they're a favorite of mine, however it is my birthday so they also brought out a cream puff and to my absolute surprise I loved it more than the cannoli (which was still super tasty). The restaurant is small and intimate. I saw a review saying it was noisy, but honestly you can't go to an Italian restaurant and expect it to be quiet. They foster an atmosphere where you want to eat, chat, and be merry. The "noise" was sounds of happy patrons enjoying their meals and their company. Nothing to complain about at all! As we ate I noticed that the staff turned over the tables very quickly. That was actually interesting to witness; as a group leaves, the staff ensures to promptly clean the table and reset it and as soon as you turn your head it's as if no one had dined there yet. Loved that, because who wants to be seated next to someone's leftovers? Haha. Overall, I loved my time here as well as my meal. I would 100% recommend this restaurant to others and I want to thank the staff for the amazing dinner experience!

The bruschetta was excellent, honestly some of the best I've had, and the molten lava cake was absolutely to die for. The flounder special was also loved by everyone at our table who ordered it. That said, there were a few misses. My mom had called a week ahead to let them know her husband was vegan, and the person she spoke with was very kind and said they would speak with the chef and be prepared. When we arrived, the waitress acknowledged they knew we had a vegan guest, but the option offered was simply spaghetti with vegetables. When it came out, it was just plain pasta without vegetables. They apologized and corrected it, but after the advance call, we expected something a bit more thoughtful. The restaurant was also very loud and crowded, and with our larger table, people on opposite ends had to practically yell to hear each other. The staff seemed stretched thin, so service was not as attentive as it could have been, though we did appreciate that we never felt rushed. Food-wise, the bruschetta and desserts were excellent, the meatballs were just okay, and while my mom loved the rack of lamb, I found mine a bit overdone and overpowered by the sauce. We were also disappointed they were out of branzino, since several people in our party had planned to order it. Overall, La Perla has a lot of charm, very good food, and a warm, authentic feel. I'd happily go back, but probably with a smaller party and maybe on a less busy night.
