BWARE: I Will NEVER bring my babies back to this place. Upon check-in the older man comes from the back 1st and looks at me like "why am I here? I replied I'm here to drop off both babies. I'm not a combative or confrontational person at all. I actually apologized and explained to him that we moved farther and 1 of my dog had puppies and we just had a morning. No empathy. But I would have simply taken.." I do apologize but that's company policy." But this condescending, egotistical, pompous of a human being told me "OH WELL GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!" All while walking back to the back. I have a business and would NEVER talk to my anyone if my customers this way ESPECIALLY if it's unwarranted. To add context they want ALL pets dropped off between 8:00-8:30. Even if someone is 10 minutes late which I was....Theres ABSOLUTELY no way you washed and groomed all of the animals already. I traveled a good distance, but thank you I will GLADLY take my services somewhere where I will be talked to with respect. I can't say enough good things about Susanna at Hillbilly Pets in Covington, GA. They always do an amazing job with my dogs (Tiki, Inki, Ghost and Taz ). The cuts are always perfect every time, and it's clear she truly cares about the pets she groom. My dogs always come home happy, clean and looking adorable. My Australian Shepherd puppy did not like the smell and the barking. He had been once before and no problems but this time he was super reluctant to enter. Got a call a 2 hours later to come get him. I asked if they could muzzle him but no. Evidently the groomer was just back from having been bitten prior. I understood and went to pick up my sweet, tail wagging, jumping all over me, dirty angel. They offered to groom him again if I got meds from the vet. Now I just take him to Tractor Supply where I wash him myself for $10 Don't be fooled by that innocent face. I took my dogs here 2 times, and can honestly say I did so with very uneasy feelings about doing so, which is why I never went back. (only gave it the 2 tries because my father in law was always so pleased with them) Both times I gave specific requests on how I wished my goldendoodle to be groomed, and neither time were those request followed. The last time, I arrived and she was made to look like a standard poodle and looked hideous. My doodle was very uneasy and very noticeably anxious. I decided to trust my gut and trust my precious pup's feelings and not return. Additionally, it always had a fowl odor. Understanding that "wet dog" doesn't smell pleasant, however this was different. We love Ms. Susanna. When our groomer abruptly disappeared, we were left with no where to go, despite the fact we were paying the last groomer about $50-70 per groom. We were very disappointed in our last groomer's behaviors. Our POM was always so frustrated when we picked him up and agitated that I felt they were mistreating him. Well, after calling around, I found Ms. Sussanna. She was amazing and very helpful in answering all of our questions and addressed every concern. She allowed us to bring our PetBaby and he LOVED the place. Each time he gets groomed, he struts like a stallion and do not want to touch the ground to get his feet dirty. hahaha His anxiety has decreased tremendously and he is very happy!!! The other beautiful part of this blessing is that her fees were very reasonable. We pay nothing that the last groomer was charging for the exact same services. YOU COULD NOT ASK FOR A BETTER HOME TO TAKE YOUR PETBABY TO BE CARED FOR. I HIGHLY ENDORSE AND RECOMMEND THIS GROOMER. She loves pets and what she does and it shows in the service that she provides for your PetBaby. It can take a while to get an appointment because she is HIGH DEMAND, but don't give up. I guess I should look at more reviews before booking places. There are tons of complaints on this woman and her temper. There are also complaints of people thinking that they drugged their animals. Took my dog to get groomed at a Hillbilly Pets/ Oh Susanna, I walk in to hear a woman screaming and cussing like a banshee. There are hand written signs all over the walls saying that you have to complain before you leave if you don't like your animal's cut and talking about not being disrespectful and cussing. There is a cat in a carrier sitting in a puddle. Some dude walks up to the front... here's how the conversation went. Dude- "yes?" Me- "Ummm... should we come back?" Dude- walks to the back, then back to me "No, we're just over booked." More screaming in the back from the woman. Me- started to back towards the door "I think we'll just try to book somewhere else." Dude- "FINE AND DON'T COME BACK!" If you have to post signs telling people not to cuss you out, you maybe the problem! read more

If I could give these people a "0" I would. Customer service skills are nil. I made an appointment for my 2 babies, the son was initially nice, he took my dogs and did not ask any information (name or phone). I asked did he know who I was and who the dogs belonged to, he said my phone number. He got upset when I said he did not ask me my # and called his mama to the from. She explained the process and I left my dogs. 4 minutes later I get a called with an angry tone telling we to come get my dogs because I should have know the process, she has been doing this for years. When I said I was comfortable leaving them she said in an angry tone "no you are not - just come back and get them". When I returned back to the shop she wanted to continue talking down to me. I explain that I was comfortable but who was she to tell me I how I felt and since she was not going to service my dogs, and was rude I told her she did not need to have further interaction with me and to please stop talking and give me my dogs! Final thought, if I am paying for a service I am entitle to ask questions and not be treated less than! NEVER AGAIN! read more

Horrible service and the place is a run down hovel that stinks to high heaven. The son is rude just like the father. This poor woman is letting those men run her business into the ground. If you care about your dog, don't take them here. They don't ask for shot records and my dog came home with long cuts from their razors. I took my two dogs there this morning. I have a Weimaraner mix and a coonhound, both large dogs. My coonhound (daisy) is very timid and I was worried of how this experience would go. I was afraid she would be completely traumatized and never want to get back in a vehicle. I dropped them off at 8am. I got a text at about 11:30 that they were ready. When we got there, they took the dogs out of the kennel and daisy was actually very relaxed! I was totally surprised of how relaxed and at ease she was! She doesn't take well to strangers at all, but she was loving all over the lady! They both smelled great and were soft and their nails looked great also! On top of the phenomenal price I was very satisfied with the service my babies received! It isn't a fancy upscale kennel but it is clean and they treat the dogs well. I will DEFINITELY be making this a monthly thing for my fur babies. I was doing it myself, but my back hates me after I'm done not to mention the huge mess I have to clean up and I can't express the Anal glands which is something that should be done regularly and that they do. Susannah is great! Her son not so much!! Bad attitude and no idea what customer service is. Don't you dare be late either!! I've been a customer for 10 years but I was 7 minutes late this mornin and was told rather rudely I'd have to schedule. Granted I learned a valuable lesson on being late but that don't mean act like a deusch. If getting them on the phone didn't take me 2 mos long I wouldn't have minded so much. My bad. I've been going here for over 20 years. They do a great job and I have not had a problem yet. I do agree that it could smell little better but they are shampooing dirty animals so that should be expected. I've not had a bad experience with he son; in fact he was extremely nice the one time that they closed and I had not picked up my dog yet. I've even allowed them to board my dog overnight and they were fine. Susannah is wonderful and passionate about what she does. read more

Absolutely the worst customer service Ever!! I personally use another kennel but when they were booked, I called Hillbilly pets. When I called the first time to aquire boarding. The lady on the phone said "We have room..In the morning is fine.. See you then and hung up. I thought it was strange that she never gave me rates or asked anything about my dog I was bringing or my name. I decided to call back and after trying several times the lady basicly screamed into the phone when I answered. I politely asked her to have someone call me back when the have time because it sounded like she was busy and frustrated. She then said "I have the time now if you'll just tell me what you want but I thought I already talked to you once what do you need??!!!" I told her nevermind since she was so rude I didnt want to do business with her.. She screamed "Good I don't want to business with you either!!! Obviously this lady has too much to do. If I could give zero stars, I would. I have used this place for a while, because they have great prices. However, I recently had a horrible, almost frightening experience. When they say they are "Hillbilly", they aren't being cute. They are being accurate, in a "Wrong Turn" kind of way (if you've seen the movie). I went to drop my pet off and met one of their employees I have never dealt with before. She had a horrible attitude and shook her head when I said I wanted my dog cut short, but not shaven, as if I was asking for something unreasonable. I asked her if there was a problem and she snapped at me. She was also being rude to another male employee there. I just told them "nevermind" because I had this horrible, sick feeling in my gut about leaving my dog with them. They said they were stressed out because it was Christmas. However, when I decided to leave, that's when it got ugly. The male employee, instead of apologizing for his coworkers unprofessionalism, said "Okay, don't ever come back here then." This is one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had in my life. Think about this before you drop your pet off there: If they will treat humans like crap, how are they treating the animals when no one is around to see it? I couldn't do that to my girl. read more
