Not bad and not good. service was good the people were friendly and made sure we were ok. The food came out fast which is great since my kiddos were hungry. The food was good but not all. The CA ROLL was good, the banchan was pretty good too. Their bibimbap was ok too. We didn't like their tofu soup too much or their ramen. The meat was horrible according to my husband, it was hard. The soup broth was not good either. The tofu soups tasted weird.... It wasn't the best but wasn't awful. I guess you have to try it yourself to see what your review will be.

Not the greatest photos but the food and service was amazing! You can cook everything yourself or order it already done. Also love that they had private karaoke rooms for KTV. Will definitely be returning and worth checking out

My Son and I did a random Google search for a good rated Asain restaurant and we decided on Ohya. Had pretty high reviews from a lot of people. Quite a large menu to choose from! There were "package" deals. We choose the 2 person option beef combo from 95 130. Of the options we chose beef belly, Galbi , Jumaluck and Bulgi. We weren't expecting ALL the sides that comes with the order! They just keep on coming and coming! Kitchen, cheesy corn, side picked veg, Ramen, KFC, deep fried dumplings. Best thing of the sides was the corn. Stretchy cheese and sweet corn. The rest didn't impress much. The dumplings were a little dry and stuffed with veg. The KFC was ok. The Ramen had an ok broth but the noodles tasted of water. No seasoning. We added some of the dipping sauce and kitchen plus, to add flavor. Now for the beef. Bulgogi was pretty good. The beef ribs that they butterfly out was tough and full of gristle. The other chunks of beef were tough, no matter what temp you cooked it to. Eventually, we added dipping sauce, onions and ramen broth to get a flavorful bite. After some beers and sake, the bill came to a little over 165.00. My Son said he thought it was pretty good. Me, I wasn't very impressed. You get a lot, but if it's not that great, I don't think it makes up for the mediocre quality. It was an enjoyable experience as far as an interactive experience.

Chicken Teriyaki Bowl (J11): bowl of chicken teriyaki over white rice

One of my work colleagues wanted to go to a sushi restaurant today, and while I do not eat seafood or sushi, I gave it a try when seeing that there were non-sushi options on the menu. We went over the lunch hour and immediately were seated and offered menus and service. It was not busy but there were others dining in the restaurant. Then again, it was over a holiday, so I'm sure there would be more customers around on a normal day. They have a bar with an advertised happy hour and televisions oT opposite walls of the restaurant with sports games on. Right after we ordered, we were brought some appetizers. I recognized broccoli, potatoes, and macaroni salad as three of the six items whereas the other three were spicy vegetables of some sort. Still, it was nice to have the option to try different items while we were waiting for the food to arrive. We only had to wait an average amount of time for our dishes, and when they arrived, they were quite tasty and filling. I ordered the Chicken Teriyaki Bowl (J11), which was a bowl of chicken teriyaki over white rice. I'm glad I didn't order a full order of chicken teriyaki as that would have resulted in a lot of leftovers. My colleague ordered Yuk Gas Gang (E3), which consisted of hot and spicy slice beef and vegetable soup. We both enjoyed our meals and will be coming back. If you order through the website (https://goohya.com), you can use a promo code for 10% off your order of $50 or more. They seem to offer some lunch items though we didn't see it on the menu when we were there today (but then again, we could have missed it). You can also sign up for the rewards program via e-mails and/or text messages, which gives you 100 points (towards your first 500 point reward). All in all, this seems like the kind of place that could be fun to bring a larger group to whether in the evening or even a larger group gathering over lunch. I certainly recommend it for others to check it out.

Everything was so good and filling. The service was great and you can tell the chef takes time with the food. Will be going back soon. The plaza is also a good location.

Went here for dinner since I was in town for my birthday and really wanted a dinner with all my az friends. Service was pretty good. There was 7 of us and everything came out pretty quickly. We did kbbq here and some of use order sushi on the side as well. Food is good. I didn't have any complaint. This place is smaller than a lot of kbbq places back home. I ended up smelling like meat at the dart bar but that's okay haha. The kbbq came with soup and a chicken appetizer that I really liked.

I will unfortunately not order from this place again. Although most order items were fine, the 2 piece scallop sushi were spoiled. It had a very strong metallic flavor that a scallop should not have. I can't comment on service and ambiance because it was a delivery order.

I've tried sushi restaurants all over the valley in different price ranges for the last decade and I will always come back to good old faithful - Ohya! All my friends and family love this place, the sushi quality is fantastic and has never wavered regardless of changes in staff/management. Flavors are amazing, you get such a fantastic bang for your buck. Sake bombs, DBacks rolls, & vegas rolls are the way to go. 100/10

    The Gangster Roll

Went this past Friday with the family for my dad's birthday. I got the gangster roll, the Hawaiian roll, and yellow tail sashimi. The waiter was really nice and checked in often. I have been here a few times in the past and it kind of fell off for awhile. Looks like it's again heading in the right direction. I will be going back.

Miso soup and Spicy Crab Roll

Don't skip the lunch menu here. You can get a giant meal for under $20. It'll last for 2 meals, effectively making each meal less than $10. I think the lunch menu is only M-F but it's never too busy during lunch, service is nice and the food is great. I usually just get water with lemon bc I really like to taste all of my food. So no beverage was counted in the cost. After tip it was over $20. I was absolutely starving when I was here but left so full with extra food for another meal. They have a few TVs on, so even if you go by yourself and forgot your phone, you're not just eating quickly and leaving. As far as the food goes: Miso soup- pretty standard as all miso soup is pretty similar. Spicy crab roll - it wasn't mostly rice, so that's always good. I think they may have changed either the sushi rice recipe or the actual rice as it was different than I remember here but it was still pretty good. I could have had it spicier though. I used *all* of the wasabi & they now use "Melinda's sriracha" which is also different. Most sriracha fans know about the shortage though. Chicken katsu- decent but it was pretty basic. I think their pork katsu has better flavor. I wanted to try something different this time, but if you're having trouble deciding, the pork is better in my opinion. Teriyaki beef- so so so good. The beef is always tender and flavorful. It's really my favorite place to get beef teriyaki and I don't go anywhere else for it. Korean sides- yum. Really that one word suffices. You get different kinds of sides, but kimchi is always one of them. It's always delicious here. The spring roll they include tastes like a standard frozen veggie spring roll but it doesn't bother me. There are karaoke rooms too, so karaoke isn't limited to the east side. When I was here there were not that many patrons, but seemed like quite a few to-go orders. Keep this place busy so it never closes.

The wall next to the booth in the right far corner near the bathrooms. The roach that crawled out of the wall.

This place was my favorite for years. Every year I would go for my birthday dinner. I recently visited in January and we will never return. Let me just say I spend over $100 here every time we visit. The food has taken a turn for the worst and the service has always been awful. I sat near the corner booth with my family. The restaurant was quiet and minimal sound with a few people eating. We ordered and then we were going to get our food served, a medium sized roach crawls out from the crack in the wall right above our table. We expressed our concerns and were able to move. Unfortunately the time was late we couldn't go elsewhere. We are at a different table and I requested a discount due to the food not being so great on top of the roach appearing next to our table scaring my children from even wanting to be there. They argued about it for a few seconds and then gave me $15 off. Knowing that sized roach is only common with an infestation. With that issue that completely cuts all ties from us ever returning and I cannot say this is any longer my favorite place. Very gross and so disgusted with the fact that the issues are not being addressed. They also have 6 health code violations listed on here and I'm not shocked any more of why they do.

We ordered 3 rolls, and they were all incorrect. The teriyaki was garbage, and the fried rice was bland as hell. Don't bother.

I'm used to BBQ places where you get kimchi, green onions, fish cakes, maybe some bean sprouts with one other dishes. It was just missing a ton of sides. On top all that there is no sauce bar. Typically Korea BBQ has a huge selection of sauces you can make or they give you 3 or so to try since the meat might come unseasoned and semi frozen. This place thought, mhmmmm, fuck it, give them soy sauce, that'll do the trick. I was kinda bummed, I saw the reviews on Google and thought it might be worth a try. It wasn't and was just okay, the price was not okay. I paid 80 American dollars for a subpar meal.

I've gotten their beef teriyaki bento box and it came with rice, salad, 2 piece California rolls, and 2 pc fried gyozas. The California rolls were ok, not bad. I would say it's 7/10. The bibimbap was very fresh and delicious but a little pricey ($18.95). The bulgogi was marinated very well and rice was super crispy inside the hot stone bowl. Seafood tofu soup was pretty good and not too overly salty. It was very flavorful and the tofu was very soft. This meal was a satisfying all-you-can-eat feast that balances quality meats, traditional Korean side dishes, and crowd-pleasing appetizers, topped by superior service from Jimmy. From the moment the food arrived, the presentation set the tone. The table was quickly filled with colorful banchan (Korean side dishes), including kimchi, cucumber salad, bean sprouts, pickled radish, fish cake, and potato salad. While these sides may seem simple, they play an important role in Korean BBQ, providing contrast to the rich grilled meats. The kimchi was fresh and vibrant, with a bright red color with plenty of spice and fermentation. The appetizers looked like a strong start to the meal. The japchae (glass noodles) were well-seasoned, offering a slightly sweet and savory flavor profile. The gyoza had a crisp golden exterior, suggesting a satisfying crunch before giving way to a savory filling. One standout appetizer was the corn cheese--a bubbling skillet of sweet corn and melted cheese that looked indulgent, comforting, and impossible to resist. The fried chicken also deserves mention; the crispy coating was perfectly golden and paired with a vibrant dipping sauce that added a sweet-spicy kick. The real star, however, was the barbecue itself. The platters of raw meat has excellent variety, with beautifully marbled cuts that promised flavor before they even hit the grill. Steak, in particular, was thick-cut and rich, tender and well-marbled. Once grilled, the meat developed an appealing caramelized exterior with just the right amount of char. There is something uniquely enjoyable about cooking your own food, sharing dishes, and pacing the meal at your own speed. The tabletop grill becomes the center of the dining experience, encouraging conversation and making the meal feel more like an event than simply dinner. The restaurant's atmosphere appears casual, clean, and focused on the food. The grill setup was well-integrated into the tables, and the overall dining area looked comfortable without unnecessary distractions. The emphasis remained where it should be: on the endless flow of food. For the price point shown on the menu, the value appears excellent. The combination of unlimited appetizers, numerous beef and pork options, seafood selections, and traditional Korean side dishes offers plenty of variety. Diners can sample multiple proteins and flavors without feeling restricted to a single entrée. Whether you're a first-time visitor or a seasoned Korean BBQ enthusiast, this is a meal worth gathering friends and family around the grill for.
