a hand holding a bottle of olive oil

If you're cruising Clackamas Mall and like to cook or host parties.... this shop is a must stop! It's located on Level 2 to the left of Bath and Body Works right by the food court. When you walk in the decor matches the product. Earthy, warm and inviting, the left wall is covered in Oil and Vinegar taps. Half the wall has bottles and some prepackaged product. The opposite walls have prepackaged products like sauces, dips, etc. The middle of the store has 2 tasting tables. One with top flavors of Oil and Vinegar and the other with popular sauces and dips. Each tasting station is self serve with toothpicks and bread bits. The bread tends to go stale quickly and broken up too small to pick up even with a toothpick. The selections are clearly labeled under each tester cup. It's clean and well kept. The selection is vast! Olive oils, grapeseed oils, fruit vinegars, etc! If you're a big fan of fancy dips, they have plenty of those too. You pay by weight for each tapped item. They sell bottles for you to fill with item of your choice - so you pay for the item by weight + price of bottle for that weight. The bottles are glass so you only need to buy once and then bring them back for a refill. My first visit i bought the smallest bottle to fill the first weight tier of a Roasted Garlic Oil. I paid the $7 for the ml of oil +$3 for the bottle. The bigger the bottle, the cheaper it is, since you're paying for more product. Service is knowledgeable and mostly friendly. If you're not a foodie snob prepare to encounter one while shopping. Every time i come in someone is there snobbing it up about some oil or vinegar like it's a fine wine. To each his own. It is Portland area!!! All in all, high quality product. Prices to match.

Oil & vinegar dispenser bar.. Sooo delish!! especially the white truffle oil!

Most awesome place ever! Tons of unique oils, vinegars, herb blend pastes & olives to try! The staff here are wonderfully helpful and surprisingly not overbearing. Prices are very reasonable, from $4-$14 for 100ml (3.4oz) for the oil & vinegar. The only sucky thing is that you have to pay for the bottles. cheapest 100ml bottle is $2.95. The highlight of this place is definitely their truffle oils. They carry both black and white truffle oil. I recommend the white ($14 for 100mls). Absolutely delicious. I can't imagine what would happen to my taste buds if i paired the white truffle oil with some equally scrumptious lobster mac & cheese. Probably the best store at the Clackamas Mall. You MUST stop by!

    Delicious fruity vinegars!

Such an unexpectedly awesome place inside Clackamas Town Center! The large vats of flavored oils and vinegars drew me in, but after tasting all the delicious fruity vinegars, I ended up taking a 200ml bottle of the mango vinegar home (HIGHLY RECOMMEND BTW). There isn't a strong vinegar taste so they can be used not just in salads but also on toast, greek yogurt, etc. Even if you don't buy anything, it's exciting to taste so many different types of infused oils and vinegars. The staff was also very helpful and informative, encouraging me to try many different samples to see what I liked. This is the perfect place to grab a unique gift for all your foodie friends.

Balsamic, balsamic, balsamic. It's mainly what they sell. Infused vinegar of various flavors (most extremely sweet) at crazy prices. $40 a liter and up for most, that's some damn pricy salad tossing. Oddly, their raspberry vinegar also tasted like balsamic, no idea what's up with that. For the record, I have an honest-to-god vinegar collection in my kitchen, so I was pretty keen to come here and sample the tasty treats. Sadly, aside from the cool wall rack and nice retail displays, this place fell pretty short. The vinegars were good, but not THAT good. They do have oils and kitchen knick-knacks too, and it's a pretty nice change for Clakamas town center, but still, I left feeling underwhelmed.

    $30 surprise bag goodies
    Tiara M.

I love this place. I always get excited walking in here and sampling the combinations of different oil and vinegar pairings. The staff seems pretty knowledgeable and provide great flavor suggestions. Also, twice a year they put together awesome surprise bags of random goodies which you can purchase for prices between $20-$50, and the items you find inside are valued at well more than you pay. I purchased a $30 bag and just one of the many items that were included, a salt and herb grinder, was priced regularly at $15.95. It was like un-Christmas. Pick one up before they run out!

Fun store! Great Oregon souvenirs to be found here at this Clackamus Town Center mall location…read more There was a big foot or sasquatch plushy in the window display and I immediately photographed it. Lots of cool Oregon and Portland stuff from greeting cards, postcards magnets, mugs, clothing, chocolates, candies, spices, blankets, wine, home goods and yes, a whole sasquatch section! Lol! They have plushies of Oregon's official state animal which is the beaver. It is also the mascot for Oregon State University. The young lady at the register was nice and friendly. I spent about $42 here and it's awesome that Oregon does not charge sales tax. (In my local area in California, sales tax is 10.25 percent!) We also saw a Made in Oregon store at the PDX Airport. If visiting again, I would return to this mall location or another 4 stars!

They have a wide selection of Oregon postcards -- not just the typical tourist postcards but also illustrated postcards from local artists and postcards from Lantern Press. I wish I would have thought to look there when I started swapping postcards on Postcrossing. The prices for the Smith Western postcards are some of the lowest in the area -- cheaper than getting them at tourist attractions. They also have stickers and illustrated greeting cards that are Oregon themed. I agree that the food selection isn't what it used to be. I was able to find some teas that aren't available anywhere else. It's also convenient to go in and find a curated selection of Oregon made foods (moose munch, Portland ketchup etc.) when I don't have the time for a Fred Meyer visit. But the candy selection isn't what it used to be. I wish that the store took returns for online purchases and that there was more space between the aisles. Overall, I really like this store and am glad it's in the mall.
