Update! So after my car overheated today, I was barely able to make it to a auto body shop. Having to buy coolant and stop every mile and a half because the car was overheating so badly I was told by a different mechanic that whoever tried changing my coolant broke it! Explains why I didn't have any problems before bringing it here. Also explains why I was told they could no longer provide the coolant service. Don't bring your car here unless you want your car damaged and then be lied to about why they can't provide the service directly to your face. read more

Came here 15 min before closing on a Sunday with our two cars for an oil change and the team here still had amazing customer service! They were friendly and we were out of there within 20 minutes for both cars. As soon as I pulled up, they checked my license plate and had all my information pulled up. I also come from customer service and know what a pain it is to get customers at the last minute but everyone here was happy and smiling and delivering great service. I would rather spend a little more than deal with a cheaper place closer to home where the wait is longer and everyone is in a mood. I have a knock a few stars off, I got my oil changed here in my Mercedes a while back and thought things were ok. But after getting my oil changed at another vendor, they pulled 10 qtz of oil out when it should have been 7. That means they did not pull all the oil out when I got my oil changed. This is truly a place you can get your oil changed in about 15 minutes (depending if there's a line or not) without ever having to leave your car! It's really easy to fit an oil change into my busy schedule now. I pull up and they change my oil, but also check my tire pressure, top off my fluids, and check my filters, transmission fluid, and lights. They offer additional services but aren't pushy. The rate for my Honda Civic with regular oil was $61 + taxes, but I found a $20 off Yelp coupon that they honored, so I paid $45 total in the end. read more

What drew me here was the speed. Like Jen C., I too am a single parent. Between work, my school, his school and activities, my cats, and everything in between has me racing against the clock every single day so time is of the essence. Located on Monterey Rd. in South San Jose, I have driven by dozens of times. The shelter where I pickup, drop off, and visit my fosters is across the street. I typically get my service done at Honda; during my lease I purchased the package. Now that I have "purchased" the car, I have to start relying on businesses like this place to get my car serviced. I did receive a coupon from Honda but when I came here, I was in and out w/in 30 min. Came for an oil change. I left w/ an oil change, filters replaced, and transmission fluid replaced as well. I did obtain a $10 off coupon from Yelp (thank you!!) because every dollar helps. I was overdue bud kept putting it off till I knew I must do it before the Lunar New Year so today was the day. I am very glad I came. The guys that worked there were amazing; welcoming, funny, charismatic. I almost put off the transmission fluid replacement but I was already there, so I decided to just get it done. Taking care of your car is like taking care of yourself. Super quick service as advertised, but their lack of attention to detail ended up causing me more trouble and time than it was worth. First, I needed to get my entire windshield replaced just 2 days before. Without asking (even though I appreciate it and it was a nice thought), they "cleaned" it which left visible streaks on the pristine literally brand new glass. This was just an annoyance. Second, they checked my tire pressure (also without asking, and also not needed bc I have a tire pressure monitor on my dashboard, but I appreciate the sentiment) and lost one of my valve caps. It's a cheap piece and when I called, they offered to replace it when I came in or even meet me at a third location, but the roundtrip drive ended up not being worth the hassle. I still had to spend time getting to another auto parts store to get the replacement though, which they also claimed they wouldn't be able to refund me unless I stopped by in person to reverse and reprocess the transaction. These were honest mistakes but were completely preventable. The oil change itself was speedy and the staff were all friendly, just expect multiple upsell attempts during the interaction. read more

Forgot to make this post a long time ago. This place kept putting too much oil in my car everytime I know this because I checked my dip stick after the oil change. Ended up costing me like $350 to fix my oil sensor on my vehicle mind you my car is a 2011 and this happened 6 years back when I used to take it there. I ended up learning how to change my own oil cost me $45 dollars for a mobile one the best oil you can get and best oil filter you can get and brand new gasket heck even a brand new oil plug. All this from the O'Reillys store across the street. They charge like 120 for full synthetic oil changer at this place. Moral of the story no one cares about your car the way you do so either do it your self or take it to a actual mechanic shop these places kinda rip you a new one if you dont know what your looking for. read more

Damian and Chris are awesome! I stopped coming here and went to Jiffy Lube for about 5 years since they provided tire rotation. Boy, this was a big mistake! Jiffy Lube kept under tightening oil plugs, yet overtightenening and stripping lug nuts, and on one occasion lost a wheel lock! Enough was enough and I decided to come back to Oil Changers this morning and what Damian discovered was that he could not take off the oil filter because "the last shop that worked on it didn't properly lubricate the seals." They told me that they could only do the oil change today and that I would need to go back to Jiffy Lube to see if they can remove the filter and possibly have to replace the oil filter housing. Dreading at the thought of going back to Jiffy Lube to argue my case- Damian tries one last time, car jerking back and forth, from underneath the car I hear "I got it!" Excellent service once again. They recommended other services for my car, but wasn't aggressive trying to oversell anything. Lesson well-learned...Jiffy Lube (specifically off Camden Ave) is TRASH... I'll be coming back here to Oil Changers (and probably just take it down the street to Calderon for tire rotations). read more

I visited this location yesterday for a quick oil change. I was really impressed by the speed of service and the politeness of the crew. I was, however, not impressed with the fact that, although they made verbal and written notes regarding supposed major oil leaks, they didn't actually stop to discuss these leaks. My car was recently inspected by a dealership that was fixing a recall issue. It's ironic that they didn't mention anything beyond an oil change being needed. Based on this one interaction, I'm knocking two stars off. The price for the oil change was about $110. I consider that good for full synthetic and the convenience of having someone else do it without an appointment. I also appreciate that they visually had me inspect the dipstick to confirm the oil level and color after installation. I could be persuaded to return in the future. read more
