I like that they old-school check my lights, blinkers, wipers, etc. Yes they are selling but it's at the same time appreciated. Not a hard sell my any means. Highly recommended, still. They don't replace the bolts on the service covers under the vehicle - my two experiences: 1) Found a cover hanging low to the ground under vehicle. Upon inspection there was a broken zip tie where a bolt should have been - this zip tie had to be installed at my last oil change on 2/5/2024 at the Oil Exchange in Novi (no other place has worked on the vehicle). 2) Today 8/30/2024 - (Note - I installed a new metal shield from Ford under the vehicle a few weeks before hand, due to issue #1 and everything was great). At the oil change I asked that they be careful with the new shield and removing the 3 bolts on the access panel. I heard the impact wrench remove three bolts. At the end of the oil change I only heard the impact wrench 1 time. So I asked about it and was told I must not have been paying attention as he heard 3 or 4 impact events. Then he offered to check and came back and said the 3 or 4 bolts were fine. I asked if it was 3 or 4 bolts (I know it's 3). He then offered to let me check it out. So I went into the pit under the vehicle and found 1 bolt tight, 1 bolt installed but very loose, and 1 bolt missing. The young man said it's fine. I had to insist that they install and torque all three bolts. It took some time to find a replacement bolt with the same pitch, but it has a different head size. Then they installed all three bolts with me watching. I talked to the older man under the vehicle and mentioned my 1st experience (above) and he admitted that they have used zip ties. They seem like nice people, but they don't do a good job and lie about it. This doesn't give me confidence with the rest of the oil change. read more

My change oil soon light came on so I went to the Oil Exchange for the very first time because they had a coupon special for Wednesday's only 16.95. I told the gentleman I just barely hit 2000 miles and had the oil changed at 1000 at the dealers say so. He said" Let me check". Turned out the oil was perfect. Seems like the dealer had it set to go off every 1000 miles!! They cleaned my windshield, checked my tires and sent me on my way. These guys could have taken advantage of this senior woman, but didn't. It's not often you find this kind of honesty. I recommend them as highly as can be. Five Stars are not enough!! NOVI OIL CHANGE IS GREAT!!! these guys are the best!! i totally trust them. they r super nice and honest!! i have had some bad experiences with other oil change places and been totally ripped off. its so nice to be able to not stress and not wonder if you acctually need what they are telling u do. if they tell u that u need some thing u really do!! my previous car was an about 10 years old when i bought it and i loved the car and wanted to make it last as long as possible. the first time i brought it in they suggested i use an oil for older cars it cost a few dollars more but only needed to be changed every 5000 miles instead of 3000 mile. so really in the long run i would be saving some money. i have never felt pressured here. every single employee i have ever encountered has been great. and like the other reviewer said they offer u bottled water and dont mind doing little extras for no charge. there has been several times a warning light has come on in my car and they were more then happy to check the code for me and let me know if anything was wrong. i think i have been going to them for prob 6 or 7 years not exactly sure when my first visit was. also they dont make u feel bad or guilty if u a little (or alot) late getting ur oil change. read more

The owner told me my drain plug threads were gulled and I need a new plug. I picked one up and brought it back to them a month later. The guy who changed it asked the owner if he should give me the old plug. Couldn't hear what the owner said but the guy didn't give it back. I asked for it and the owner looked a little surprised then gave it to me. The threads were fine. I am a certified technician so I know what bad threads look like. I will never go there again. read more
