Slow service they were mostly focused on finishing their online orders. The slivers of fish on the roll were so thin. Would not recommend.

One the way back home we stopped here and it was such a good random place to stop and eat. Staff is friendly, food arrived on time, food was amazingly good. Very clean place and plenty of parking spots. Inside is authentic Japanese look. Definitely recommend this place if you around town or simply like us traveling along the 80 and want to stop and eat.

Letters gone has been this way for over a year

My wife and I were one of their first customers. Food was good service was great. Had a few hit or miss meals so we stopped going. We went back after a few months and it was good but lunch for 2 $54.32 was too much. The reason I'm posting this is we hope Scott looks at the attached photos. The outside of the restaurant looks like nobody cares anymore. Our lunch today was OK. Tofu tasted old. Tempura was greasy which means the oil wasn't hot enough. My wife's bento box was clumsy and chicken was dry. See pictures below. Good luck Scott.... maybe your Auburn store needs more attention.

This cute spot brought me back to Japan! Easy parking, located near Bowling and a gas station, this spot has some of the best Japanese food I've had in the U.S. The chicken teriyaki and popcorn chicken teriyaki were delicious. The 49ers Roll had a good amount of fresh salmon and rice ratio with the right amount of lemon on top. The California roll was super filling and the pieces were pretty thick too. The seaweed salad was fresh and the miso soup was refreshing. The vegetable tempura was light and crispy. The salmon salad was also light, fresh and nicely seasoned. The food was all so delicious I can't wait to go back again!

Located in Auburn off Hwy I-80, this restaurant offers a large parking lot, making it convenient for visitors. The inside is cozy, with tables featuring cute partitions that add a touch of privacy. The service was quick, and the food was delicious. There's a variety of items on the menu, including sushi rolls, noodles, chicken and rice. Overall, it's a great spot for a satisfying meal. Also if you love their teriyaki sauce you can purchase for $10 dollars.

Our local sushi go to...felt like I need to review as we live it so much! Rolls always fresh and delicious. Thai chicken salad to die for. Tempura perfect thin coating. Bento boxes A+ and my go to...place is super clean and authentic and the service is always top notch! All the girls that work there are super kind and always remember me and my little family! Best sushi in Auburn.

2025 beef teriyaki plate. $18 after tax, before tip. 4/5. Wouldn't come again. Decent/OK.

Happy Mother's Day!!…read more Today for Mother's Day, we decided to celebrate with my neighbor and have the best sushi in town here at Jinme. Jinme is consistent. Delicious every single time... so tonight, we celebrated with my daughter. We sat right away and how gorgeous was it tonight!? Balloons, streamers, and Mother's Day table cloths. After a little bit, our server came over and we ordered sunomono and vegetable tempura. Their vegetable tempura was a mixture of the vegetables, in one. Like a birds nest. It came with 4 pieces and a dipping sauce. It was different, but very good. The sunomono (cucumber salad) was cut in half into thin slices without the seeds, and the dressing on it was delicate and went so good with the cucumbers. Quite a bit of time had passed and we were given some complimentary spring rolls to snack on. The sauce it came with was a little spicy & sweet. We ordered a Simba roll, Auburn City roll, 49ers Roll, the Ultimate Roll, and salmon sashimi. All looked fantastic! The sashimi came with miso (as an appetizer). We will ended up sharing everything with each other. I really like that baked salmon roll (Simba). It has a sweet mayo on top. The Salmon Sashimi is my favorite bc the salmon on top is made with high quality salmon belly. The freshness makes me crave this often. The 49ers roll was delicious. It was different from your regular sushi rolls with rice in the outside. it had an entire cucumber casing on the outside of it. The Auburn Roll has thick pieces of red rings and salmon throughout... what a dream... Lastly, we ordered moochi ice cream and deep fried strawberry ice cream... both were out of this world!! This was the first time I have ordered dessert here and it was phenomenal! Strawberry just gets me! Our service was great! The decorations were a cute touch, too. Jinme went above and beyond to make us feel special on Mother's Day!

Service 0/5, Ambience 5/5, Food 4/5…read more We came on a Thursday evening around 5 pm on 6/4 and it wasn't busy. First, I want to say the chef was younger, but he put alot of care and effort into each dish, so he should definitely be acknowledged. However, as soon as we walked in, there was no greeting from both of the female servers, only cold stares. Many servers do not give great service to younger tables and assume they won't tip. This occurred throughout our dining experience and we didn't feel welcomed at all. Our table also wasn't the biggest and there was no pre-bussing done to clear our dining space. Also, as a recent graduate, I brought my cap to receive a $15 gift card for their promotion. Instead, she gave a "neighborhood" discount (10% off which made it $10 off). I didn't mention anything since I did not feel like coming back to this location. Then I looked at the receipt, wrote a 20% tip, but this was where I felt scammed. It's difficult to explain and I wish I took a picture, but please check your math on the suggested tip. Total with discount: $98 Previous Total: $108 Suggested Tip: 20% = $20 and Suggested Total: $128 I don't mind tipping $20, but the suggested total would include a $30 tip? I don't know if it's intentional and the server wanted to pocket the discount as her tip, but it did not feel fair. We had two younger kids with us and I didn't want them to notice, so we just left after paying. We been to the Sacramento location many times, but their Roseville location was disappointing. Horrible service.

They use good bread on their burgers, my friend said their buns are delicious! I ordered a vegan burger and even the cheese and the bread was vegan! There's even a vegan noodle dish. This place leans into sushi: haven't tried this trip. I felt welcomed by the staff, and the folx inside seemed pleasant. Being people of color, we really appreciated this. The ambiance is beautiful, especially the massive chandelier in the center of the room. I ordered the 12-piece sashimi dish ($31), and the salmon was the standout; it was glistening, juicy, and incredibly fresh. I also appreciated that the miso soup was included; it had a perfect consistency and wasn't overly salty. However, the side salad was a bit of a letdown, it was quite bland and barely had dressing. We ordered an $8 oyster shooter, most come with either hot sake or cold sake, theirs was room temperature, a little roe, tiny oyster in a very tiny one shot glass. It took 30 minutes before it was served. We also ordered sea salt edamane, stuffed jalapeños, sunomono salad. The cucumber salad was very good, the edamane looked like they had been frozen then defrosted and served, and the stuffed jalapeños tasted off, we ate them, 4 total. My wife ordered a spider roll, it had a strong gamy taste like a lower grade fish that was used. My wife tried two pieces, swallowed the first and spit the second into her napkin, to her it was awful. I ordered the Shashimi Regular, that came with a small salad and miso soup, they were both good, I received the shashimi last, long after the spider roll; it was interesting, but the fish was more of a class C instead of a class A. Their prices were class A and the fish didn't meet that expectation. It was an $84.50 meal but didn't meet the expectations of a class A sushi meal. The waitress was very professional and asked us about the meal, we were honest and she took the spider roll off the bill. She offered an other roll but by then my wife was done. My wife declined the offer. The restaurant's ambiance was modern and very nice. I would not recommend eating here to my friends.

I tried their sukiyaki set, both wagyu and seafood. I wish they had given some instructions on the approach or order I should eat the sets of food. It was a little chaotic trying to figure out how I could submerge all the ingredients in the broth so they would cook evenly. The tempura is perfectly crispy, but the rice was a little brittle and got dried really fast. The texture was more like Vietnamese broken rice, and it caught me off guard because when I tried their sushi a while ago, they used very high-quality rice. As is typical with sukiyaki, the broth becomes very flavorful at the end, absorbing all the flavors from high-quality ingredients, but my udon got a little dry while waiting. Since I tried both set, the wagyu sukiyaki broth became a little too sweet at the end. My favorite is definitely the seafood sukiyaki broth. Would I try these pricy sukiyaki again? Probably not. Would I go back to Azayaka again? 100%. This would not discourage me from going back there any amount.
