This was my first omakase experience and I was not disappointed! First, the chef was so personable and we had great conversations. As for the food, there wasn't a single miss! I really liked the toro, ocean crab, and hamachi! And the crepe cake was so amazing as the last course :) Oh and the lychee heaven cocktail is very strong but my mom loved it! We came here to celebrate my med school acceptance and I'm so happy that I got this amazing experience! All the fish we ate were fresh and the quality was superb. I will definitely come back here to try their regular menu next time :) There wasn't a large crowd so the atmosphere was very relaxed. And the place is decorated with the chef's artwork (he's insanely talented)!

Absolutely great lunch deals. Set lunches come with miso soup, salad, corn chawanmushi, tempura and entree. Everything is delicious. Great value and high quality fish. The head chef/owner Jason is very talented and knowledgeable and is always happy to his knowledge with you about technique and any sushi/food questions. I literally go there every week

This spot has been a favorite of ours for a couple years now (we love to come for birthdays as they always make space to accommodate a bigger group of 12-14). The restaurant looks to be remodeled now with a modern style, so the ambiance has an upgraded feel. Happy to see them doing so well! Service is always great and food always fresh! I can never decide between a box and rolls...so why not both!

Wife and I decided to drive out to this location instead of Roseville even though we live in Rocklin because the service in Roseville is pretty hit or miss. Anyway, we showed up for lunch on a Saturday and the place was empty other than one other party. One server and one sushi chef so I assume thats the norm. Although pretty expensive, I would say it was worth it for the splurge. The lunch special is an awesome value. The Bara Chirashi Don is $40, but you get a significant amount of fish that is high quality....like a full sized poke bowl of sorts. Geso karaage was good, not over cooked and very tender. The only thing I wish was a little bit different was the rice to be seasoned just a touch more. A good sushi type of lunch when you don't want to go with individual nigiri. $100 after tip for 2 people but we left full and happy.

We used to come here at least twice a month. We came today for a small celebration. Food was good as always. But today while we are finishing our dinner something weird happened with the service. The staff was taking some dishes away and she spilled a sticky sauce all over my new phone, my favorite bag and over my hand. It left a sticky mess. It's sticky everywhere. I freak out and immediately tried to clean. The staff member who spill the sauce never acknowledged it nor apologized for it. She didn't bring napkins over so I can clean. My favorite bag is stained and has sauce in it and on it. Once we got out of the restaurant I had to throw it away cuz it's not salvageable anymore. I don't understand why she would treat me like this. We come here a lot and tip well. This was supposed to be a fun night out but I have a sticky phone and I don't have my favorite bag anymore. I'm truly devastated..

Delicious! Might be my new favorite Sacramento sushi spot. Lunch set with kaisendon was a bit redundant because I also got the chef selection 18 piece sashimi which was much better. My partner and I each got a lunch set. Salad was great and so were the croquette and corn chawanmushi. Galbi was a little fatty but still good. Soft shell crab was too much crunch. Miso soup was nice and had mini scallops except the first scallop was still cold inside (I guess it was freshly put in and not overcooked). Service was good and only two other tables present. Did not try bathroom Plenty of parking Will return for another lunch set

Don't remember the name. Salmon marinated in some kind of beats... It was so smooth and delicious.

Delicious! Thank you Jason. Great time at the sushi bar. Just ate what was recommended. Fresh. Flavorful. Perfect lunch.

The owner/master chef offered to pick a selection for me. It was 4 nigiri and 5 sashimi. Spectacular. Amber jack, salmon belly, ocean trout, red eye snapper (beautiful red color) and more. Definitely will return soon!

Recently renovated, Azayaka describes themselves as a Japanese fusion restaurant. Located in a strip mall, the interior belies the exterior with its subdued ambiance. Came here for dinner a couple of times, the first time I ordered the rainbow roll ($15) which is my barometer for sushi at restaurants. Decently sized, the fish was fresh and the roll was filling. Daughter ordered the ramen ($18) with the red option, which she enjoyed with the plethora of toppings. Dinner the second time, I got the teishoku set with salmon ($21). Two decently filets of salmon came with rice, miso soup, salad, deep fried egg roll and salad. You also get a choice of either croquette or chawanmushi. The chawanmushi was a highlight for me! I missed eating this savory custard when I used to live in Japan. Their version did not disappoint! This has spot has become a rotating staple for me and am looking forward to trying out more of their sushi rolls.

We went here as a pre holiday celebration. The food was really good. All four of us enjoyed everything we shared . The service was great I'd recommend going again!

    A5 wagyu sukiyaki
    Ann H.

Decided to dine in again as I was craving the wagyu sukiyaki. The service was very slow and our server did not check on our table as often as I needed. It was difficult to make eye contact to notify the servers that we needed assistance. For our appetizers, I loved the Geso and the Wagyu nigiri. The octopus was really tough and chewy. I will not order this in the future. Of course, I ordered the Wagyu sukiyaki with double the Wagyu. It tasted just as amazing as the other 2 prior visits. I also ordered the seafood sukiyaki and it was terrible. The broth needs a lot of improvement. It lacked flavor and had a really fishy taste to it. The shrimp did not taste fresh. I will omit this from my future visits. I still had a somewhat pleasant dinning experience as I enjoyed the majority of the food. I will surely dine in again for the wagyu sukiyaki.

    Yvette G.

My friend and I came here for lunch. I heard great things about their boxes. I ordered the Jubako box and my friend had the Wagyu Sukiyaki paper hot pot. Both items are pretty pricey, but I definitely feel like you get quality protein for the price. I don't typically order boxes so truthfully I don't have much experience to compare. The food was very good, and I'm glad I tried it.

How much is the omakase per person?

The omakase costs $123 per person before taxes and gratuity.

Is it wheelchair accessible and is service allows inside?

    Yes

I ordered the Chicken Katsu Set. It comes with chawanmushi, harumaki, miso soup, mixed greens, somen, and steamed rice. However I didn't get the chawanmushi, miso soup, or the somen. I did get edamame. Is the take out supposed to be different?

Is there still a tasting menu/omakase avail?

Last I went, 3 months ago, there was, but you have to call in advance to make a reservation. No walk-ins avail for omakase. Hope this helps.

Do they have any cooked rolls such as the Lion King?

I don't know what is in the lion king roll, but they have a roll with shrimp tempura, eel, avocado, green onion and sauce. It's all cooked. Most restaurant will make you something cooked upon request.

    Are you serving alcohol now?

I was there this week. They had sake and sparking plum wine.

    Do they serve alcohol?

We do! We are just waiting for the Alcohol License. The authority says we will be getting it in one week. Currently we have non-alcoholic beer.

Right when you walk in, everyone was friendly and welcoming. It was a busy Saturday evening, but we were seated pretty quickly. Our waitress was also so friendly, and our food came out FAST and piping hot! In our past experiences at other crab boil restaurants, it can take forever just to get a table, let alone get your food. So we really appreciated how quickly everything came out here! Now, THE FOOD! My hubby and I both got the Dungeness crab with the mild Cajun & garlic butter seasoning. It came with potatoes and corn, and we also added a side of rice and the Cajun fries. The seasoning was SO good! It had plenty of flavor without being overly salty. The crab was delicious and cooked perfectly. And those Cajun fries?! They were super crispy and seasoned to perfection! The only thing I would have changed was that we weren't given any crab crackers or tools to help us get into the crab. We actually thought they didn't have any at first. We later asked and were provided with some, but it would have been nice if they were offered or brought out with our gloves and bibs since we ordered crab. Other than that, I really enjoyed our experience! I especially loved that the restaurant has a more relaxed atmosphere compared to some other crab boil spots. The seats were comfortable, the music wasn't extremely loud, and it still had a fun vibe while being quiet enough for us to actually have a conversation. Overall, I'm giving Captain Crab a 10/10! We'll definitely be back!

We had dinner at Seafood House Quan Oc, and everyone definitely came hungry! Sokny and our daughter Skylie went with the seafood boil, and it was excellent! The seafood came with a delicious curry-style sauce that had so much flavor. Definitely one of the highlights of the meal! Our niece Maddie and youngest daughter Laila enjoyed the kids' chicken wings and fries, and Maddie also really liked the eggrolls. We shared an appetizer of crab cheese wontons, which were another hit. My mom had the garlic noodles, while I went with the fish fillet with rice and salad -- and it was all great! For drinks, Skylie had a Thai tea, while Sokny tried a Black Superman and a lemon drop. The lemon drop was unfortunately more lemonade than vodka, but hey... we still had a good laugh about it! Overall, the food was fantastic, but what made the night special was simply being together as a family. 10 years of marriage, lots of memories, and many more to come. Thank you to my beautiful wife for sharing this journey with me. I love you, Sokny!

After seeing a TikTok influencer recommend it and show what she ordered, it looked really good, so I finally decided to give it a shot. I had been craving something that was light, balanced, and packed with protein, and after reading the reviews, the All Everything Protein Bowl seemed like the perfect choice. I placed my order for pickup, and the first thing I noticed when I walked in was how clean the restaurant smelled. Surprisingly, there wasn't a strong seafood odor at all, which I actually appreciated. Service: picked up my food upon arrival and everything was ready. The All Everything Protein Bowl was fresh, light, and didn't have overpowering flavors. It came with chicken, fish, and shrimp, making it a well-balanced, protein-packed meal. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I ended up really enjoying it. The seafood tasted fresh and clean, and the ingredients worked well together without feeling too heavy. My only critique is that I wish it came with a little more sauce. Other than that, I had a great experience and will definitely be back to try some of their other menu items.

There's plenty of parking and after walking in; I was disappointed since there was no one willing to take orders in person so we were forced to navigate their kiosk menu ordering system. Their system is fairly simple to use, plenty of pictures to show you what each item potentially looks like. But if you're not use to ordering from a kiosk then it can be frustrating. We finally got our order placed and sat until our food was ready (call by name). When our food was ready, everything was there except my salad (only thing they didn't have to cook, LOL). Food was prepared well and plated nicely. I was surprised that my wife ordered her fish fried and not grilled but the fish portion was huge, but she seemed very happy with her food & her sides: brussel sprout and sweet potato fries. My two fish tacos was pretty good the ends of each portion was mostly batter which gave you that crunch sound on the first bite but the tacos was missing something maybe some salsa/hot sauce or a crema. My side: street corn and Caesar salad. Their street corn was on point so I added it to my tacos which gave it more flavor. The salad was nice and refreshing. I did also order their clam chowder which was creamy but after several spoonfuls, the taste of butter was prominent; so I never finish the soup. BONUS: they serve Stubborn soda, so if you never had it then it's worth just stopping in for that alone! Overall, nice visit.

Diners tip: They offer happy hour up until 6 PM during the week. I met a friend for a light bite, and I was pleasantly surprised by most of the experience. Service is incredibly slow and it appears that they literally only have two people working in the entire restaurant doing everything. The vibe is super comfy with comfortable seating and there is music playing. It does become increasingly more difficult to enjoy table conversation because the music was louder than it probably needed to be. We were there right before happy hour ended, so we ended up ordering the shrimp cocktail and shrimp tacos. The shrimp cocktail was really disappointing. It was way too watery, and lacked flavor. Even the shrimps tasted like they had been frozen, defrosted, and then thrown into this tomato water. It tasted like they threw in a little Tabasco for the spice and that was about that. The, mini pieces of toast were also underwhelming, and had this been a better dish. I would've preferred it served with tortilla chips, I absolutely would not order this again. The shrimp tacos were really tasty. The flavor of the shrimp, and the freshness of the salsa and avocado made for a good bite. The tortilla itself was cold and I don't know why they did not heat it, or pan seared or something. We originally had asked the server to split the check and rather than ask us how we wanted it split, he put one appetizer on one check and one on the other. The problem is is that one was twice as much as the other, and the intention was for us just to give him our credit cards and have him split the total between the two of us and he couldn't seem to figure that out. In spite of the shrimp cocktail experience, I definitely would come back here just to try some of the entrées. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and I think it would be a fun date spot, and definitely. It's a fun place to hang out with friends. Just keep in mind Service is super slow so if you're in a hurry to go to the theater or you have other plans, this may not be the most ideal dining situation under those circumstances
