The last time I went to this auditorium was 35 years ago when my older Cousin Amy performed at a…read moredance recital and here I was last night all those years later and little has changed , it's a quaint theater and quite frankly reminds me of the old movie theaters. The air was heavy as in no air flow quality at all, so if the audience was warm can you imagine what the girls dancing their hearts out must've felt like. I've said this previously about older theaters ...if you want flashy go to Los Angeles, Ojai at heart is a small town that wishes to preserve the history and I for one commend them for that, which is rare because Ojai & I rarely agree on anything. Parking was a nightmare though, I ended up parking 3 blocks away, the show was from 7-10 and by the time I left there was little to know lighting on the sidewalks to make my way back. Thanks to my trusted iPhone flashlight I made it to my car. Most of all I was just so happy to see my Baby cousin perform, it was a fun night.

Of course people in Ojai are pushy and stareat you if they do not know you, so just have to pretend they do not exist. They over sold the venue so they were putting up chairs in the front row, as the muscians were playing?? Just so "special" people who came late didn't have to stand. Ummm someone is playing on the stage? Ojai people live in a world of high drama. Snack truck was out front, pleanty of restrooms. Just get there early for good seats (and parking) and please don't sit in the specially marked seats.

This is one of the few times I've gone to a smaller venue especially with such a wide dance floor. For the price, it's totally worth it to go if you can make the trip as you can end up real close to the stage if you want or move around depending on the people present. Otherwise, there's a section of seated tables you can pay more to sit at and enjoy the event in comfort. It was definitely a venue for local artists to perform at, not like the theatre venues in LA. One of the fans actually managed to get the artist to sign their merch after the concert was over!! While, I didn't partake in the alcohol/food vendors there. The staff there were relatively professional about it and prices are generally what you'd expect. There is parking in the back of the venue, but since I had arrived past sundown it was pretty hard to see the entrance on the first go around. Otherwise, I would recommend you park in the residential blocks as it wasn't a tough time walking to the venue. While unclear at the time, the venue security said no outside bottles/drinks before you enter the venue.

It is a great intimate venue with lots of history and great sound. We parked about a half mile away and a public lot by the West Hollywood library, parking was only 12 bucks and it was a nice short walk to the venue and no traffic getting g out when we left the show. The event was sold out, and we got there right when doors opened. The line out front was not too long and security kept everybody moving really quick. Full bar and food inside. The main room is tiny, so anywhere you stand you will have a great view of the performers. I definitely plan to come back to see another show here, wish I had caught shows here in the past... Great venue.

Especially since BTS had their first American performance at this venue years ago o was a fan girl just being here. It looks like they have a valet parking stand and there is some street parking out front. I was next door and I needed to find an atm for cash and they have an atm inside of troubadour and since their event was over, they were kind enough to let me in to use their atm.

This used to be my spot! If you like live music, be sure to check out their blues night. Get there EARLY! Camp out at the bar and save your seat because it's about to be standing room only. You can reserve a table in advance. If you miss a live music night, just purchase some points for the jukebox. Smoking section outside, no food, but feel free to bring your own. There's pizza, sushi, and sandwiches in the same plaza, so you're set! A staple of the valley! If you go, order a Dark and Stormy for me!

Spent Super Bowl Sunday at Sugar Mill, and it was the very best decision I've made in a long time…read more This place is most definitely "the little bar that could," with a great staff, fun and funny patrons, and an atmosphere that allows for both staunch fans and casual observers. Most people contribute to a pot luck feast that spans the wide world of food, from hot dogs and chili to baked ziti, tacos, meatballs, fried chicken, Chinese food, and on and on -- including some amazing homemade clam chowder from Mike The Mailman. Bartender Natalie did an amazing job of handling the busy crowd with speed and smiles. There were a couple of other staffers on site to watch the game, and they jumped in when she needed a hand with this or that, but for the most part Natalie captained the bar single-handedly for the duration. Kudos to her. It's true, Super Bowl only comes once a year, so other game days don't have the pot luck feast -- Sugar Mill doesn't have a kitchen, though they're happy to have you bring in whatever food you like and eat it there. Food aside, the crowd and the service are always just what you want, making it the perfect place to relax into at game time as Basketball enters the home stretch and baseball steps up to bat.
