Very good noodles and also boba drinks in a cozy authentic locale. Service also prompt and diligent. Got a noodle dish with egg noodles and it was great. Ordered the egg rolls which were very good and a vanilla milk tea drink with boba but didn't like the taste so the staff was nice enough to swap it out for a banana flavored one free of charge (which tasted much better). It was absolutely delightful! Everything we had here was delicious, and absolutely comparable to the fare we are used to. I was given a summer roll with fried tofu, and it was an absolute revelation with the flavorful peanut sauce. My DH and I ordered the combo vermicelli bowls, and every bite was delectable. I also had the Taro Boba tea with jellies, and it was a satisfying counterpoint to my meal. I called to make an order to go. I ordered a rice platter with grilled chicken and steamed rice and 1 order of spring rolls. I get in my car and review my order which has egg rolls. I now get to try a lot more places on the side of town I rarely visited thanks to my new job. Even with an hour for lunch, the traffic on NW Expressway still prohibits some travel. That said, Pho Ever is within the driving distance. I had never really heard much feedback about this place, but thought it time to give it a try. It was perfect weather for ph today as it was 52° when I went to lunch. And just a little bit rainy. The service was what you would expect. I won't delve into that. It's a typical ph restaurant. The broth is why you should go to ph restaurants. Was it amazing like the best place down on 23rd & Francis? No. edible. Yes. Will I return? Yes. The meats were a little fattier than I traditionally have, but it wasn't horrible. The set up is very clean. Americanized, for sure. I ordered the LP5. I'll try some of the other Vietnamese items. There is also a "Chinese" lunch menu on the back side for those people who don't eat ph. I don't know you wouldn't. But that's just me. Pho Ever gets 4 stars and a repeat customer. One of my Vietnamese friends has this rule: If a Vietnamese restaurant name uses the word "Pho" as a pun (e.g. Pho-bulous, What the Pho, Un-Pho-gettable, Pho-My, Pho-Nomenal, Pho-Really, Pho-Sho, Pho-King Delicious; I could keep going), you should not patronize that restaurant. According to him, these restaurants are pandering to non-Vietnamese people (his nice way of sayin', "white folk") and therefore the food isn't authentic. I broke that rule recently. Sorry Vietnamese friend who isn't on Yelp, and won't see this apology so it really doesn't matter. I should point out that the only thing I've purchased from Pho' Ever is a drink so that excuses me on the above infraction. Sort of. The Thai tea looks watered down, but doesn't taste like it; tastes pretty dandy actually. I don't know how they managed to pull that off. Also, they don't use the sealed plastic lids, but snap-on lids. This is problematic if you tilt your drink too far while driving and then it ends up all over your clothes. Not that it happened to me, but it could happen to you so I figured I'd help you out. $4.00 (tip included) for a drink. Not the best, not the worst. It was kinda smallish (I'm comparing to Tao Cafe), but it tasted decent enough that I can't complain (too much) I guess. The girl at the front is nice. And cute. So yay for that. I'll be back. FYI: I have nothing to compare it to as this was my first Vietnamese experience. That being said, I have eaten food before and this was great food. Vietnamese food texture is different than I'm used to and I welcome the unfamiliarity. I got take-out and brought it home. I ordered the COMBINATION RICE PLATTER so I could sample a few different things and chose fried rice instead of steamed. The pork, beef, and shrimp were AMAZING. Cooked and seasoned perfectly. The fried rice was plain with very few bits of egg, but had a good flavor. The Pho was TASTY! I got combination on that as well: well-done brisket, tripe, tendons, and meatballs. I didn't realize you make it up yourself and that was cool. I added everything they sent with it except the jalapeños. The hot sauce gave it enough spice for us. I liked everything except the tripe but left it in to flavor the soup while I ate. I had enough left over to have a bit later. I will definitely be going back to Pho Ever. Also, I showed up 30 minutes before they opened and was treated very well. They took my order without mentioning the time. The staff were friendly and I saw someone bringing fresh veggies in for the day's cooking. read more

First of all, it's notably cheaper than the other pho places in OKC. They've also got a great dinner combo, which is extremely affordable for what you get. It came with a small sampler that had 4 appetizers and soup. As a strange curveball from out of nowhere, the Chinese-style hot & sour soup was literally the best I've ever had. Basically every other time I've had hot & sour soup (hundreds of times), it's been almost exactly the same, but something was different about this, and it was ridiculously good. This is all in addition to your choice of entree and fried/steamed rice. All this for under $10 is a steal in my book. We found the food good but the service lacking. My vermicelli bowl with roast pork was perfect in every way, and my partner's pho looked outstanding. That said, it's hard to get your glass refilled when the teenybopper servers won't get off their damned cell phones long enough to pay attention to the folks who provide their incomes. We'll give this place another try in a month or two and re-evaluate it here on Yelp. I hope that the owners see this review and "hop to it" to make the necessary changes. I believe a one star rating is quite generous for Pho Ever considering they deserve a less than or equal to zero star rating. Pho Ever is an example of a restaurant and business that should not be operating. They don't care about the quality of food or delivering decent customer service. Our servers were young, my guess is no older than 16-18 years old age. The restaurant was empty and the servers spent a lot of time on their phone and laughing and joking. We didn't ask for much. Just a refill of our drinks, once. What I won't forget is halfway through my bowl of pho noodles, I saw something round, elastic, and the color the same as the noodles that it blended it, only it was round and swishy! My first thought was, "Is this a fudging worm in my food?!" I immediately gagged! I showed my mom who also stopped eating and examined her food. We examined it closely to realize it was a rubber-band! That's disgusting! What would a rubber-band be doing in my food and what was it used to hold?! Cash?! Dirty herbs?! Someone's hair?! UGH. Nasty! I called over the server to show her, and she laughed and walked away! I kid you not. Ironically, I received an important phone call at the same time and I had to take the call. When I got off the phone and came back to my seat, I found out my mom had already paid for both of our meals. To be honest, I would not have paid for that kind of food or that type of service. Omg. I go way out of my way to come eat here. The broth is so fresh and the veggie bowls have the most amount of veggies EVERRR! They even have baby bok choy in them. Four of us split the shrimp rolls, egg rolls, Kung pao chicken, beef with snow peas, orange chicken along with an entree of mixed veggies. I love to order a big side of veggies since you'll never get enough veg if you don't. Everything was excellent, but the standouts for me were the veggies and the orange chicken. I also especially loved the sauce that came with the shrimp rolls. The fried rice left a bit to be desired; not flavorful enough to be worth the calories. I definitely think it's a takeout joint and not a go-out-and-eat place; not a date atmosphere, for sure. A friend of mine kept telling me to try this restaurant, so I went tonight. The interior was clean and very spacious. I ordered a small of the combination pho. I order this at any pho restaurant so I have something to compare my experiences with. In my opinion the pho came out way too fast. I ordered and it was in front of me in 2.5 minutes. There was not much meat in the bowl which was a little disappointing. Usually pho restaurants give patrons a decent amount of basil, but I just got a couple meager strands. My sister and I stopped in on our lunch hour last week. We were sat down at a table by the guy at the door, and then went ungreeted and unacknowledged for 10 minutes. There were two girls working the 7ish tables in there. When I asked one who was our server, she just motioned towards the other girl and walked off.
