I was hesitant to try this place because of the location but I was really craving ramen and didn't want to drive to Afuri. OK Noodle did not disappoint! The noodles were fat and beautiful, the broth was flavorful and portions were bountiful. The inside is nothing special but I don't need fancy decor just good food will do. And service was quick. I've been driving by this place for years, and have never stopped in. It's a rough neighborhood, and honestly I just assumed it was a greasy spoon. However, while looking into ramen options, this popped up. So I decided to give it a shot. I was by myself on a Wednesday evening, and had the Tonkatsu ramen. The broth was great. nice milky color, and deep flavor and had some substance. It had an egg and some pork, and was quite substantial. Inside the restaurant, they've done what they can to decorate well. It's a bit more modern than you might expect for the neighborhood. Service was really friendly, and I didn't wait too long for my ramen. Price was reasonable ($14.95, plus a modest tip). I'll definitely stop by again. read more

Great food, fast service, friendly. Restaurant always clean, orders have always been 100% correct and 100% quality. It might do better business in a better location(?) I wish they had better online ordering app, and discounts on larger orders (or at least a loyalty program) to keep me coming back. I moved away too far and was near area again last week and it looked closed down. :-( read more

OK ok, not ok bad. This place could be so much better though. Somewhat sterile feel inside ~ few tables that are overly spaced out, off white tile flooring & off white walls makes a newly painted apartment rental feel. Yelp categorize OK as a lounge which it is not. Food ok ~ with no one else in the restaurant the bloated noodles were disappointed. Stirfry noodles the same. Potstickers had a good chew. Very good food! I started with the cucumber salad and the flavor was very full. So many different things with the perfect dressing. I also ordered the Shoyu Ramen. Excellent! Stopped in for a quick bite to eat since we were in Portland. Found this place on Yelp and chose to come try it because it has great reviews. Customer service was great! The gentleman and the chef in the back were friendly. Place was nice and clean. The cucumber salad was sooo good! Best I've had from any other place before. Lots of flavor and the cilantro in it makes it tastes really light and refreshing. The crawfish fried noodles and the fried rice were good. They both pretty much had the same flavor/sauce. Big portions for a decent price. The spicy beef ramen was good. It was full of flavor but it wasn't spicy at all. Stop in and support this mom and pop shop! read more

The beef pho was very tasty! The fried noodles were very good but I didn't see or taste any cilantro or green onions we got an order of beef and one chicken. but was very good! Everything about this place is precious and must be protected! Two adults and two young kids popped in for dinner. We loaded up on spring rolls for starters (the youngest turned the double order into her dinner). Crispy, not soggy, did everything they needed to do. Also, they brought out some edamame on the house - which was a fun and lovely touch. Adults got the Vegetable Ramen and the Spicy Beef Ramen. HUGE portions. If you're sharing appetizers with another person, y'all can probably also share the ramen. Both bowls were delightful, full of flavor, and extremely comforting. The kiddo who eats more variety than just spring rolls helped herself to the Vegetable Fried Noodle dish... Which was really tasty! Also, a massive portion. The noodles are made fresh in house, the prices are reasonable, and the service is attentive and gracious. We stopped here for takeout after a long day at the park with our two young kids. The menu didn't have too many options but what we tried was good. We had the popcorn chicken which was the best option from our order in my opinion. We also had the chicken fried noodles and veggie fried rice. The noodles were on the salty side but cooked to perfection and had good flavor. The rice was a typical fried rice which isn't a bad thing. Service was quick and friendly. read more

I love this place- I am new to the neighborhood and I've been happy to find this friendly and welcoming spot near my home. The food is delicious and the staff was happy to make a non-spicy version of the spicy beef soup for my niece. They have a lot of good noodle dishes and lots of sides and snacks to choose from. My favorite main dish is the pork tonkatsu ramen bowl, and I love the fried sweet potato side as well as the pork buns. They even have a couple desserts on the menu. This is a nice place to bring family, including kids- it's warm and bright. Last time we were there the tv set was playing nature videos with birds. There's seating at the bar and long, wide tables for groups. I love seeing more people come in when I'm here because Ok Noodle deserves local appreciation!! read more

This place is the tits. And I agree with another Yelper, they must be protected at all costs!!! They're a local restaurant to us so we're familiar with the neighborhood but it's definitely not in the best area. The food, the atmosphere, the friendliness of the employees compensates for all of that. Every time I've come in, it appears to be a man and a woman (husband wife duo?) working. No one else-- so family owned. Always so kind and never have to wait for a pickup order. I've peeked at their open-concept kitchen and those noodles are house made fresh. I HIGHLY recommend the spring rolls (crispiest I've ever had, even takeout wise), my partner loves the Beef Noodles, and I'll ride at dawn to fight for the Tonkotsu Ramen. That broth is unbeatable for a takeout spot. Forget spending oodles of cash in Portland proper for bougie ramen. If you're close by, HIT THIS PLACE UP!!!! read more

I cannot recommend this place enough. All noodles are handmade and the texture and flavor is amazing. We tried the takoyaki, calamari, miso ramen, and crayfish fried noodles. We've been here before and they gave us free edamame and we tried the beef fried noodles which were fantastic! All were delicious and a very fair price. The restaurant is very clean and well kept. Wow! That was an incredible meal. I found OK Noodle searching nearby restaurants. I moved here from Atlanta 4 years ago and have been looking for great places to eat. I am 64 years old and appreciate fresh ingredients when eating out. I had the calamari appetizer and Crayfish noodles. The calamari was outstanding. Large tentacle sections cooked to perfection with a tasty home made dip. I have eaten loads of calamari and this was the best. They were cooked "Al dente" so there was just a tad of chew to each bite. Phenomenal!! My crayfish noodle plate was huge. Wonderful balance of fresh noodles to vegetables. There were so many of the tender tails that every bite contained some. He said only open for 5 months. There was nobody else dining in at 7:30 Friday night. To top it off, they are open until midnight. I love a late night feast and I found my go to restaurant. read more

The food is SO GOOD. The noodles are hand made and amazing. Seriously, everything is so yummy. We went there for a birthday party and there were like 10 of us or something, and the service was also so good. There were dietary restrictions at the table and they made sure to accommodate that as well. When we ordered take out the food was still hot and still so delicious. There was the expected long wait due to Father's Day, but no worries. Family time was spent in the lounge. I was remembering my dad, as he always had the Fried Chicken and Chicken Gizzards. Both were incredible. My vegetarian wife had the hamburger patty, (now an Impossible Burger versus the Garden Burger). Our daughter opted for the Sirloin Steak as she wanted flavor which the Filet does not allow, but not the fat that my favorite, the Rib Eye offers. It was so good. MY Father-in-law and Mother-in-law, both had the Prime Rib. Hers was a bit rare, but he just switched and all was good. Estrella was simply perfect, and one I would ask for again. I will be back again, and again, and again.

The homemade noodle sign caught my eyes. My husband and I went there for lunch today. The restaurant and the open kitchen looks very clean. The server and the cook are super friendly. We ordered their takoyaki and spicy beef ramen. The food is absolutely delicious! They close from 3-5pm but open til midnight. It's good to know that we can get some good ramen late at night.
