Local Benihana type Japanese teppanyaki restaurant without the wait and affordable. If you never been to this type of restaurant its fun pretty much dinner and a show at your table. We ordered the special which comes with shrimp, chicken and steak. Salad, soup, rice, vegetables and noodles come with that. We upgraded to fried rice for a small charge. To start we tried the Japanese egg rolls which were ok. In hindsight they give you a lot of food so an appetizer is not needed. The main course was great. All the proteins were flavorful and the sides were filling. They have quite a few tables inside and the vibe was fun.

We were very excited to try this restaurant and also very glad we did! From the warm reception we received when we entered to the delicious food and presentation, it was very well worth the experience. The service continued to be exceptional throughout the entire meal and the wonderful teppanyaki chef's skills were simply amazing! It was a very satisfying and enjoyable meal and the prices were great. We ordered beef, shrimp, and chicken including rice, noodles, and vegetables for only $67 for two people. The restaurant is located a nice strip mall close to shopping and other food establishments. Delicious food and service .. it's a must try!

Place is clean and fairly new .

First time here . Place is newly opened. Lots of hibachi table to share dinner with family and friends. Service was great, mindful of empty plates in eating area. Which is needed for table that has limited space like this.

My family and I came here for dinner and had the pleasure of having chef Mike. It was my cousins bday but he was interactive and mindful of the kids instead it was great. Food is good just make sure you ask for him as a chef if possible.

Good prices, good service. I liked how they kept the silly jokes to one minute only and no weird singing by the chef like at other Tepanyaki places. Portions were smaller but that was fine with me because I was still full. Final bill was about 30% less than the same order at Benihana. Only small problem was my coke was half flat.

Came here with my guy's family and it was such a fun show! Our chef was funny and gave such a great performance! Service was top notch for sure! Everyone (kids, parents, adults, etc) at my table was smiling, laughing, and enjoying their time. I got the chicken and shrimp with fried rice. My fried rice was good but had a very strong garlic flavor that was nearly too much. I really liked the veggies, noodles, and my chicken, but my shrimp tasted like chicken due to the order of it being cooked. My guy got the steak, and it was cooked a perfect medium rare as requested! I've only had hibachi at Benihana before and this was soo much better. On the pricier side for the amount you get, but it does include a show. I hope they work on improving the flavors a bit so that everything doesn't taste similarly to one another.

my first hibachi experience and it was excellent! perfect way to celebrate any occasion with a bigger group of people. as soon as we entered the place, we were greeted and seated at our table that was reserved beforehand. every single person working was friendly and warm, including the chefs of course. the food was delicious and the portions were generous! I heard that this place is similar to Benihana in many ways, but I would rather support a small local business, so I would definitely come back here if I am craving some hibachi.

Food, Service, Ambiance, Customer service & attentiveness all 5 stars! ( Long review coming up) Made a reservation for my husbands birthday and from start to end they treated us with great attention and were very kind. Every single person that joined us enjoyed the food and the show. Chef Mike & waitress Raenah were amazing. We want to come back to have more delicious food. We were laughing the whole time ans had a great time with Chef Mike. Raenah and the other employees made sure we had refills before we noticed and were so attentive. The food was delicious, everything was cooked perfectly and to our liking. I wish them much success and I think they will gain a lot of long term happy clients with how they are running the restaurant. They forsure got a long term client in us!

Located in the Eastlake/Otay area near Walmart. Nice little place. They cook the food right in front of you giving a show. Place was clean. Got there when it opened and the place filled up pretty quickly. The service was great. The prices are good, not overpriced compared to similar Japanese restaurants. To top it off, the food was very good. The chef at our table accommodated some of our food requests without question. I would definitely come back. I wish I took better photos to show others the place.

10/10 experience. It was my first time at a Hibachi type restaurant. There wasn't a lot of people when I went so I was seated right away. Servers were amazing, cook was amazing, funny and entertaining. There isn't a negative thing to say about the food. Everything was amazing and well priced. The vibe in the restaurant was very relaxed and their playlist was amazing. Definitely come here, it's worth it!

First of all, I am very excited about this new spot in Chula Vista. Parking is not a problem. When we walked in, we were immediately met with hospitality despite my party not entirely present. The interior was clean and very intimate. As we sat, you almost feel like you were preparing for an upcoming show. The chef arrived and I was already at the edge of my seat with excitement. now I've been to many Teppanyaki restaurants in my time so my mind was already expecting the basic tricks in their performance. Boy was I in for a surprise. I don't want to spoil your experience, but our chef was very interactive and entertaining. The food was very delicious. I am craving the fried rice as I type this review. Go support this restaurant. It will be a great date night or family outing. Also, dont forget to tip your chef! Cheers

Took the family here for dinner on a busy Saturday night. They just soft-opened, so they are still figuring some things out. Ordered the Filet and Shrimp, which were delicious. The owners (who are super kind) used to own the nearby Okama, where they served the Hibachi steak but didn't cook it in front of you. Prices are a little high for the area, but they have a children's menu for 12 and under. Ambiance is simple, but well lit and well ventilated. We love having a new Teppanyaki place nearby! Definitely recommended!

Our favorite server, Nathan, is a lead now. We were seated in Matt's area and he was our server. Nathan came by to say hi and greet us, this is excellent customer service here. Matt was also great and customer service oriented and he took our order for table apps and drinks. The ambiance here is fun, family friendly, cool, and good vibes all around. They have a DJ some Saturdays. There are also very cool theme nights. Tonight was "Wing Wednesday". I posted a photo of the theme nights. A server who happened to be walking by finally took our drink order and brought us menus. She recommended the carne asada fries, so we ordered those along with chips, salsa, guacamole, a Coke, and a Long Island Iced Tea. Even though it wasn't busy, it took about 15 minutes to get our drinks. The guacamole was the star of the meal--fresh, flavorful, and honestly some of the best I've had. It was absolutely delicious! The carne asada fries, however, were a huge disappointment. For $24.99, there was barely any carne asada on them. They were mostly French fries with cheese, guacamole, pico de gallo, cilantro, and sour cream, with very little meat. They also lacked flavor and definitely weren't worth the price. The fresh guacamole saved the meal, but the slow service, being ignored at the bar, and the overpriced carne asada fries made for a disappointing experience

I pay close attention to food quality, service, value, and the overall customer experience. When a restaurant delivers something exceptional, however, I believe it deserves to be recognized. We recently visited Black Angus and had one of the best overall dining experiences we have had in a long time. Jessica, who I believe was the assistant or shift manager, greeted us with such an upbeat and welcoming personality that she had us laughing within the first 30 seconds. That immediately set the tone for the evening. While we waited, we sat at the bar. The bartenders were friendly, genuine, and engaging, the drinks were an excellent value, and the entire atmosphere felt relaxed and positive. Our server, Veronica S., was fantastic. She was warm, personable, helpful, and genuinely fun to talk with. She personalized her recommendations based on her own experience, made the menu easy to navigate, and encouraged us to try a few things outside our normal choices. Every recommendation was excellent. We ordered appetizers, cocktails, sides, and steaks. Every course exceeded expectations. Both steaks were cooked perfectly to the requested temperatures, the portions were generous, and the quality and presentation were excellent. What stood out most was the consistency of the entire experience. From Jessica, to the bartenders, to Veronica, to our conversation with General Manager Ashley, every interaction felt friendly, organized, and sincere. I regularly spend considerably more at other restaurants and receive far less in service and overall value. This evening was the complete opposite. The team created an experience that felt polished without being formal and personal without feeling forced. Veronica made the evening especially memorable, and we would gladly return during one of her shifts. I would not change a thing. Black Angus absolutely earned this review, and we will be back.
