If you're going to name your place a tap house, you might want to consider having beer on tap and not tell customers you're mainly a restaurant. I was at OKC tap house last night with another couple and we had drinks at the bar. Tommy W was our bartender. The drinks were served and things were pleasant. Then when I asked to for our bill. Tommy decided to add the drinks of the other couples we met. A total of $105.03 for 7 drinks. Instead of asking Tommy to split the bill correctly the other couple said they would Venmo their portion to me. So I added a $15 tip and we left to get our uber. When we divided the bill. The actual drinks only came to $64. After tax a total of $78.16. Somehow Tommy added another $26.87 to our bill. I feel like we were robbed. This is supposed to be an upscale establishment. We said we were still waiting for our drinks and order to be taken and she said, "all I do is a table check" and walked off. I was denied service at the bar along with another Black man and told to leave without explanation. When I asked if it was because we were Black, security was called and tried to escort me out. After I went to the lobby, staff followed me and continued arguing, then called the police. I was handcuffed and placed in a patrol car, but released once they verified my identity. I was in town for the NBA Finals and ended up in many establishments over the course of four days. OKC Tap House ended up being my go-to all weekend. The food is solid (potato skins, chili, and the BBQ were ordered multiple times). It's a great sports bar with TV's everywhere and a wonderful outdoor patio. More importantly, it's always about the people. The bartenders and servers are friendly and attentive. I came to OKC Tap House through a partnership/collaboration with Omni Hotels and this restaurant was one out of the several restaurants that I could enjoy some drinks and food at. I chose to come here on a Saturday night with my husband, brother, and a friend during the Bedlam game. The entertainment was amazing with the big screen tv, an amazing view from our table to watch the football game, and skii ball machines (don't have to pay) right next to us, but the service was not so great. My family was doing the autism walk about a week ago and I had some issues walking so I decided to come here and watch from above and have some nachos outside. Service was exceptional and wish I could remember the name of my waitress, she was African-American, and so sweet and kind and attentive to me. I was by myself in a corner and she refilled my water like three times and kept making making sure if I needed anything readily available for me. I'm an honest reviewer and this was a difficult rating for me to decide on because I want to be fair and While I do appreciate the customer service we got and delicious food provided by the restaurant, I feel extremely frustrated and concerned about the lack of consideration for children's safety. The reason behind my 1 star for now is that this restaurant is advertised as kid-friendly considering the fact they have kid menus and high chairs. The tables are not accommodating for the high chairs. As you can see from the picture I posted, it is unacceptable. I saw a couple across the way have to put their baby boy in 3 HIGHS-CHAIRS STACKED to get a him to be able to sit at the table height. I urge the restaurant to take immediate action to rectify this issue. They can either order higher high chairs or invest in family-sized low tables to ensure that all children can dine comfortably and securely. read more

My husband and I dined here last night, as we have wanted to try this place for a while. We were seated very quick and was happy with the location. It took 10 minutes for the server to come and get our drink order, which was just soda and tea. We decided on the chip and queso trio. The chips were stale, but we chaljed it up to the server dealing with a private party. Once our main dishes were servered, they looked okay, the salmon was overdone, but was ediable. I walked to the bar to get a refill on my tea after being told by 3 seperate servers that they would be back by to refill my drink. The worst is that I have woken up this morning with food posioning and have been violently ill all morning. Review #85 Location: OKC Tap House, formerly named 405 Tap House (for the OKC Area Code 405), is located in the Omni Hotel, off OKC Blvd & S Robinson Ave, on the 1st floor to the front of the hotel by Scissortail Park. Atmosphere: Music isn't loud, but some of the patrons playing bar games inside are way over the top on loudness when they score points. The kind of "I want attention" loudness that shrills in your ears & hurts so bad it gives you a migraine. Have fun, but not the kind that makes you so loud you irritate others who are trying to talk & can't hear over your loud yells or throwing & slamming the game pieces, that makes everyone look over to see what the hay you're doing. On the 1st floor of the main seating area, there are Large screen TV's playing sports of course. There are 7 large TV's on the main wall, with an 8th, super sized big screen centered at the top. The other side of the bar has 2 TV screens. The 2nd floor has additional seating and another bar. On Friday nights they have live music. Drinks: Beer, of course, it's a tap house; wine, cocktails, mocktails. I got the Hula Hoops, (hoops for props to our OKC Thunder Basketball Team), as the Chesapeake Arena is next door and home to the Thunder. (I miss KD, Kevin Durant, who helped put the Thunder on the map). The Hoops is made with spiced rum, hibiscus, lime, orange liqueur, strawberries, adorned with a pink flower and strawberries.
