Lots to choose from on menu. Return visit today on a Sunday. Went on the Yelp wait list, so it was only about 15 minutes. Ordered the meatloaf with mashed potatoes n gravy. Side was grilled squash n zucchini. Very good. Others had the bbq burger that was very good. Also the chicken fry but guessing it was the gravy that had way too much pepper. Oh, and we had the starter combo. It has fried pickles strips, Mozzarella cheese sticks, and fried Deviled eggs. We eat Deviled eggs everywhere we go but these not to our liking. Not a bad place for a family night. We tried a little bit of everything and were pleasantly surprised how good everything was. The steaks were spot on. The side dishes were pretty delicious. I enjoyed the steamed vegetables because it has great seasonings. The only thing I don't like about here is the wait is horrible. We came in a Friday night and naturally it is very busy but we were one the last to leave. We couldn't find our waitress and everyone we asked said they would go find her. It's not an ideal place for a quick bite but if you have time then this is the spot to try. They have an outdoor seating and very nice for big groups and families/friends. We went to see the Yukon Christmas lights then decided to grab dinner in town. Super cute and lively restaurant though we sat in the back room where there's no action. Oh well. Service was friendly from hostess to server. As for food, hubs got the salmon with lemon sauce. He enjoyed it but stated it need much more of the sauce. I really enjoyed the salad and my son gobbled up the kids cheeseburger. The worst was the cheesecake. Our server was very nice and we were greeted as soon as we sat down. It wasn't too busy and they had the TVs behind the bar on. I just wanted to drop by and say nothing has changed about the Lokal since my last visit and review. Tonight I had the special, which was the honey butter chicken and waffles. The chicken was amazing. Crispy, juicy, and full of flavor. You can tell it was made with love and was delicious. The waffles were tasty and paired nicely to complement sweetness with the saltiness of the chicken. The honey butter was subtle and not overpowering. Bonus points for the fruit being fresh as well. I would have to say this was one of the best chicken and waffle dishes I have ever had in my life. Even better, it was only $14, and was more than enough food. The service was great, our guests who joined us loved our suggestion, and everyone was impressed. If you ever roll through Yukon, give this quaint little local joint a shot. You will be glad you did. Spouse had the bison meatloaf with fried okra - both done right. I had the 1/2 Lokal Salad - perfect ratio of salad to add-ins (crispy chicken, pecan halves, blueberries, strawberries and cheese). We will definitely go there again when in Yukon. Would have loved to get one of their t-shirts but their merch store next to the restaurant didn't open until 11 am - we were on the road way before then. read more

I think it speaks volumes about the restaurants quality when there is a line out the door to just get a place on the waitlist. We had placed a reservation through Yelp and that was the move because we were sat immediately. Our server was amazing!! She got us whatever we needed and quickly. Smiles all around. The food was just spectacular, they said the Mac and cheese was made fresh from a rue every time it is ordered, and it turned out to be delicious. Ribeye was perfectly cooked as well. Lokal came highly recommended from friends - and it lived up to its reputation! We started out with a flight if four local brews (orange, mango, pineapple and blood orange flavors) - and the Coop Blood orange Hirny Toad won. Since we were sampling, we went with the Sampler all-fried appetizer - with fried eggs, pickle fries and cheese. I dug the fried deviled eggs, but my wife proffered the fried pickle fries. For dinner, I went with the jalapeño pepper Jack burger and it not only brought tears to my eyes but quickly cleared out my sinuses. Still tasting the jakepenos on My tongue an hour later. The food here is exceptional as is the service. All the staff were very helpful and friendly while our waiter Luke was attentive to all our needs including my orders for the Guinness on tap. I couldn't believe they had it right in the middle of Oklahoman! But they have a dozen different beers on tap including Guinness. It tastes just like it does in Ireland. The pork chop was so tender and juicy with a BBQ sauce that is one of the best I've ever had. My wife had the salmon and lemon butter sauce. Excellent!! We sat in the main room with an active bar and sports TVs but it was very quiet and enjoyable for us. You could easily talk while enjoying the games and activities at the bar. As we were finishing our dinner I looked around and the whole room was full, with people waiting for a table. Despite that level of occupancy it was a quiet pleasant atmosphere. We love the Lokal! We went here for the first time with friends and we've gone back a few more times. It's a bit on the pricier side and with three kids, a meal can get pretty expensive. The service is always great and the restaurant is clean. The restaurant does get busy quickly so make sure to include wait time and don't show up starving.
