Upper Pass is a very nice ski lodge with a nice Vermont feel. The room was spacious and clean and in addition to the main bedroom there was a smaller bedroom with bunk beds and a sink. The decor was nice without being overbearing. Plenty of room, good TV, a desk and couple of comfortable beds. The bathroom was fine with a good shower. There was a small coffee maker in the room and they also stocked the room with some breakfast bars. The rooms do not have a refrigerator or microwave. In the lobby of the lodge is the Red Slate restaurant and bar which are not open on Monday or Tuesday. There is also a nice living room with a fireplace, couches and lots of games. Upper Pass Lodge is an excellent option if you are looking to stay in the Londonderry area. The lodge is welcoming and friendly, it has a great feel as an independent hotel, plus on the times I have stayed it has offered outstanding value for lodging on a Vermont ski trip. Okemo is about 1/2 hour away and Mount Snow is a bit further. The Upper Pass Lodge does hospitality right.

The owners, Brigitte and Jason are so friendly and welcoming. And, Jess is always smiling and eager to make your visit fun. The bar area is on the smaller size with about 10 bar stools and a few tables, but that creates a very intimate setting and you are sure to make some new friends when you're there. There is a small menu with some very delicious things to pick from. The burger and fried pickles are delicious! There are usually four draught beers to choose from, as well as a full bar. The garden is beautiful and the rooms are quaint and cozy. I slept with the window open and it smelled fresh and was quiet all night. The breakfast tastes delicious and tastes homemade as well! It is also located close to a few restaurants, one of which serves great burgers. I do have a recommendation though: print out or screenshot your GPS instructions because my GPS would not get service and I am not familiar with the area.

We…read morepicked the Grafton Inn since the reviews were good, the menu was interesting and the prices reasonable, plus they were open on weeknights. Reservations are easy to make online. Getting there proved a bit challenging when Google Maps routed us on State Route 121 which has some unpaved sections; luckily going back was easier using Route 35 to Route 11. Arriving at Grafton the first impression was of a classic New England Inn with a welcoming glow on a cold winter night. Entering through the B&B lobby had a great warm and comfortable feeling. The feeling of history is reflected in sign over the front desk showing the many prominent guests who have stayed over the years. The restaurant is classy, burgundy-colored walls with white trim and classic fixtures; a wonderful upscale dining room without being stuffy. They even had live music with a guitarist playing soft rock. Our server was very nice, professional and attentive. The menu combines classics and some interesting touches, I ordered the Bouillabaisse and my friend ordered the Caesar Salad and Chicken Wings. Our food came out quickly. The Caesar salad was huge, the wings were tasty and a generous portion. My Bouillabaisse was excellent a nice tomato and fennel broth loaded expertly prepared scallops, shrimp, mussels and a large fish fillet. The highlight were the large sweet perfectly seared scallops, but all of the seafood were delicious. For me this was a Pescetarian dream dish. We were persuaded to order dessert my friend got the Apple Pie and I got the Skillet Chocolate Chip Cookie topped with vanilla ice cream. Both desserts were sweet and satisfying, a great way to end a wonderful meal. I would strongly recommend having dinner at the Grafton Inn, the food, service and atmosphere are great, prices are reasonable for what you get. It dates back to 1801- and has old world charm with some nice updates as well. We attended a wedding here- but were able to check out the food from the Phelps Barn Pub- excellent!- and had a delightful breakfast at the Inn. The breakfast was a buffet with eggs, pancakes, French toast, biscuits and sausage gravy, bacon, sausage, fruit and more. Yummy! The rooms and the rest of the Inn have a historic feel. But they provide good WiFi throughout to keep you connected. The bed was a king- I slept like a baby! We will have to come back to check out more of the facility. It is close to the ski areas of Magic Mountain and Bromley. Great service by all the front desk and servers too. Highly recommended!

This was my first ever stay at a bed and breakfast and this was everything I could have asked for. Anne & David were warm and welcoming innkeepers and their residence was clean, homey, even kitchy with old ski relics and pictures from yesteryear adorning the walls as decoration as well as a unique assortment of mugs available for coffee or tea left on a shelf for your choosing, a very simple but pleasing touch). It was pretty much exactly what I would have imagined a BnB to be in a northeast ski town. The hospitality was second to none - warm smiles and helpful local hints, great big breakfast with toast, fruit, with eggs, bacon, and sausage all from local farms. The cat was even friendly, who curled up with me as I worked to catch up on some business in one of the many open gathering spaces late at night. If you ask nicey, David might show you his ski collection or even take you out for a personal tour of the mountain (although he did say he rarely gives lessons anymore, but something tells me he's still game). I couldn't be more pleased, and I would go again without hesitation. My highest recommendation!
