King of hamachi, Jalapeno Roll, 49er' Roll, Assorted Sashimi 12pcs
    Abbie N.

We ordered takeout and it was very good. We did the assorted sashimi, 49ers roll, king of hamachi, and jalapeno roll. I wouldn't order the jalapeno roll because it had a texture similar to bell peppers that I didn't love. It was around $80 bucks which seemed like a good price and quality.

Quite enjoyed this spot in Noe! Their menu is pretty reasonably priced, and the fish is super fresh and thick cut. I got the chirashi bowl which was so delicious! BTW they do 10% off with cash also!

Great location , always have a good happy hour! Our go to is always the red dragon, tiger , and jalapeño roll. We usually start off with the classic miso soup, and the house salad is phenomenal! The dressing is to die for , lil sweet and lil tangy! The Red dragon and tiger roll has freshly fried shrimp tempura. The crunch on them is amazing! And the jalapeño roll has a light kick of spice but very mellow and delicious as well! Service is always excellent and the restaurant is very intimate and peaceful. And 10% off the bill when paying with cash!! Always a plus!

Lovely small eatery with a neighbourhood vibe. Service was good, and food was adequately tasty. The GesoAge squid legs were meaty and tasty. Our sushi rolls were very filling. Presentation was frickin crazy, I had no idea what was in the sauce but it was going ham. The quality of the sushi is not the highest, but good enough for a neighbourhood spot, and also for the price of the rolls! Mackerel plate was bland to me but my partner liked it as it was just a well fried mackerel. Not dry but not juicy. Just a fish

I never thought I would say affordable and fresh sushi in the same sentence but Oki Sushi in Noe Valley does just that. Hello Roll (eel, hamachi, avocado), Hawaii Roll (tuna avocado), Spicy Tuna, and Salmon Lover (Salmon skin and cucumber topped with salmon, tobiko, and scallion) all for under $40 before tax and tip. I though the Hello Roll would be my favorite, but I also couldn't stop eating the Salmon Lover so had gotten it all again the second time in one form or another. The second time however wasn't as great as the first as the rice was mushy and didn't have any seasoning (rice vinegar, etc.). In addition, also got the king of hamachi which I was not a big fan of since I prefer raw hamachi over cooked, which this had both. Instead of just spicy tuna this time, I upgraded to the lover roll which was the spicy tuna topped with white tuna and tobiko that came with both the black and orange tobiko. Overall, the mushy unseasoned rice took away from the experience the second time but I am hoping that it was just a one-off since they were really busy with takeout orders that day. Was takeout only when I went the first-time but it has now opened for indoor dining. Walking distance from Mitchell's Ice Cream for dessert after is another bonus.

Ordered delivery here through DoorDash so can't speak to Ambiance. Service took an hour, which is expected for a Saturday night at 7pm. Food was solid. Was it the best sushi I've had? No. Was it the worst? No. Lion King roll was bomb and the 12 piece sashimi was delicious. The King of Hamachi was overcooked though. Would be willing to try this spot again but I'd want to try more rolls.

Just amazing all around. The sushi menu is fun, dynamic, and delicious. My friends and I barely used any soy sauce at all! The flavors pop! Service was excellent.

Oki Sushi located in my community is finally reopened for dine-in, so we went there to celebrate my friend's birthday. Here are the items we ordered: Apps: We ordered a couple of appetizers, and surprisingly they were all pretty good. · Geso Karaage (Deep Fried Squid Tentacles) was my absolute favorite because I loved squid tentacles. Their house-made mayo sauce was savory and creamy. · Kaki Fry (Japanese Fried Oysters) and Soft Shell Crab were crispy and chunky; they paired well with beer. I liked the Garlic Edamame which had a tint of spiciness and buttery flavor. · Albacore Tataki and Assorted Sashimi (12pc) were fresh and refreshing as appetizers. Nigiri: Engawa (Fluke Fin): Engawa refers to the parts of muscle in the flounder's edge. OH MY GOD, THIS IS MY FAVORITE. LOVED THIS SO MUCH . Engawa is limited, so make sure you get one if they have Engawa available Otoro with black truffle (Fatty Tuna): THIS IS ALSO MY FAVORITE . The fat melted in my mouth and was super good. It came with the black truffle on the top which brought the nigiri to an extra level. Amaebi (Sweet Shrimp): Fresh, sweet shrimp. The shrimp heads were deep-fried and very crispy. We also ordered Kurodai (Black Sea Bream) , Ikura (Salmon Roe), and Ika (Squid). All of them were fresh and delicious. Rolls: King of Hamachi and TNT Roll were both great. I liked the mango in the TNT roll; the mango made the roll refreshing. The mango was perfect, ripe, and right in season, super fresh and juicy. Hand-Rolls: We got the Spicy Tuna Hand Roll & Spicy Scallop Hand Roll, and they were both made well. The interior décor is nice and cozy; I liked how they decorate the restaurant with warm lightings; and it made me feel comfortable, and the whole experience was delightful. It was a Friday night, and the restaurant was busy; however, the service was great and satisfied. The servers were attentive and friendly. Overall, we had a great dining experience, and I will bring my friends and family to try out more of their dishes next time!

A generous portion for one person and I probably didn't need much else. Loved the nigiri especially the charred salmon. A bit of a kick with the shredded of pepper on top. Conveyer belt sushi for the win!…read more I came here last minute because I needed somewhere quick to eat and I was by myself, so luckily there was one seat left (during busy dinner time on a weekend, no less - other places had long waits) Here in America the conveyer belt sushi places haven't really impressed me, but being that this one is in Japantown, it's pretty decent. If there isn't something on the conveyer, you can always ask for it. They were cutting up real, whole fish so you know it's fresh at least. Service was great, super quick and the "chefs" were responsive. The menu is nice, with lots of drinks to choose from as well. Cuts were not authentic but still meaty. Pricing can be on the higher side, depending on what you like. But others have mentioned it can be cheap as you like or expensive as you like at places like these, as they are priced essentially by the choice of fish and how it's prepared. Atmosphere was lively for a weekend night, but I have been here during the week as well when it's less busy. It can be tight if it's full (get to know your neighbor!) but it's more than adequate. Always a fun experience and I have , and will be back.

Oma San Francisco Station is an omakase restaurant inside Japan Center in San Francisco Japantown…read more They offer 3 menus: Mizuho with 24 items, Sakura with 16, and Tsubame with 12. The location is unusual, as the restaurant is open to the mall, which is a bit disruptive. I came for the 8:30pm seating, but the previous guests were still finishing, so I had to wait until 8:45pm. The staff did not seem very concerned. Bad start. You could also hear the mall cleaning crew during dinner, which was not very pleasant. I ordered the 24-item Mizuho Menu, as did all the other guests. There were 5 guests in total (the restaurant can seat up to 8 people). Here is the menu I was served at the end of May: 1. starter: ama ebi cracker with caviar, pickled lotus root with shaved bonito, crab salad 2. nigiri 4x: isaki, iwana, myabi tai, kanpachi 3. sashimi: chutoro, hotate with caviar, umi masu, sawada 4. nigiri 8x: hirame, suzuki, inada, kurodai, shima aji, kamasu, otoro, aged A5 wagyu, kinmedai 5. hot dish: miso soup with inari and shrimp head, hokkaido uni with marinated ikura, black cod, umi masu with raw yellow egg and caviar 6. dessert: matcha ice cream with strawberry Frankly, the food was excellent. The starter was not very creative, but the nigiri were great. The sashimi selection was very nice, with some fish you do not see as often in omakase menus, such as isaki, iwana, and myabi tai, a kind of tai. Sawada was delicious and is always a good inclusion. We asked for some wasabi and received a small cup of kizami wasabi, a chopped wasabi with a slightly crunchy texture, which was a nice touch. For the nigiri, all the classics of a good omakase were present: otoro, kinmedai, shima aji, uni, hotate, and wagyu. Kamasu was also included, and it is one of my favorite fish. It is also worth noting that they age both their beef and their tuna, including the otoro that was served. A few pieces were torched, maybe a few too many. Overall, the service was not memorable, although chef Ron Au was friendly and nice. The place itself felt a bit questionable, and my expectations were not very high after the beginning of the meal. But the food was truly excellent, and for that reason I think it deserves 5 stars.
