The finely sliced onions cooked right into the beef patty caramelized beautifully, giving the burger an incredible sweet and savoury taste. It was served on a soft potato bun, which was the perfect finishing touch. And the fries were just as good! Thick-cut, crispy, and perfectly seasoned--definitely the ideal side to go with the burger. Everything came together perfectly: crispy, caramelized, savoury, sweet, and seriously satisfying. If you love a great smash-style burger, Oklahoma Burgers is definitely worth a visit! It was just after 7:15pm on a Friday night when I decided to pop in to grab a burger to go, as there really isn't anywhere to eat inside except a stand up counter. I presumed that if you don't offer eat-in as a viable option, that the food would travel well. I was told when I ordered that they were just cleaning the grill, so it would be about 10 minutes, which I said was fine. I ordered the double patty Oklahoma burger. No changes were requested. My burger arrived about 12 minutes later, I walked the 3 blocks home, so less than a 10 minute walk, including waiting for the elevator. What I opened up was a flaccid, soggy burger that was absolutely DROWNED in their "burger sauce" which tasted like a whole lot of pickle brine mixed with some mayo, ketchup and mustard. At first I had thought the goop was all the melted cheese, but no, the overwhelming flavour of their vinegary burger sauce was all I could taste. There was almost no discernible char on either patty, and it tasted like a steamed burger patty. What a colossal waste of calories and beef. I found these burgers way overrated, I was excited about the fried onions smashed in, but nope, they were burned and were very bitter as a result, the bun? Had a black circle in the middle of the top bun, burned as well. Aside from these main issues, the burger was sooo incredibly messy, and rather bland. Maybe it was the burned bun and onions that drowned out any other flavors. The fries were weird, battered and fried, way too greasy for me. on top of that, there was so much sauce on it, that the bun could not stay on it as you ate, it just slid around with every bite, it took a fair bit of work to eat it, and honestly, the burger was so bad and disappointing that I barely could finish it, I threw out/composted 1/3 of it, I hope the worms like it at least, because I didn't, an over hyped burger indeed. That seemed to make patty super moist and onion gets caramelized at the same time. Ordered bone marrow sauce version. Sauce was sweet, tangy, spcy and greasy at the same time. It takes a lot for me to give a rating under four stars. I know how difficult it must be, running a restaurant in this day and age, so I like to give places a lot of leeway. Bad service is ultimately the only thing that really ticks me off, and bad service is what I got during a recent visit to Oklahoma Burgers. I showed up before noon on a recent Tuesday, and the place was just about empty. (One person was waiting for their food and they were gone by the time I ordered.) I kept it simple and just got the Oklahoma Single. As I waited, more and more people started coming in, including a group of about eight people. "Whew," I thought to myself, "I'm glad I got my order in before all these customers." My relief was very short-lived, as people started getting their orders before I got mine - even though I saw them place their orders after me. Finally, I heard what I thought was my name, but it turned out to be someone with a similar-sounding moniker. (And, of course, this person also ordered after me.) Finally, a whopping 21 minutes after I placed my order, I received my food. Did I get an apology or even an acknowledgement of their mistake, the fact that they clearly forgot about my simple order? No, of course not. I ate the burger, but I was fuming so much that my hands were shaking. I wolfed the burger down as quickly as I could and got the heck out of there. I'm assuming this was a one-off, a mistake that somehow I was unlucky enough to be the center of. It would've been easy to overlook had I received even the briefest, most cursory apology. Would that have been so hard? I might return someday to see if they've ironed the kinks out in terms of the way they treat customers, but it won't be anytime soon. read more

They have a simple menu which includes a single or double smash burger, and 3 types of fries; but the quality and taste of what they offer is top notch. They have a small standing section to eat your meal, and most of their orders are for takeout. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and they prepare orders very fast. This burger restaurant is their second location. They soft-opened on 2024-12-03. The first location, in Mississauga, opened in Nov 2022. It is a very small restaurant, with a very small storefront; easy to miss. It is mostly a takeout restaurant, although there is a counter where you can stand and eat, if you so desire. Their menu is very small, a Oklahoma Single ($8.50) or Oklahoma Double ($13.00); the Mississauga location has more choices. They come with American cheese, grilled onions, pickles, and burger sauce, served in a potato bun. The patties are 4oz onion smash burgers. This burger style originated during the Great Depression. The thinly sliced onions are caramelized as they cook, giving the burger a sweet and savoury flavour. They do sell Crinkle Cut Fries ($5.50), Dirty Fries ($12.50), Onion Rings ($6.50), and pop ($2.50). Each burger takes about 5 mins to cook. I ordered an Oklahoma Double with Fries and onion rings. We were curious to try this little takeout smash burger spot and it didn't disappoint. Price is reasonable and it's simple to grab a bite to eat. Not really much space to sit around but there is a counter indoors for you to stand and wolf down your burger/fries. We just had one single to share as we want to save our appetite later for more eats. The crispy patty is almost spilling out of the burger and it's so good. I mean my SO makes a pretty good burger and this is just as good without the splatters and clean up in our kitchen. Would recommend! read more

I went to Oklahoma Burgers due to all the hype on TikTok. Oklahoma Burgers is a tiny place with no seating. Nobody mentions this on TikTok. I asked the cashier if I can use the outdoor patio and she said no since it belongs to another restaurant. I have to stand and eat the food. No washroom either. This restaurant tries to copy the famous New York restaurant with onion burgers. I ordered the double burger with fries and drink. Cost more than 30 dollars. The burger was a soggy mess because it fell apart. Hard to eat out of a bag. The fries were coated and not made in the restaurant either though it cost 5 bucks. Would I go back? I doubt it since there are so many better smashed burgers places out there. read more

We love a new burger spot! The cool thing about Oklahoma burgers is they have ton of onions cooked into the patty which makes for some unique flavors. I got mine on delivery and it arrived quickly enough but then my friend showed up at my door and wouldn't leave so the burger got cool and greasy. But it was still a very solid smash burger and the fries were nice and crispy though they definitely needed more salt / seasoning. Anyways I'll give them a 4 stars and a mulligan and I'll try them again soon. read more

I spent 80 dollars at this place. I ordered three burgers, two fries and onion rings. I get home, it was 2 burgers, 2 fries..... no contact phone number to rectify. It's a shame because the food is great, but I feel extremely disappointed that they got my order so wrong, especially given the price point. Probably won't be going back there anymore. BM Double- $14 (bone marrow flavoured with a spice kick) Oklahoma Double w/ combo of fries and drink- $20 I like how the burger stayed hot for a while as its wrapped in foil... Been here twice and the food has been 10/10 both times. Service can be slow and usually there's only 2 or 3 employees so that makes sense. They did mess up our order once when we first went but it's so good, idec lol. I wish there was seating or just a bit more space because the restaurant is really small and it gets really cramped as people wait for their food. read more

Oh my goodness. This place put their foot in the burgers! My husband and I went back again the next day because of how good it was. Their menu is small, but their food is impactful. These people know what they're doing! Can't go wrong with either the Oklahoma or the BM burger, but highly recommend the dirty fries as a side. I also put the dirty fries as a topping into my burger once I got back home. Excellent customer service too.
