Matari is definitely my new favourite coffee break. This spot has some unique drinks on the menu and a great selection of desserts/treats to have with your cup of tea/coffee. I love that they're able to modify your drinks based on your preferences. There's quite a lot of options to choose from as well. I really enjoyed the honeycomb and the portion was good to share. It wasn't too sweet but the honey on top was the perfect addition. The drink is served in a beautiful cup and was delicious + worth the wait. Our order was a bit of a long wait despite it not being busy, but it was 100% worth it. Looking forward to coming back! One of my favourite coffee shops in the GTA that I keep going back to over and over again. I especially love their adeni and their croissants. However, I find that everything I've tried on the menu has always been sooo good. It's a little on the pricier side but the atmosphere/ambiance of the place and quality/taste of the products make up for it. They also recently introduced a loyalty program where you can collect points with every purchase. Tried their pistachio cake and loved every bite!

The employees were friendly. The girl that took my order explained to me what was in their lattes which was very nice of her. I ordered the Pistachio Latte with Soy Milk (5/5). I thoroughly enjoyed sipping on this drink. I like how there was no added sugar. I really got to taste the espresso which had a chocolate finish to it pairing deliciously with the pistachio sauce. The pistachio sauce added a creamy and nutty layer to this drink. This place gets pretty busy but they have lots of seating. They also have pastries and other drinks. Overall, I'd come back again when I'm in the area to try their other drinks. Maybe a pastry or two.

Tried a few other drinks with my family the second time and although the drink didn't quite meet my expectation, the staff was nice enough to remake it for me. Drinks are a bit pricey though (unless this is standard in Canada now so that's kinda crazy). But it is high quality and you would definitely enjoy it. Service is pretty quick, staff is nice and friendly. The space is huge but it gets rather crowded and loud so not very ideal for studying.

The cake was spongy, and the cream cheese frosting was spread evenly. However, I would have preferred if the frosting was less sweet although this wasn't a deal breaker for me and I would buy this cake again. The coffee is self-served in a corner of the store by the front door, but you pay at the register. There are also two chairs by the front window but the overall space in the bakery is quite small so I wouldn't imagine a lot of customers staying to enjoy their drinks and baked goods there. We also got a latte and they offered to add cinnamon on top which was a nice touch. We also got the ham and cheese croissant which was good, but I wouldn't say that it's the best croissant ever. I would want to try other bakery items and will definitely be returning soon!

The chocolate croissant was perfect, just like ones we've had in Paris and Napa. The muffins were very good, too. Took advantage of muffin & coffee special. Lemon bread and buttermilk scones were also top-notch. Highly recommended! The waitress was so nice answering our questions without being overbearing and giving us space to explore before ordering.

The location isn't great as it's tucked away in a pretty empty plaza. Even the ambiance upon entering doesn't give off the impression that the coffee will be THAT good but I'm here to tell you it is! I got the Iced Spanish Latte which was sweet and creamy and the espresso was so balanced and didn't get lost in the condensed milk. We also tried a Pourover and I like that you can choose any beans they offer! We went with the Loco Series Lychee Pop and it was outstanding. I'm a big fan of lychee and rose, both flavors are very palpable and even the aroma/color of the pourover were proof that it would be good. We ended up buying a bag of the whole beans. They're some of the best beans I've ever had. The barista is not only hilarious but definitely knows what he's doing!

When dining in, you order at the counter, get a number, and they bring your food to the table. Breakfast items are available until 4 p.m., and after that they serve salads, bowls, and sandwiches. On my first visit, I had a hot chai latte with espresso and it was absolutely delicious. The second time, I tried the iced pumpkin spice latte and didn't love it. The pumpkin spice syrup is homemade, which is nice, but the flavor fell a little flat and the large glass was mostly milk, which overpowered the drink. For food, I've tried the egg sandwich simple but good. The spinach feta croissant was heavy on the spinach, light on the cheese, and even though I asked for it warmed up, it was still cold in the middle. Their bowls are very fresh, but I found them a little under-seasoned and could've used more dressing or a sprinkle of seasoning to tie everything together. Overall, it's a cozy spot with an inviting vibe (I love their "stay awhile" sign on the wall). I think it really depends on what you order and your personal taste. For some, the fresh and lighter options might be perfect. For me, a little more flavor and balance would make it great.
