    Ablo #5

I went here just after 5pm on a Wednesday with my son. He got the kid's bowl with jellof rice, chicken, garlic potatoes, and peanut butter sauce. I got the #5 ablo which came with 2 sweet rice dumplings, steak kabobs, tomato sauce, and tomato salad. My steak might have been a little on the tough side; but not enough to detract a star. I tried the lemongrass hibiscus lemonade. We split the beignets for desert. Everything was excellent. The food was ready very quickly. My 10 year old had never had any of this cuisine. So, I was a little worried that he wouldn't like it. However, he ate every bite and said it was really good. I will definitely go back.

Been looking forward to stopping here since we arrived in Omaha and it did NOT disappoint!! Friendly service at the counter, open seating, and the food was hot and delicious! Highly recommended and will be dining the next time we're in town!

Okra African Grill is a great place to eat! I ordered the Jellof red rice with a side of hot sauce. My wife got the peanut butter chicken. They were both delicious and the hot sauce was extra spicy. I also ordered Nina's Hibiscus lemongrass lemonade, it was very tasty. The service was professional and fast. The price reasonable and again the food was delicious. If you are ever in Omaha she k out Okra African Grill!!

This place is incredible. Its. Genius concept. Basically the chipotle of waaaaaaaaay better food. Everything looked fresh and delish. It was super hard to choose. I had the #2. The red rice and chicken. Omg it's so flavorful and so much food. This could easily be two meals. There is no way I will be eating this all in one sitting. So while the price may seem a tad high for Omaha at $13, I think it's a super good deal considering I will be eating this twice The gentleman working was incredibly kind, and after telling him it was my first time and he went over the menu with me and gave me his recommendations. I absolutely love African food and this really hit the spot for a quick healthy and delicious lunch. I can't wait to come back and try the fufu. If you love ethnic food, give this place a try you won't be disappointed.!

I found Okra African Grill looking on Yelp! My husband wanted to go to Chipotle, but we opted to try a different place in Omaha, so we tried this place. Coincidentally, it had a Chipotle-like concept of choosing your protein, starch, and extras, but I would choose it over Chipotle. Our family likes seafood, so did the "Build a Bowl" and chose shrimp and fish. There was a generous amount of shrimp, and the shrimp were not teeny! I wrestled with getting the Fufu (mashed yam) or rice, and ended up getting the red rice. I'm still curious and would want to try the Fufu next time. Someone chose to get black-eyed peas in place of rice, and was very happy with that. I would recommend getting the tomato salad, which is like a pico, as a side. It's a crunchy and refreshing addition to the bowl. It's personal preference, but we liked the fried plantains. We also liked the spinach (Gboma/Eguisi Desi) sauce best with the shrimp. Imo you have to put some thought into your protein and sauce combinations. Peanut butter sauce seems like it would go great with chicken. It was a pleasure to meet the owner of the establishment. She was very articulate and knowledgable about the food, as well as the surrounding area.

I'm totally in love with this restaurant. Though sadly I have only been able to dine in once (out on the patio!) and another time for take out... but maybe after writing this I'll go immediately for lunch! It's a fast casual vibe (order and pay at counter) but that's not a bad thing at all. And the food is oh so good! Build a Bowl is my favorite way to go and you really can't mess it up. Just pick some things that sound tasty (plantains!) and fill up with some tasty African food.

This was the first time my husband and I tried this establishment or African food in general. We absolutely LOVED it! Very clean. Nice and friendly staff. Both meals tasted delicious and we will definitely return to try more off the menu. The plantains were the perfect sweet and I had a side of black eyed peas. They were seasoned to perfection. My jellof rice was absolutely delicious. Everything was delicious I had a clean plate. We ordered the ginger lemonade which she hand made and it was delicious with a boast of ginger flavor. I was given a sample of the hibiscus lemonade which is also handmade and it was a delicious combination of flavors, not too sweet either.

It's ok. Like buffet style, takes forever. They moved locations. Expensive. Customers don't tip the drivers.

The food is truly the star. I tried the seasonal butter pecan tiramisu latte, which was absolutely delicious perfectly balanced, not overly sweet, and so smooth. For pastries, the strawberry and cream croissant was light, flaky, and fresh, with just the right amount of sweetness. The egg and bacon croissant was savory, satisfying, and baked beautifully, and the double egg bake was hearty and flavorful, ideal if you're looking for something more filling. Service was friendly and efficient. The staff were welcoming, patient, and happy to answer questions, which made the experience feel easy and inviting, even during a busy time. Overall, Tous Les Jours is a wonderful spot for coffee, pastries, or a casual breakfast or brunch. High-quality food, great service, and a calm, inviting ambiance. Branded as "Farm to cone", they have an exciting flavor variety to intrigue the adults in the room, of which there were quite a few. I sampled a more classic mint chocolate chip and a more experimental basil flavor with white chocolate chips, both kind of thematically similar. Both flavors hit hard, and the house waffle cone was thinner than I expected but pleasingly browned and it held up well. While the focus on dairy is expected, they do offer several sorbets for those whose dietary needs require it. Business was vigorous even on a midweek night, and I would note that for an ice cream place in an area where the sun does not set in summer until almost 9, they close on the early side, so hurry on over.
