We had a wonderful breakfast at Ol'Days! The ambiance is so cozy and inviting, and the music created the perfect relaxing vibe. Eliana was the sweetest server. Couldn't have asked for a better morning.

Nice spot for brunch in a nice country style setting. There are plenty of seats inside, so even though it was busy on a Sunday we were able to walk in. Good quality coffee. Cortado, cappuccinos were good. You can also get very large sized lattes which look like soup bowls! The menu had a range with lots of breakfast items and healthier salad/bowls sandwiches. You could enjoy breakfast brunch or lunch here. We enjoyed the pancakes to share and and the shakshuka and avo croissant. Sometimes we had to wave the staff down to get a water refill, and my friend had her plate and cutlery whisked away before she'd finished her last bite.

Really cute place! Came here with a party of nine for a bridal brunch and the service was quick and they were pretty accommodating when we needed to split our checks into four separate tabs. I ordered the shakshuka, and I kinda wish it was slightly more soupy? The dish itself was also on the smaller side than what I'm used to this dish being. I also felt the tomato base was a little dry but the avocados that came atop the dish were plenty and fresh. The pita on the side was also pretty good.

Great place for a group brunch!! Service was great as well as the drinks. I loved the short rib bun, the green sauce for the yuca fries is SO YUMMY! I got the tapioca bites out of curiosity but wouldn't recommend, they were kind of bland. They also make their own cold-pressed juices and have a ton of food and beverage options. Everyone really enjoyed their meals, will definitely be coming back.

Good and bad food and drinks, depending on what you get. The pink latte was delicious (and beautiful) but the chai latte tasted like slightly flavored milk. The Patagonia Bowl was alright, the dressing was really foamy and watery, and wasn't super cohesive with the rest of the ingredients. We were sat upstairs, which was ridiculously stuffy and had no AC or fans. We were all dripping by the end of our meal. We were also kind of forgotten by the waiters upstairs.

Very pretty place with lemon trees and a light, flowery feel. The menu for breakfast has a number of options and the foot came out quickly after we ordered. Breakfast was filling and interesting.

We tried this place on a whim and it was a good experience. We walked in and there were a few tables available. Our order was taken in a timely manner and the staff was kind and welcoming. The food took a while to arrive, but it was delicious and plated beautifully. The eggs were fluffy and I recommend having some. My partner ordered the "Champ Pancakes" but was disappointed that the plate served contained a singular pancake. I would recommend updating the menu if this is the norm to avoid false advertising. He liked the food still and enjoyed his specialty drink. The ambiance was nice and there is a bathroom for customers. The decor was beautiful and there were nice murals of lemon trees that went well with the interior.

Oh, the memories.. I really wanted breakfast but it was like 4pm and that menu option wasn't available but the host mentioned that they have a Happy Hour deal at the bar so I figured why not. Let me check out what they have to offer. They had some happy hour beverages but I'm not a big drinker. Besides I had to go to work. But for those who like wine, one type of IPA and margaritas, they had some special specials on those drinks. And on the food, can't remember what they really had besides the Mac and cheese dumplings, which I have never heard of, but I was ready to explore. So I ordered the dumplings with the cheese dipping sauce and they were OK. Not really my thing and I don't know if I will order them again per se but they were OK in my opinion. Next visit I'll try to get there for Breakfast/Brunch or dinner because I know those menus have some great options!

We tried the "Fuel" juice, which was an excellent recommendation from Alex. The vibe inside is so cool, chill hip hop music playing throughout and I genuinely added about five songs to my music library before we even finished eating. That kind of atmosphere is hard to find. The food was incredible. I ordered the buffalo chicken tenders with waffles and everything about it was perfect. The tenders were crispy and glazed beautifully in buffalo sauce. The waffle was not your average waffle, it had this wheat cinnamon style to it that made it stand out, soft, fluffy and absolutely delicious. It came with butter and what I believe was an herb butter as well and whatever it was it was incredible. My fiancé ordered eggs Andy style, scrambled with bacon and toast, and the real standout on his plate were the potatoes. Crushed style, perfectly seasoned with what tasted like brown sugar and paprika. We are still talking about those potatoes. Service was amazing and the whole experience just felt effortless and fun. If you are in the Lower East Side and looking for an incredible brunch spot with amazing food and even better vibes, Sweet Chick is the one. Do not sleep on this place.

This one honestly hurt my heart…read more.. Y'all... this review hurts my heart to write because I am a Sweet Chick fan. Not a "I tried it once" fan. A real fan. I've been going to Sweet Chick since there was only one location in Brooklyn. I was literally traveling from Jersey to Brooklyn just for the food, the drinks, and the experience, and I never minded doing it because it was always worth it. So when they opened the Ludlow Street location, I was excited because now I didn't have to make the trip to Brooklyn every time I wanted my chicken and waffles. Back then, Sweet Chick was an experience. They had the big specials board with rotating waffles, desserts, and seasonal items. Their chicken and waffles never missed. I honestly can't remember ever leaving disappointed. So this review is really hard for me. Back on June 26th, after work, my mom and I decided to grab dinner. I work in the LES, and she suggested Sweet Chick. I did tell her my brother Robert had gone recently and said it had changed a lot, but we figured we'd see for ourselves. We got there around 9-ish. The first thing we noticed... It was HOT. Not warm. Hot. Like, "why does it feel like a sauna in here?" hot. We've had enough hot weather this summer, so walking into a restaurant with little to no air conditioning was honestly uncomfortable. We actually debated leaving before we even ordered, but decided to stick it out. Unfortunately... it never got better. The service also wasn't what I remembered. I'm really big on customer service, and Sweet Chick has always had amazing service whenever I've gone. This time it just felt different. The attentiveness wasn't there, and the overall vibe just felt... off. Even the menu has changed. My mom used to love their kale salad, but now it's made differently with things like dates, and she wasn't interested in it anymore. For drinks, my mom ordered an espresso martini, and unfortunately she really didn't enjoy it. It was pretty bitter, and we couldn't quite figure out what was off about it. If I'm ordering an espresso martini, I have certain expectations, and this one just didn't hit for her. I ordered the Queen of New York, and I actually really enjoyed my drink. No complaints there. Now... the food. I ordered the Maple Chipotle Chicken & Sweet Potato Waffle. And this is where my heart really broke. Years ago, when they first introduced the sweet potato waffle as a special, I remember it actually tasting like sweet potato. This one... Honestly just tasted like a regular waffle. I kept looking for that sweet potato flavor, and it just wasn't there. The chicken itself was crispy and cooked well, but the maple chipotle sauce wasn't evenly coated. Some bites were really good, while other pieces were dry because they barely had any sauce on them. Another thing longtime Sweet Chick fans might notice is the butter service. I remember getting three or four different flavored butters, each in their own little container. This time we got two flavors together in one cup. It's a small thing, but it was one of those details that always made Sweet Chick feel special. My mom ordered the Carolina BBQ Chicken with the Grilled Corn Waffle. I'll be fair--her waffle absolutely tasted like a corn waffle. I tried it, and it was really good. She enjoyed her meal more than I did, although she also had a few pieces of chicken that weren't evenly coated with sauce and were a little dry. Overall, she thought it was okay. And I think that's really the word for this visit. Okay. Not terrible. But not the Sweet Chick we remembered. Maybe that's why this visit hit me so hard. When you've loved a place for years, you naturally compare it to what you know it can be. I genuinely hope this was just an off night because I have so many great memories here, and I'd honestly love to come back one day and have the Sweet Chick experience that made me fall in love with it in the first place. Because this restaurant has meant a lot to me over the years, and I'm rooting for it. I really am.

While walking around the Flatiron district, I came across The Smith. This New Yorker only knew about the Midtown East location, so I was quite happy to take this opportunity to walk in and grab a seat at the bar. Adam, my server, greeted me with such welcoming enthusiasm, he filled the mood perfectly with lively and accommodating energy, that I felt immediately comfortable during my solo dine. I couldn't help but absorb the inviting atmosphere of my surroundings, as well as people watch while others appeared to do the same. This moment literally gave me time to relax and smell the roses...blessed. Moving on to my review. The Smith has so many diverse, new American dishes. No wonder others enjoy this mini-chain of restaurants. Dishes I noticed on the menu were the Smoked Salmon Potato Waffle, Baked Eggs alla Vodka, Benedict Johnny, Potato Chips with Blue Cheese and Onion Fondue, just to name a few. I kept it simple and ordered a light, yet filling bite of the Spicy Salmon Tartare. This appetizer lived up to its name...it was deliciously rich and spicy. I need to go back to try some of their other comfort offerings. A friend and I chose to experience the Restaurant Week lunch special since neither of us had been to this restaurant before. We sat at the bar and decided to go for the $19 lunch special they serve Monday - Friday instead. We had alot of staff servicing us. Even though we sat at the actual bar, we had a floor server attending to us as well as the bar staff. We even met the manager, Tiffany, as she introduced herself to us and made sure we were taken care of properly. The UWS location is huge. It is about 2/3rds of a North/South block with an enclosed patio built in the front of the restaurant. The bar is simply beautiful. It is half inside and half on the sidewalk also semi enclosed. I did not walk around the inside of the restaurant but I did see there were alot of mirrors and a darker interior. Bar was filled with liquor on the walls and gave it a modern day saloon feel. Very comfortable and inviting. We ordered drinks initially. They were carefully crafted and tasty on a hot summer day. I ordered the Waldorf Salad lunch special and my friend had the Spicy Chicken Sandwich. I must say the portions are large. They make sure you do not leave hungry! :) Both entrees came with soup and a second side. I had the biscuit and honey/maple butter. Oh my was it heavenly. My friend was super satisfied with her sandwich. It looked like a meal fit for a Queen! All of the food was seasoned well. While we were still enjoying our meal the bar changed from lunch to happy hour service. My friend decided to order the Margarita flight. It came with three flavored margaritas for a mere $12. I tried the Spicy Brine Margarita and it will now be the only drink I have for future visits. So delicious and flavorful. We were having such a great time as the bar filled with patrons and we spoke with our neighbors. At this time one of our servers brought us a complimentary pretzel. It was the star of the show from presentation to taste I would recommend anyone to try it. The bathrooms are unisex. By the time I needed to use it the restaurant was crowded and so it needed to be serviced. The stall I utilized had a strong urine smell and needed a proper cleaning. Management might consider placing air fresheners in each stall to at least give the illusion of cleanliness. This restaurant raised the bar for hospitality! The service was top notch as well as the food and atmosphere. If you have not tried this place I highly suggest that you do. It is a 100 out of 10 establishment for NYC! My gratitude goes out to all of the wait staff and bartenders that made our experience so wonderful.
