But for those who like wine, one type of IPA and margaritas, they had some special specials on those drinks. And on the food, can't remember what they really had besides the Mac and cheese dumplings, which I have never heard of, but I was ready to explore. So I ordered the dumplings with the cheese dipping sauce and they were OK. Not really my thing and I don't know if I will order them again per se but they were OK in my opinion. Next visit I'll try to get there for Breakfast/Brunch or dinner because I know those menus have some great options!

The atmosphere is super sweet and cozy. The restaurant was empty when we first walked in, but the second we sat down, it completely packed up! Very comfortable and inviting. We ordered drinks initially. They were carefully crafted and tasty on a hot summer day. I ordered the Waldorf Salad lunch special and my friend had the Spicy Chicken Sandwich. I must say the portions are large. They make sure you do not leave hungry! :) Both entrees came with soup and a second side. I had the biscuit and honey/maple butter. Oh my was it heavenly. My friend was super satisfied with her sandwich. It looked like a meal fit for a Queen! All of the food was seasoned well. While we were still enjoying our meal the bar changed from lunch to happy hour service. My friend decided to order the Margarita flight. It came with three flavored margaritas for a mere $12. I tried the Spicy Brine Margarita and it will now be the only drink I have for future visits. So delicious and flavorful. It was the star of the show from presentation to taste I would recommend anyone to try it. The bathrooms are unisex. By the time I needed to use it the restaurant was crowded and so it needed to be serviced. The stall I utilized had a strong urine smell and needed a proper cleaning. Management might consider placing air fresheners in each stall to at least give the illusion of cleanliness. This restaurant raised the bar for hospitality! The service was top notch as well as the food and atmosphere. If you have not tried this place I highly suggest that you do. It is a 100 out of 10 establishment for NYC! A friend was celebrating her promotion and invited a group of friends to join her. We were a table of 11 and were seated in the back dining room. Considering the size of our group, the service was remarkable--attentive, efficient, and never intrusive. I started with a gin martini, which was perfectly made. We ordered an assortment of appetizers to share, making it easy for everyone to sample several things from the menu. For my main course, I went with the ribeye, which was cooked to perfection. Dessert was the highlight of the meal for me. The "Death by Chocolate" was outstanding--a rich chocolate mousse, a caramelized layer of crispy sugar over it, and topped with a dollop of whipped cream. It was the perfect way to finish the evening. Walking into the restaurant, the first thing that caught my attention was the impressive 50-foot zinc bar. The spacious dining room, designed by the Rockwell Group, has an industrial-chic feel, with white subway-tiled walls, reclaimed wood, and large windows. There's also a classic black-and-white photo booth in the basement, which adds a fun touch. The menu is broad enough to appeal to almost everyone, ranging from a raw seafood bar and prime steaks to burgers, mac 'n cheese, and popular brunch dishes. I also appreciate the complimentary house-filtered still and sparkling water--a small detail, but a nice touch. The location is particularly convenient for Lincoln Center, with easy access from the 1 train at 66th Street-Lincoln Center and the A, B, C, and D trains at Columbus Circle. A Little History The Smith traces its roots to 2007, when Jeffrey Lefcourt and Michael Jacobs opened the original location in the East Village. The 63rd Street restaurant opened in November 2012 as the brand's third New York City location, designed to serve Upper West Side residents as well as the large number of people attending performances at Lincoln Center. After years of enjoying the East Village location, I'm glad I finally made it to the 63rd Street restaurant. With excellent service, a lively atmosphere, a broad menu, and a great location, it delivered a thoroughly enjoyable experience. I'll definitely be back.
