I don't think the wait staff is inattentive, but they cover large areas, so it just takes them awhile to fulfill requests. Mac n Cheese hands down was the best dish I ordered. It was perfectly cheesy, with a delicious crisp cheese layer on top, gooey cheese inside, and served at the perfect temperature. I ate half of it before touching anything else. The chicken nuggets are made from dark meat and are tender and juicy, but do not have much flavor without the Asian sauce. The shishito peppers are cooked perfectly, but I didn't love the mayonnaise-esque sauce they were smothered. The flavor of the peppers was so good with just the spices that I scraped as much of the sauce off as I could. We were looking for a brunch spot that could seat a large group. This place came up and it was opentable accessible. They have ample seating both indoor and outdoor! They have lots of unique brunch specials. The one that caught everyone's eyes was the vodka sauce eggs! It comes with 2 baked eggs and a creamy vodka sauce. It also has some spinach on the side to add a little healthiness to it. They start you off with a table side bread and butter while you wait for your meal. I got the rancheros. It has beans, avacodo and jalapeños to add a little kick. It was a little excessive on the cilantro taste but they have a homemade salsa that balances it better. The kids enjoyed the butter pasta, and the macaroni and cheese was also devoured. Other kids loved the fluffy buttermilk pancakes. My wife's Frozen Pool Party tasted like something straight out of a Death & Co. mixology finals round. Creative, refined, and just plain fun. The food was also impressive. The menu strikes a nice balance between healthier options and indulgent brunch staples, and everything we ordered delivered both in flavor and presentation. Which is why it's frustrating to say the service didn't live up to the rest of the experience. We were seated at a table set with visibly dirty dishes -- traces of butter still on the plates. I quietly mentioned it to the server. He inspected them, said nothing, removed them... and never brought replacements or acknowledged the miss. No quick apology, no "we'll fix that right away," nothing. It made me wonder how dishes leave the kitchen that way, washed by one person, set by another, without anyone noticing. It felt either like a simple mistake or a breakdown in attention to detail. And on a milestone birthday brunch, that lack of care stands out. For the second consecutive year, The Smith delivered an excellent Thanksgiving pre-fixe three course meal. Again, we reserved (more than a month in advance) a table at the Nomad location. And again, it was a busy holiday affair. Our server was very welcoming and on point answering questions and making recommendations. Their 3 course pre-fixe meal was $88 not including additions , beverages, gratuity and taxes. We started off with the Sparkling Cosmo (I'm sure Carrie Bradshaw would approve) and later, a bottle of Beginnings Orange Wine from Italy. All very good. For appetizer, I chose Butternut Squash Soup ( creamy and decadent) while the other two selections were Gnocchi with a Truffle Cream Sauce. Could have kicked myself for not ordering this one. I'm not a huge Gnocchi fan but theirs was to die for. We all chose the Traditional Turkey Breast meal: white meat on a bed of spinach and mashed potatoes. Included for the table was: Brussel Sprouts, Stuffing and Cranberry Sauce. Everything very very good. Here is the overall sentiment of my group and a gripe--the "for the table" servings were very small. If you're a party of more than 2, the serving of stuffing and Cranberry Sauce isn't satisfying. In my opinion, they should serve the turkey on top of stuffing instead of mashed potatoes. Thanksgiving is all about the stuffing and no one wants a skimpy serving. Unless you have a low appetite, the side servings were just too small. I had to ask for gravy twice in addition to more stuffing which took a while to be brought to the table. And the Cranberry Sauce was maybe a few tablespoons in terms of portion size. I think The Smith should do things differently considering the price point. I love this restaurant and their other locations, but I'm not sure I'll return again next year for Thanksgiving. It was the same last year. Those in my party felt the same. Among the three of us we spent almost $500 including tip. Lost one star for this reason. And it's kind of a big deal. read more

Standout service during a last minute lunch decision! It was pretty noisy during a weekday lunch but that seems to be expected here. I ordered the little gem Caesar that came with Parmesan crisps instead of croutons (a win for gluten free people!). It was a little low on salt but luckily the tables had salt and pepper and with a little seasoning it was perfect. I also had the grilled chicken sandwich with fries, but they accommodated the meal to be gluten free by removing the bun and adding greens. It was SO good.
