We hung out mostly on the side bar called Walter's because they had several screens playing the game. One of my favorite things is their amazing selection of fresh fruits. They regularly carry hard-to-find favorites like Thai mangoes, mangosteen, lychees, longan, and many other Asian fruits that can be difficult to find elsewhere. I'm also impressed with their seafood department. It's generally very clean, well-maintained, and doesn't have the strong fishy odor you sometimes notice in other seafood markets, which makes shopping there much more pleasant. Whether I'm shopping for fresh produce, seafood, or Asian ingredients, Lotte always has a great selection. It's definitely one of my favorite places to shop for groceries.

There's a lot tables to eat and a lot of bar space to sit at, both outside and inside. There margaritas were fantastic. They have a huge selection of flavors and I went with raspberry. The bartenders and staff were super nice and attentive even as it started to get a little crowded. they took time to explain the menu and answer any questions we had. It is filled with tourists due to the connected hotel and proximity to the airport, so even on a Tuesday it felt packed in here. The layout feels almost like a labyrinth but there is a lot of signage on where to go. Most of the stores are ones you can find at most malls, but there are quite a bit of 'unique' stores as well. You've also got the Crayola experience, which is pretty large. While this mall wouldn't be my first choice to go to, it does do the trick if you're needing your fix of big name stores.

My issue with The Florida Mall is that the A/C doesn't work well. It's a huge mall with tons of shops and tons of people walking around. They are so busy. We were looking for stores with the best A/C bc we couldn't really beat the heat here. Primark has the best A/C. Along with Armani Exchange, Ghirardelli bc of their chocolates, and The TNS Store. I wish I could have stayed longer but the lack of A/C made me want to leave. I very much loved the Xmas in July Event and Santa, Mrs. Claus, the elves, the photographer, and the other people working were so nice. The AC is sure lacking and this was the issue last year. Perhaps the big space, older mall and open ceiling exposing the sunshine sure doesn't help. This is a very popular mall. It could def be better here.

First, seating can be a challenge. There is plenty of outdoor seating but not much indoors. The day we went it was pretty hot and sitting outside was not the most enjoyable experience at times. Second, I fully support spending money at local businesses but the tipping culture here felt a bit excessive. I bought a bag of coffee beans with no drink and was prompted for a tip. I spent $45 for 12 pieces of chocolates at Oban Chocolatier and was asked for a tip there too. Same thing when I spent about $25 on four cookies at Gideon's Bakehouse. I am happy to support but it started to feel like a lot in a not enjoyable way. Third, the hours between vendors can be a bit awkward. We came around brunch time which worked for some spots but others were not open yet. For example, Domu does not open until dinner (5PM) and Gyukatsu Rose was not opening until later in the afternoon (3 PM) Overall, I think this is a great place to check out especially if you enjoy trying a variety of local spots. Just plan ahead for seating and timing and be prepared for lots of tip prompts along the way.
