    Mr Clean
    Christina V.

We heard Henry's Depot in Sanford added a new sushi spot, so of course we had to check it out -- and wow, what a great find! We tried the Mr. Clean (the special of the day) and the Rainbow Roll so we could sample all the different fish. Also grabbed some Hamachi and Tuna nigiri, and everything tasted incredibly fresh, clean, and well-prepared. Ordering from the kiosk was easy, and the chef behind the counter was super helpful, explaining the different rolls and fish and helping us decide what to try. He mentioned the menu will be changing and expanding, so we're already excited to come back for more. So glad this spot is close to home -- seriously delicious sushi and a great addition to the Depot. Thanks, Chef!

Henry's Depot is a 8,000 square foot food hall in Sanford located in a renovated 140 year old train station. Over two years Sean Kelley patiently renovated and refurbished the old railroad depot into a food hall named after railroad tycoon Henry B. Plant (1819-1899), the founder of the Plant System of railroads and steamboats. In 1887, Plant built the PICO Hotel in Sanford for the accommodation of his railroad and steamship passengers to Central Florida. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Restoration features of the old station include a wraparound porch, cupola, and spacious back patio.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There is room for seven different restaurants along with a cocktail bar in the caboose of the hall called the Basin where they have live music and special events. The Basin offers a weekday 4-7 PM Happy Hour with discounted beer, wine, and cocktails. Dining and drink choices at Henry's Depot include Sweet and Salty Island Grindz, Greenery Creamery, The Current Seafood, Gateway City Coffee, Pom Pom's Sandwiches, Chin Street Fare, Poke and Pie, and Yugiri Ramen. After careful consideration I had an amazing shrimp Caesar salad from The Current Seafood followed by a black ash coconut ice cream from the Greenery Creamery. I have been to a lot of historic train stations in Florida. Some are still in service, some have been abandoned, and a few are museums, but this is the first one I have come across that has been turned into a food hall. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I love all of the special touches throughout like historic photos and the train mural.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Henry's Depot does a great job of honoring the history of this building while taking it in a new direction serving up tasty eats and delicious drinks.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

First time visit to Henry's Depot provided our opportunity to check out the offerings for lunch. Walk up ordering to various vendors led us to Chin's Asian Fusion Street Fare where we shared a generous portion of Chicken Teriyaki Rice Bowl and a plate of 3 Philly Egg Rolls. This fast food takeout proved to be a delicious sampling of food and intentions to return to try more. Food was freshly prepared and served hot and tasty. Portions are large enough to share so take a friend. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There are other vendors to visit in this old train station food court so it may be several visits to find a favorite.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is a nice tavern on one end to enjoy libations.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Certainly a destination for good food.

My current favorite food hall in all of Central Florida. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Very well air conditioned, plenty of seating between the indoors and outdoors tables, plenty of space to walk in between all the vendors, great outdoor patio, and nicely located in Sanford.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Tried the Hawaiian place and the Asian street food place. Both delicious and good price points. Would love to come back for pizza, Pom Pom's, and ice cream!!

There are a lot of different options for food in this one food hall making it easier for a group to find something for everyone. The bar at the back has good drinks at a reasonable price with friendly bar tenders. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The over all vibe is cute but can get a bit noisy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Henry's Depot is an awesome food hall with lots of delicious options. On my last visit I tried three different spots and honestly they were all 5-stars in their own right. Everything was so good, I feel I need to come back and try everything Henry's has to offer! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The vibe is super chill and there's plenty of seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have hightops, bar seating, regular tables, and even cozy couches.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's also outdoor seating, but I didn't notice any covered areas.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]When we went, there was live music playing, which added to the fun and made the atmosphere even better.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]If you're looking for amazing food, a variety of choices, and a comfortable vibe, this place is a must-visit.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Perfect for hanging out with friends or even a fun date night![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]A cute little food hall with a variety of vendors as well as a full bar.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I stopped at Pom Pom's sandwiches and Greenery Creamery during my visit, both were delicious! Also grabbed a refreshing cocktail from the bar as well. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Most of the seating is in the bar area but there were a few tables on the outdoor porch as well with fans.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] A great place to grab a quick bite!

    Blackened grouper and garden salad
    Lihi M.

Had lunch at bait and hook. Ordered a salad with blackened grouper . The protein portion was slightly ridiculous- for a 10$ add on I expected to receive an actual lunch protein portion. Also ordered a Caesar salad but they didn't have Caesar dressing ? Overall seems like they have no idea what they're doing... when I said the fish portion is to small they said that's how it comes, I said it wasn't written anywhere and if I knew o wouldn't get it. The response of the rude cashier was - I'm sorry we just opened (?). Sushi was great, but for the customer service we will not return .

I ate dinner here today. I was disappointed to see Dharma Fine Vittles/Dixie Dharma was no longer here since I love their food. The pizza place was closed but opened later after we were already eating. Why was only the pizza place closed while all the other micro restaurants were open? I got the huli huli tofu plate from Sweet & Salty Island Grindz. I liked the tofu sauce and was happy to have a vegetarian (plant based) protein option. It was good. It took about 15-20 minutes to make but it is made fresh. I also got a black ash coconut ice cream in a black cone from Greenery Creamery. Delicious! I got a mermaid tale cocktail from The Basin.

Spicy Katsu chicken plate with Mac salad, rice and a roll.

The first time I came here I got the Hot katsu chicken sandwich. Perfect for two people. This time I got the spicy katsu chicken plate. Big scoop of Mac salad and 2 scoops of rice topped with a roll fam delicious! Perfectly seasoned and cooked. Staff was friendly and came to the table to see if I needed anything. I will definitely be back.

My daughter likes that there's a Claire's, and all the other Claire's around that we know are now closed. They have unique places when it comes to luxury brands, plenty of parking, but in peak season time can get difficult to find a parking close to the entrance. I took me so long to get here but it absolutely lived up to the hype…read more When the first Florida location opened in 2025, it seemed like every foodie and influencer in the state rushed to Orlando to be among the first to post about it. My social media was flooded with videos of long lines that wrapped around the building. As someone who loves discovering unique grocery stores and food experiences, I couldn't wait to visit. The H Mart story began in 1982 when Il Yeon Kwon opened a small grocery store in Queens, New York, to provide Asian food staples for local immigrant communities. Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, the company steadily expanded across the Northeast. Co-founder Elizabeth Kwon helped to redefine the Asian supermarket by designing stores that were bright, clean, and spacious, which was miles away from the stereotypical cramped, ethnic grocery stores. In 1998, the company established its headquarters in Lyndhurst, New Jersey, and in 2004 opened its first large-format Super H Mart in Duluth, Georgia. That concept became the blueprint for today's massive stores, complete with food halls, housewares, and a top notch selection of groceries. Now, with locations from coast to coast, H Mart has become both a cultural landmark and a mecca for foodies Fast forward to today, and I finally had the chance to experience it in all its glory for myself. H Mart is what happens when you combine an Asian food hall with the Asian grocery store of the future. Before you even reach the supermarket, you wind your way through a food hall serving everything from steaming bowls of noodles, Korean fried chicken, sushi, bubble tea, pastries, and so many craveable options. There was a Paris Bakery, Kung Fu Tea, Myung Ga, Jaws Topokki, Eggcellent, Chidon, Da bang dessert, and more. I am still kicking myself that I didn't come hungrier. There are also claw machines, video games, and a photo booth, making it feel like an entertainment destination as well as a place to get food. H Mart isn't just a place to buy groceries, it's an experience. The grocery store itself is incredible. The bright, spotless aisles are packed with every kind of fresh produce, meat, seafood, bakery items, frozen foods, snacks, beverages, and pantry staples you could imagine. Whether you're looking for everyday ingredients or hard to find international specialties, there's something delicious around every corner. I found myself wandering the aisles much longer than I planned because there was always something new to discover. They had bags upon bags of delicious rambutan, gorgeous dragon fruit, interesting mushrooms, amazing seafood (those lobster tails were really calling me), the viral crunchy chocolate shell fruit ice cream, so many flavors of Ramune, the no calorie jellies I see all over Instagram, my favorite candies, and I wanted to try lychee everything. I purchased enough snacks to take me from Orlando all the way back to Broward. Once you step inside its easy to see why this place has earned such a devoted following. They are your one stop Asian superstore. My only question is when are you coming to South Florida?

It has such a strong local vibe and it is cool to see a mix of smaller vendors alongside some more well known food spots. That said there are a few things worth noting. First, seating can be a challenge. There is plenty of outdoor seating but not much indoors. The day we went it was pretty hot and sitting outside was not the most enjoyable experience at times. Second, I fully support spending money at local businesses but the tipping culture here felt a bit excessive. I bought a bag of coffee beans with no drink and was prompted for a tip. I spent $45 for 12 pieces of chocolates at Oban Chocolatier and was asked for a tip there too. Same thing when I spent about $25 on four cookies at Gideon's Bakehouse. I am happy to support but it started to feel like a lot in a not enjoyable way. Third, the hours between vendors can be a bit awkward. We came around brunch time which worked for some spots but others were not open yet. For example, Domu does not open until dinner (5PM) and Gyukatsu Rose was not opening until later in the afternoon (3 PM) Overall, I think this is a great place to check out especially if you enjoy trying a variety of local spots. Just plan ahead for seating and timing and be prepared for lots of tip prompts along the way.
