This is the first Old Chicago I've ever been to. I was disappointed by the food, but incredibly impressed by the beer selection. I know it's their gimmic to have lots of beers (110, in fact) but I was still surprised at the quality of the selection. They had Sam Smith's Oatmeal Stout! Even though I didn't order it, availibility of Sam Smith's Oatmeal Stout elevates the 2 star pizza, pasta, and salad I did order. Why 2 star? Bland bland bland, oily oily oily. I wouldn't even rate this a one star. They advertise they are open until 12. We showed up at 11:20, to eat. Was ignored for a few minutes, but wanted to get our food order in so we didn't keep them late. Was ignored by the bartender, we finally asked if they were still open. He replies yes, but last call in 5 min. Ok, we are just hungry but could order a drink. Finally the waitress comes over, was very pleasant and took our order. We give our drink order to the server, meanwhile the bartender is bad mouthing us to her as he's literally next to us. Couldn't have felt more unwelcome or intrusive. I think that Old Chicago is a great place for both food and drinks I love to go during their happy hour 4-6pm cause you get half price drinks and appetizers, and their stuffed meatballs I could eat them for hours!! There were 4 of us and we had the following: Italian sandwich which had very good taste but was very greasy on the bottom in the basket which made the bread a little soggy. Fires with a dipping sauce were outstanding. Broccoli chicken alfredo mac and cheese was very good. Individual deep dish cheese pizza was good and very cheesy. A Meat Me Calzone that was also tasty but very greasy. Our server was outstanding. Take away some of the grease and a 5 star rating is there. read more

This place used to have better imported beers on tap but now it's just the usual assortment of microbrews and BMC available everywhere else in town. The service has really gone down hill as well with crazy long wait times. If you don't like it... don't bother complaining about it because they couldn't care less. read more

Went here to watch football and despite being the only people in the bar the manager wouldn't change the audio to the game we were watching. He said it was because multiple people called about another game, nobody ever showed up to watch the other game. More people arrived to watch our game and he still insisted on having the other played through the speakers and his solution: download an app and have the audio played through our phones. We had lunch today at Old Chicago (approx. 2:25), and I'm sorry to say but it may have been the 2nd or 3rd time in my life that I did not leave a tip. The service was atrocious and it wasn't even busy. We sat in the bar. There was one couple sitting, one man alone, and maybe three people at the bar. We sat for maybe 5 min. before the bartender decided to walk over to our table with the menus. She took our drink order, then about 5 min. later, took our order of one BBQ bacon cheese burger, and one salad. We almost walked out at approx 3:10, instead, I went to the host area,where finally a staff member walked by, and asked if she could help. I said "yes, we've been waiting for our order for about 30 min. and you arn't even busy". Maybe 4 tables in the dining room had guests. When we walked in dining room was nearly empty. About five min. later, the same member brought us our food. About a min.later, the bartender/waitress who virtually ignored us decided to come over and see how we were doing. She gave us our bill at 3:25, we paid and left. Had she quit laughing and giggling with two guys, one who wasn't even sitting; she may have decided to wait on the two seniors sitting in the corner. ----------------------- A week and a half ago, we had lunch at The Divide. One bartender/waiter was taking care of up to 15 tables, and with periodic help from the cook for serving. Old Chicago should be ashamed, as The Divide kicked some butt. The bbq hamberger was pretty good, Jayne's salad, not so much. A SALAD? NOT SO MUCH? I forgot to mention, there were a few people in the shade on the patio, but their waitress was more attentive that we could see. read more

Beer and food menu is great! Went here for the first time in 20 years on a Wednesday at 7 pm. Sat in the bar area. It took them 15 minutes to show up to take a drink order. Drink showed up 10 minutes after that. Ordered an appetizer immediately since I could see where this was going. 20 minutes later and no food yet. No sign of wait staff for at least 15 mins. No awareness from anyone on the staff that I can tell as I can see everyone is waiting. It will definitely be another 20 years before another visit. read more

Good consistency from this chain and near some of the main hotel chains if you're headed to town on business. Service was good and I enjoyed the artisan style prosciutto and mushroom pizza with a side salad. 3.5 stars really, best you will get from me if you're a chain. I always prefer some local, unique flavors but none within walking distance on this business trip. read more

Old Chicago has been one of my go-to favorite places to meet up with friends since I lived in Boulder, CO in the 80s. Each restaurant I've visited is consistent with good food, friendly service (they work exceptionally well with large groups) and a phenomenal selection of beers. Pizza is not the food love of my life, (though every time I've tried it here, it's been very tasty) but... I could live on the Italian Nachos! Pass me that platter of pasta chips, mozzarella, Italian sausage, pepperoncini, and marinara dipping sauce & keep the Newcastle Brown Ale coming... call me a happy camper!! read more

As a mother to a two month old baby I would never eat here. One of my good friends, also a new mother needed to feed her child while here. While she was breastfeeding, her server came up and actually threw a shirt on her. She stated that the serving staff, managers, and "old people" in the restaurant were offended. 1) It is a breastfeeding mothers right to feed her child anywhere at any time. 2) Throwing something at/on someone like that is assault. 3) The baby is hungry! It is unbelievable in this day and age, where mothers are encouraged to breastfeed their babies, we all know it is healthy and good for them, backwards minded people are offended. If there had been a woman come in with a low cut shirt and tiny skirt in sure she would have been treated better than this. I'm horrified. I hope other parents of babies and young children read this. I went there for dinner last night and had to wait about 25 minutes to be seated in the dining room since the bar was full. Over half of the seats in the dining room were empty and the hostess informed us that they aren't seating anyone until the 3 waitresses were caught up. We decided to leave but the hostess decided to seat us. Well the food was not the greatest. I use to enjoy going to Old Chicago but the last 2 experiences have been quite bad. I went in after the remodel and our pizza came out black and burnt. I had to find our waitress and who blamed the new oven and wanted to know what we wanted done. We finally got a pizza that wasn't burnt and then I asked if they would discount it and was told that the manager would talk with us. Finally we got it discounted but talk about bad service and food. We have a Pizza Ranch in town who has better pizza than Old Chicago. Next time I am heading to Pizza Ranch or even a frozen pizza. read more

Went to old Chicago for the 2nd time in 8 years and now I know I will never go back. We were a party of 12 including children they had 1 server for us who was great but it gets worse from here. We ordered our main course it was 3 baked spaghetti and meat ball dishes and the meat balls were not only still frozen inside and burnt on the outside the spaghetti tasted like crunchy sticks. There was 1 pizza that was also ordered and that came cold. There were salads ordered too and those came hot like it was under a warmer?. This place needs to get new management or better service. Speaking about management the manager came over and tried to explain the crappy food we received and said we will give you a discount? but guess what she only took off the 1 frozen dinner I received and a childs plate they got wrong?WHAT!!!!! the total discount was $20 woohoo. well I caution anyone going to old Chicago to not go there and go to a real establishment like Mcdonalds cause you know what you are getting. I never liked thick-crust pizzas until I had one at Old Chicago. I've been there many times in the last few years. Once, the pizza was overcooked; when I mentioned it to the waitress, she apologized and had another made right away. The manager stopped to ask if the second pizza was okay. Once I arrived an hour before opening time and the manager let me have a table to wait. (My car was in the shop, not done yet, and waiting there was much more comfortable than at the dealership.)
