Ok, so, we started with crab cakes and oysters. The oysters were East Coast oysters and I'm from NY, so I had to get them. I haven't had raw oysters in over 20 years, and these did not disappoint! They were so delicious, I ordered 4 more, but they only had one more of the one I wanted, and I happily took it. The crab cakes were good, too. So maybe we should have quit while were ahead.... It took an hour to get our meals, and when we did, I was unimpressed. Mine was slopped onto the plate, with mashed potatoes smeared on the side and the sauce dripped on sides of the inside of the rimmed plate. The potatoes looked congealed, like they had been sitting out, and they had, because the food was cold. I asked for it to be heated up, and I'm fairly convinced they microwaved it, because the plate was warm, but the food still wasn't. The steak was extremely salty, potatoes gluely, and the broccolini was bitter and woefully under seasoned. My husband offered to switch plates. He has the pasta, which was also not very good, but at least it was hot. The description said andouille sausage, but it was clearly kielbasa, and the sauce was greasy and separated. Who hired these so-called chefs? Where did they get their degree? Do they even have one? We go out to eat so rarely. I'm a fantastic cook myself, so when we go out, we want the food we order to be better than what I can make at home. Especially at $30 a plate. So, alas, they get 2 stars, for the excellent service, the delicious oysters, and the beautiful ambiance. They apologized profusely and took my horrible dinner off our bill. We are so grateful for that. We will be back for a pretzel. And more oysters.

A patio area with tables and umbrellas is to the back of the building. A small slot parlour is at the front of the building. Private parking lot with permitted spaces near the entrance. Didn't see an EV charge station. The menu is large and contains pub fare. Burgers, sandwiches, entree salads. Full bar with a few draft beers and local spirits. The restaurant is clean, our waitress was very attentive and friendly. We ordered a salad to split and she also let us know half sandwiches can be ordered (even tho it's not on the menu). An extra bowl was brought out and we divided the salad. The taco salad is huge. Plenty of everything in there. Sides of sour cream and salsa are provided with this salad and used to mix in like dressing. Tasty and filling. Those hot peppers are Hot! Very low key bar atmosphere. Staff get along well with each other and are attentive to guests. Outdoor patio seating. Comfort food.

You could tell it was all made from Whole Foods cooked in-house There was bison and elk on the menu but I didn't order any of that. It was my first time there. Next time I'll be more exploratory.

We were impressed with the steaks, but other options feel like they are being phoned in for sure. Got the bacon cheeseburger and fries and the shoestring style fries were limp and had no salt on them. They were hot, so this is just how they serve them. Burger was ok but bun wasn't toasted and the burger patty while not necessarily dry was definitely not juicy either. Another night we got the chicken fajitas. Not a large portion and was disappointed a bit as soon as they set the plate down...especially on the chicken. Vegetables were all raw and if i hadn't forked them around for awhile on the sizzling platter i would have had a combination of totally charred and totally raw veggies. None of it was seasoned. Tortillas were right off-the-shelf probably from Walmart and slightly warmed up. No sides came with it. Steaks were quite good though. Cooked broccoli was good. Garlic mashed potatoes were good but a little gummy because they use red potatoes. So...if you want a good $50-60 steak meal it's a great place to go. But if you or anyone in your party isn't feeling like a steak you'll get way better food for less at the chain places.
