This place is fast becoming my new favorite place to eat with my wife and children on a Saturday afternoon. It's worth returning not because of the service, but because of the food. I had the Cajun Chicken Sandwich with Jerk Seasoned Fries and a nice cool lemonade to wash it all down. The portions were more than I had expected and quite satisfying. One could tell this restaurant chain wasn't trying to skimp on product portion which made me feel valued allowing me my moneys worth. It isn't expensive but not too inexpensive either. My family and I ended up spending around $75 for the 4 of us. My wife and kids had the individual pizzas which were also good...well except for the Hawaiian Pizza which was too sweet. My wife described it as having had too much canned juice poured on top. Put still overall we were happy. The one criticism I have is on service. It was a slow day so not many clients. I could hear the greet staff talking as we arrived. They were "bored" and we're just hanging around talking. We were barely acknowledged upon arrival, and ignored when we left. The server who waited on us was the exception to otherwise poor customer service. His name was Brian and he was attentive, polite, friendly and as a result received a big tip. A favorite over the years, for co-worker after work gatherings, good-bye parties, St. Patrick's Day. Great service, good prices, I can't speak to how Chicago their pizza is, because I've never actually had "Chicago pizza" What I can say, they have a good variety on the menu and large portions to share. Service has always been good. Locations are a bit uniquely placed, but worth it, if you're in the area. Have ate here for years with friends. Large selection of tap beers, lots of wide screen TV's, great for watching sports. Very good, consistent quality pizza. We especially like Chicago 7 (thin crust) pizza with one substitution trading a veggie for pepperoni (just to make it a bit more healthy). Always have enough pizza (large) to take some home for another day. Other menu items available, sandwiches and so on. They are good also, but usually order pizza. Called in a caprese salad and deep dish Italian Grinder pizza to go. The salad had three thin slices of pale tomato with two small slices of mozzarella. The pizza was ordered with no peppers...instead we got no red sauce and the toppins were burnt. Since we got it to go we couldn't send either one back to the kitchen. A total disappointment. Pep rolls are always good, but the service at this location was awful. Our server was nice, but the kitchen and bartenders were slow and it wasn't packed at all. We waited almost 25 minutes for our pep rolls, and getting refills on beers took way too long. read more

My favorite casual dining in Eden Prairie. I've had most of the items on the menu and have never been disappointed. The Italian Nachos are one of the best appetizers I've had anywhere, and big enough to almost be a meal for two. The pizza is very good and the paninis are fantastic. I wish they offered a traditional calzone with ricotta but the ones they do have are all good. But the real highlight is the always rotating beer selection. No matter what you like or are in the mood for, they've got you covered. I love trying new beers and every time I go there they have something I haven't tried before. Wow, what's up with the service?? We were seated immediately but it took 15 mins for someone to bring us menus and take drink orders. During that time the male server in are area looked at us many times (with a scowl on his face), but did not acknowledge our presence. When a female server finally came over to us he yelled, "oh are you going to get that?" Fifteen minutes later we were brought our drinks and had our food order taken. It then took 30mins to get our food. So it took us an hour from when we walked in to get food brought to us. I'd have understood if it was crazy busy, but the place was less than 1/4 full. I felt like the employees were annoyed we showed up and did their best to ignore as a result. A simple "I'm sorry about the wait" or "someone will be right with you" would've gone a long way. read more

I was just there on Christmas Eve. Every time I go to Old Chicago I get the wrong order, eventually I get the right one. This last time, I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich with bacon and I got a grilled mac & cheese, eventually I got my grilled cheese and bacon. It was really krusty and it was more like a grilled bacon with cheese then a grilled cheese with bacon, my Dr. Pepper was even flat. read more

Coworkers and I stopped in for lunch today here and overall had a good time. We were quickly greeted, the food arrived fast, and the service was nearly perfect. I had lunch salad and a pizza. Known for their delicious deep dish pizza, Old Chicago has other great menu items as well. Found their burgers and lasagna to be excellent. Their beer selection is also unmatched with taps of mostly every single beer you can think of. It's a little spendy, but you get what you pay for. The parking situation isn't the greatest since it shares space with an apartment complex, and a watering hole across the street. read more

The reason why I come here is specifically for the pan dish made Chicago 7 style. I have not been to an OC in a long time like 5 to 7 yrs. and missed this pan. It still tastes as good as it did when I had then and the first time 20 years ago when I lived in another state. The pizza I stated is great. The vegetables are a fresh grilled oven crispy on top, the marina taste flavorful fresh, the sausage is just the right size and juicy, with the pepperoni being on key. I like there pan because for some reason their pan crust does not make me sick. I have worked at a few different pizza joints in my 20's and those pans grease never sat easy. I give it three stars because there are a lot of other things I could rip on. Mostly likely I ordered the fried pickles. They were suppose to be flash fried in beer batter. They were the totally opposite. The batter was not beer and over fried. And then they had an off duty employee who sat and hung there the whole time I was there, taking up the bartenders time. Which would delay her in her job and my orders. And I had to over hear way to much stuff. And then the GM would come out and it was weird to watch. read more

The food was amazing and delicious. Our waitress Samantha was very nice and helpful. The wait time was 20 minutes. Which was acceptable. Nice seating. We Come 2 times a month. Very busy. My hungry 7 year old couldn't even take more than 2 bites of his pizza, it was that bad. Had to ask 3 times for the side items to be brought. Just had a group get together for 2 adult birthday's. There was twelve of us. Nice setup for a group. Server needed a little more knowledge to what the bar had to serve, but if that's the worst thing I can say, that speaks for itself. On the brighter side, server did a very nice job being there was seven checks. Now about the food, I only tried a couple of things but both of them were very very good. 1930's Chicago??? - they don't serve Blacks??? I'm a mom and we were spending Christmas in Duluth. We all decided to go to old chicago to eat. We walked in and the manager seated anoth couple ahead of us he came back to us and didn't say Hi or Welcome..I said 6 and could we sit up on the upper level he walked us up to a table and seated us. We waited 13 min and no one came over to us....make eye contract and a smile or even acknowledge we were there. The waitress had to see us because she was serving another table not 7 to 10 feet from us. 2 other tables were seated after us. My oldest and his girlfriend said "oh wow mom the waitress walked over and took the drink order I said "after we have been here this long not even to be GREETED" we are leaving. We were at the front door and the waitress finally came saying excuse me ...excuse me miss, I turned around and looked at her. She stated I was going to give you a "FREE APPETIZER" like that would bring us back in no I'm sorry I'm really busy?? I said ...."no we will go across the street where they aren't in the 1930's old chicago. I have to be honest as a white woman I guess I had never felt racism...not being validated not being seen. I felt bad for my children who I have taught to be respectful of everyone no matter of color. I will never or my kids or anyone I know or come in contract with , tell them to eat there. In fact I will and have even told the story to people I work with which is at the hospital...and the Restraunt I waitress at and hopefully they pass it on to others as well!!! Horrible!!!
