I've ordered a few times in the past. My order was always correct and the sandwiches are delicious. Came most recently and ordered 2 breakfast sandwiches. Between the size of the bagels, the taste and the look of the sandwiches, it's always perfect. They give you a decent amount of lox and cream cheese and honestly, you can't beat their prices compared to Howard Beach Bagel. Definitely slipping over here ... Our BLT's were a disgusting.... all Burt & Chopped up bacon on both out sandwiches ... Globs of mayo, one piece of lettuce and one slice of tomato on both sandwiches.... Like What the heck ?!?!?! We been going here since they opened many years ago... the original Lil China man amd his son were awesome back in the day ... now the new regime just ain't cutting it ... "Toasted enough" he asked, holding the Everything above his head "oh yes" I replied enthusiastically. And let me just tell you that the jalapeno cream cheese was super tricked out, modified into a spicy blaze when you caught one just right. The Everything bagel stumbled out of the starting gate but couldn't seem to recover as the outside track was tough to where the toasting couldn't loosen it, nor get to submit even a little. This place is the best!! I had a delay for my flight to Hawaii and I needed something to bring back plus a bite to eat and I'm so glad I found this place. They had the sweetest ladies working there takin care of me and my father. I highly recommend coming to this spot and making it a regular place to come to, I know I would if I lived here. We had the bacon, egg, and cheese on a bagel, and my dad got a turkey, lettuce tomato on a flat bagel. I walked in and oh my god did it felt like a heat wave hit me in my face. That is so wrong that customers have to sit in the heat like that and the employees have to work in that. If you go in any other store on the boulevard right now the air condition is on and it feels nice, I don't know how the owner thinks it's okay to keep it like that. There are very few places that make the bagels fresh and on-site. This is one of them. I often come here with friends and family for breakfast. There's alot of repeat customers and people who frequent the place for both breakfast and lunch. The staff is great and very friendly. Coffee is always hot and usually fresh and you make it yourself (which I prefer) but if I get a bad cup they will brew a fresh pot of coffe on the spot. read more

A shame. This place went downhill from what it once was. I go in there for an egg sandwich.. So I see a special on the menu for a mushroom, cheese, eggs sandwich for $4.50 on either a Bagel, Bialy or Roll... Not too bad, so I order two sandwhiches, one on a croissant and one on a flat Bagel... The Order comes out and the big Lady says $12?! I'm like "The Sign says $4.50??" She has the balls to say you ordered off the menu with a croissant and a flat bagel... $1 ea extra Plus tax.. I was like "Really??" You are going to lose a customer for charging $3 extra for no perceived difference in value? They could care less.. morale seems low and when places start scam nickel and diming the actual customers that patronize them it's usually the Sign of the end coming. First time here the other day. I met a friend for a coffee and bagel. All the bagels looked fresh and the whole wheat bagel was good. I kept it simple just with some low fat cream cheese but they had a good selection of different types of cream cheese. With lox, with bacon and a few others. What a shame what this place once was. Great neighborhood bagel a store is what it used to be. I will not even step foot in there anymore, I seen it slowly go downhill but I always gave them the benefit of the doubt because the employees are very nice. The owner at the register is a different story, always gets the wrong prices which is ridiculous. Be careful she will try and over charge you and make it like it was a mistake so if you're not paying attention youre walking out paying at least 5 dollars more than you should. I got a dozen bagels there and some cream cheese. I get home open the bag and got bagels that are hard as a rock and bagels that are soft. When I called they said the bagels were from this morning like if I'm stupid, it's 930am and I have gotten bagels at 3 pm softer than that. I will definitely find somewhere else to go. read more

This place is pretty good. I work in the area and stop by pretty frequently for lunch (1x per month?). The bagels are good, but not the best I've ever had in New York. I like their wraps and sandwiches, but sometimes they taste like they miss the mark. For instance, the Hearty Protein wrap (or something to that effect) is good, doesn't make me regret my decision for take out, but it could use something flavor-wise - a condiment? Also the service is kind of slow, which isn't bad because they are making everything to order, but if I'm in a rush it definitely affects my decision whether or not to come here.
