This was my first visit to Login Cabin Bar & Grill. It was a Saturday at 12:30pm. I went through the front door which leads to the bar where I took a seat. I ordered the Cabin Sausage Sandwich. I enjoyed my meal while watching the Tampa Bay/Detroit baseball game on the televisions and listening to Oasis and farmers talking about work. The sandwich was soggy and was bad as a finger food item. Looking at the size of the patty that overextended the bun by quite a lot, I assume it was meant to be eaten with a knife and fork which of course I used. Funky place with a lot of vibe! Loud & entertaining place to sit at the bar - cool music playing while football was on. This place was packed on a Sunday afternoon! The wine pour was fabulous! The steamed clams were large & delicious - cooked perfectly! Grilled shrimp app - very tasty! Slice of pizza with mushrooms & onions - yuk! The slice was loaded up with all the goodies but it made for a very heavy, wet pizza that was gross. I saw people eating it plain - perhaps that is the way to go! The staff has always been super friendly and accommodating to me. The wait can be long at times. I always find the pizza to be consistently good. There is an outdoor patio if the weather is nice. Okay, get ready for a crazy story. My wife and I went in around 8:30 pm for a meal. We sat and waited for about 30 minutes before ordering (service was slow but it was the server's 3rd day so it was understandable). Tap water is not provided and there were no prices for the specials or drinks. We ordered from the menu a NY Strip Steak platter medium rare and boneless wings. After 20 minutes I noticed a sign with prices on the wings. I asked the server who said that's just a specials list and the price on the menu was correct. When my wife received her steak it was very well done with no flavor. My wife requested it remade. The second came out very well done again. My wife refused both steaks after a small bite of each. We asked for a check and when it arrived we were charged for the steak and the wings. The steak was $5 more than what was on the menu (which we refused) and the wings were $2 more than on the menu. I approached the server and told her we are not paying for the steak meal we did not consume and the price on the chicken was wrong. She informed me that her manager was not there but coming soon. At this point, we had already been there for 1 1/2 hours. John, who introduced himself but never gave his position, arrived. My wife explained what happened and how it had no flavor. His reply, "well, it's a NY strip." He eventually agreed that if his kitchen make it incorrectly twice and that's on him, and he'll remove it. He then proceeded point his finger at my wife, demand he speak (we were letting him speak) and incredibly condescending. We then discussed that the price on the menu was different than what we were charged and he said, "We can't afford to print new menus all the time. You think you would be charged a lower price when there's a higher price there?" I replied with, "No, I expect to be charged the price that's on the menu." He said we would have to pay the higher price and to "do us both a favor and never come back." I stood up, handed him the chicken leftovers and said, "No, I won't pay that. I'll pay what was on the menu." and proceeded to the door. He followed and got his camera ready (to take a photo of my license plate). He continued with his demands, finger pointing, verbal abuse, and threatened to call the cops. I gave him my plate number as I was walking. In the parking lot I looked at him again and said, "I will pay what was on the menu. I even asked for clarification which your server even admitted to." He replied, "chicken went up! Are you saying the $2 is really going to break you?" Again, I said I would pay what was on the menu. He continued all sorts of verbal abuse, tried to accuse us of walking out, threatened to call the cops, all sorts of stuff. I asked for the check with the menu price. He demanded I return inside the building after he told me to never return. I refused. He called a staff member inside to bring the updated check. I was nervous to give him more than the bill itself. I could see him taking the money and saying we paid while refusing to give proper change. My wife looked for change in the car (bill was 13.81 after tax) while I stood there with him. I asked him what the issue really was to which he again berated and verbally abused me. I asked him if he's the manager and he replied, "I just wash dishes." I asked him for change for a 10 and I would walk to the door but not go inside the building. His response, "are you sure you have enough for the rest?" As I stood there with another 10 and a 20 in my hand. He demanded to see what was in my hand. I refused. We walked to the door, he went inside and got the change. I handed him the remaining money and he asked if I, "really need the 12 cents (it should have been 19 cents) because I wouldn't want you to not have enough for the toll." I said, "no" and walked away. In hindsight, I should have said, "the price of chicken went up. Spend it wisely." Someone from the restaurant followed us to our home, too. read more

Just got back from the Log Cabin. Ordered the prime rib special and was very disappointed. It first came out undercooked, so much so that I couldn't even cut it. I had them cook it to medium. Once I started eating it I found it had the normal fat around the edges but a lot of the interior was pure fat. I couldn't even begin to finish it. I showed the server and sh we took it back to the kitchen. I asked to have the price reduced. She brought back the answer which was "We can't do anything because of that's the way our prime ribs come in". They posted a picture a while back showing a normal prime rib, very little interior fat. My wife's burger and side of pierogies was good and our server did a good job. If we return there, I certainly will steer clear of the $32 prime rib special. We were on our way to a local favorite spot for lunch and passed by. Lots of bikes in the lot, so we stopped. We shared a table with a random couple outside. Everyone was friendly and happy. Service was fast and friendly. Burgers are HUGE. Reputation for the pizza is excellent (but we couldn't fit leftovers on the bike, so we opted for burgers. Disappointed to see some of the reviews since my wife and I had a great experience here two weeks ago. We hike "The Gap" often and pass this place to and from home. We have a dog that we bring hiking, so we are always looking for a place with outdoor seating. We sat out back under the tent with our puppy and the staff were very nice, even bringing him a bowl of water. We had a pizza with some veggies. The pizza was very large with a decent amount of toppings. I would say the pizza and the value were both very good. The waitress was pleasant and attentive. I came to the Old Log Cabin Inn when i was on a long motorcycle ride with about 8-10 guys. After riding for a long time this place was a god send. We ended up ordering a bunch of pizzas and sat outside. The pizza was good and the outside area is pretty nice, we ended up getting caught in a 5-10 minute down poor but i guess it was better then having it happen while riding. The staff was friendly and prices reasonable If i was in the area i would stop back in for a bit, but i dont think i would go out of my way to come here as its a decent hike. read more

I have been going to this restaurant for the last ten years. The log cabin was only opened Friday through Sunday. The pizza was outstanding and salads too. In fact on Sunday evenings in the last few years, on occasion, I would pick up an antipasto salad and a large pizza with extra cheese and sausage, and bring to a good friend who was a retired nj state police officer, who was a evening guard at yards creek resevoir in Blairstown. We always enjoyed the pizza and salad over my visits over the past 5 years. Even when I dined at the Old Cabin indoors or outdoors or at the bar , it was a great pleasure to look forward to, and eating the food on a weekend night!!! About a year ago I heard that the owner Linda (blonde) was looking for a buyer as she even asked me. Well, Linda did find a buyer and sold the place. I have been there several times in the past 3 months. Quite a difference, staff still nice, but the food has gone downhill, I'm sad to say. I ordered a sausage sandwich old log cabin style last fall and I thought I was eating a jimmy dean frozen party. Awful. I never had a sausage patty in a typical sausage sandwich in a roll. It tasted terrible. I happened by the log cabin in January 2018 and had a pizza which was acceptable, but not like in the past. Even a waitress told me the pizza was made by the same guys, however, some of the menu had changed. No kidding!!! I ate again there last night at 8:30 pm April 29th. I met a friend at the local truck stop in the Delaware Water Gap as he was parking his bus. I have taken him there one other time in the past, however, last night the pizza was awful as there was too much cheese, I don't think any Red sauce and just was not anywhere near the pizza of the past! We have been going here for years and love the pizza. Biggest and best pies we've ever seen! Potato skins are also great. Last time we went however, we asked for water and were brought bottled water. We thought something must be wrong with the tap water. When the bill came they charged us $3.00 each for a total of $9.00 for water that costs about $.50. We used to enjoy eating here, but we will never be returning again. Unfortunately, they have no tolerance for people with food allergies, sensitivities, or special diets. My son cannot eat cheese, so we ordered him a pizza with only sauce and basil. At first they got the order wrong and brought out a pizza with cheese, arguing with us saying that is what we ordered. When they went back to make it correctly, we had to wait such a long time. Then on the bill, we were charged $24 for a "specialty" pizza, plus an additional $3 for the basil. At any pizza place we go to, I always order the same pizza for my son and I have never been treated so rudely or charged so much for ordering a pizza with less ingredients. Came here for pizza. I ate outside because it was nice out. I know that they had a bar inside. There is a huge parking lot as well. The outside area was small, you were sitting on picnic tables, but it was still nice. Our waitress was really really nice - no complaints. The wait for our food was short. The pizza was really good. It was definitely up there for pizza. Don't expect anything fancy when you come here. The sauce to cheese ratio was good and my dad and I ate half the pizza which will tell you something about how good it was. We got sausage on one half, and the sausage is the best sausage you'll have on pizza. This is part of the reason we came here. This place is apparently a huge bike stop. So that is why we happened upon Old Log Cabin Inn. The building use to be an inn and you can tell. It is pretty small but despite its size they have a full bar and outside seating. The seating that is available is plentiful and their are multiple locations to enter. We went in through the bar, the "main dining are" is so dark, it's actually pretty hard to see anything inside. This is also where the bathrooms are located. Two small stalls, very old and desperately needs to be updated. The menu was pretty extensive and they offer gluten free which is so great! I was honestly so surprised that they offered gluten free options considering this is a biker stop! I do not have any serious restrictions so I am able to eat at a place like this that has a shared oven. The pizza is a bit pricey considering it is normal pizza, but it is really good! The gluten free pizza is considerably smaller - about a personal size. There is a small pizza and a large pizza you can order as well as a huge list of toppings! They also have many other food options. Our server was super nice and very attentive. The only complaint I really have is that the servings are needs to be updated - I'm not sure if we received cheap plastic outdoor plates because we were outside, but you can tell just how worn they are, which wasn't pleasant to look at, let alone, eat from. Our first time here this evening and we began with a salad and corn nuggets. Salad was fresh and corn nuggets came hot out of the deep fryer. They were golden brown and had a delicious taste to them. We order a large pizza 1/2 with sausage and 1/2 plain. When they say large the pizza is large. We took home five slices as we could only eat three. So sad, have bragged about this great place for years, they made the best pizza, quality ingredients, perfectly made and cooked. If it works, don't change it. Ordered specialty pizza with goat cheese and black olives (our "usual"), waiter came back to tell us they didn't have goat cheese. We ordered other toppings, pizza arrived over baked, dry and flavorless. I asked for a little side cup of tomato sauce (to make it a little more palatable), that was served cold, also tasteless.I can only guess that they have changed suppliers and the quality just isn't as good.
