There were three of us. We ordered the Pittsfield poutine, St. Louis ribs plate with coleslaw & baked beans, burnt ends plate with potato salad & Mac n cheese, and a brisket plate and jalapeño cheddar sausage. The service was incredibly friendly and professional. Love the music and appreciated the cleanliness of both the main room and bathrooms. Highly recommend the brisket and baked beans! Yum-o!

Raspberry Chipotle wings. Better than any chain. Smokey flavor but fries to perfection! And I'm fussy about wings.

Being from Georgia BBQ is part of my DNA and I've eaten from New Mexico to the Carolinas, right up to Vermont. The meats are solid! You can't go wrong. We tried ribs, brisket, pulled pork, and wings. We loved the ribs and wings, I wish they offered a bucket of bones. Like half a rack of ribs and 8-10 wings. Just a bucket of bones The sides are good but not my personal favorite. I like potato salad with dill pickle and mustard. Everyone likes their potato salad different. The Mac was cold by the time we got home to eat it so it might be better hot. The sweet tea is solid but I don't think they know the baking soda trick we southerners use. I'd love to see some "seasonal additions". Like strawberry shortcake or watermelon in the summer as desserts. Fresh corn on the cob, smoked and could be turned into elote or esquites. Winter could see some smoked squash. Maybe partner with a bakery for some apple pie or tarts, sweet potato pie for winter desserts. Edit to add could you imagine a regular or sweet potato smoked and topped with brisket or pulled pork?? Also sell the tea by the gallon or in the summer offer half tea half lemonade. That's just my 2 cents. Overall good food. The staff were super sweet, like southern sweet. We will certainly be back.

Excellent! Sausage and ribs had so much flavor. Baked beans were excellent. Overall very excellent.

    Mac n cheesey goodness

We were passing through and saw that this place had high reviews so we picked up food for dinner. It truly surprised me how good all the food was. Tenderrrr ribs, fall off the bone type. Super. Moist cornbread and the perfect creaminess and saltiness to their mac n cheese. The garlic parm wings were crispy and flavored to their perfection--haven't had these type of wings with high marks in a while. Old man Jeff was better than expected, even with the high reviews already!

Absolutely fantastic BBQ. A must stop in the Berkshires. We did take out before, but we just ate in the restaurant. The food is outstanding and service friendly

Looove this place. Everything is good, and they're super-nice. Basically the opposite of the Old Forge.

We decided to try this place one day for dinner since it changed hands into a 'Jamaican'…read morerestaurant a couple years ago. Formerly The Lantern, still a bar vibe/a bit dark inside. We both got the jerk chicken with greens. While we finished our dinner and it tasted good; I have several specific impressions and suggestions for improvement. First of all, both of our dinners could have arrived much hotter. They were more like "well warmed" in a microwave than truly hot- so I assume that's how they typically do it there. We were hungry enough not to send it back to be 'heated up' more -but they should be aware of how hot their food should be when presented to customers. Second, we love Jamaican food- goat curry/jerk chicken/oxtails, greens, etc. This chicken was seasoned + tasty; but the chicken honestly tasted like BBQ chicken much more than the jerk chicken I've had in any other restaurants. Finally- and in the end this was the worst issue, the gal who was our waitress either had never done a waitress job before, or was so poorly trained at this establishment that she literally had no idea what she should be doing/noticing/taking care of. At various points, this was frustrating (she didn't check on us at all), didn't seem to know if we needed more water/napkin,etc. mainly because she just didn't walk by the table/or stand back keeping a watchful eye on her table. At certain points, I heard her boss talking to her and telling her what to do next- but clearly she didn't even have a basic concept of what she was supposed to be doing. I waited tables a lot thru college and eventually I felt sorry for her lack of training in a job where you clearly represent the business. But, we were the only people in there for dinner, only 1 person drinking in the bar besides us. It was just unacceptable. We won't return-but would love to find good Jamaican food somewhere in the region. PS It was several months ago when we ate there, hopefully staff is consistently better trained now.

A nice addition to the neighborhood that offers something a little different. We ordered the oxtail…read moremeal, which was tasty. My only complaint is the portion size -- there was a lot of rice but very little cabbage and oxtail meat. The space is nicely decorated, and the service was friendly.

Mixed reviews from the family about this restaurant leads me to change my rating from a 5 to a 3. The restaurant was able to accommodate our family of 14 and serve us with ease and speed which was a plus! Easy parking in a lot down the block which is free on evenings and weekends. Our server was lovely and helpful. I'll try somewhere else next time.

I wish I could give a better score, because I thought the service and ambience were both excellent…read more Sadly, the food left me wanting. It was all edible, but there were problems with every single thing we ordered. We started with the marinated mushroom & sausage flatbread: one of the better items and fairly tasty with a tomato sauce base, could have used a tart element like a balsamic drizzle to wake it up a bit. My husband got the Korean bbq burger, which at $27 was honestly a bit insane and doubly so when it wasn't good. There's not a single thing that was wrong, the whole conception is an epic fail. A beef burger should not have an intense taste of soy. Sorry, harsh but true. The exorbitant price is insult to injury. The ham and cheese croquettes should never have been offered with the cinnamon sugar dusting. Another bizarre pairing that makes no sense in your mouth and adds nothing. The dijonnaise was good if a bit mild... amp up the savory flavor and put more ham in the mix with a touch more salt please. Finally, the Public Salad was a good base but needs a bit of a vinegar component to make it sing. I'd recommend red wine vinegar, just a small splash in the dressing. Overall enjoyed it and the chicken was adequately moist. Thank you for having us.
