10/18/25 second visit. I said to the owner that we were here for 7 days and came to Olde Forge two times. This is certainly the place to hit while in the Berkshires. This is the old world tavern feel. I love the entrance with the brick walls and saloon doors to the dining. The bar I'd loaded with patrons and you can see all the beer steins hanging above head. Tonight I started with their delicious maple old fashioned! Then I ordered their onion soup....delicious. We also ordered the nachos which were per her as well. I asked Ashley our waitress what the signature dish was, she said the wings so we ordered a dozen. They were outstanding and delicious, crispy! For dinner I got their delicious burger with bacon and cheddar and fries, great stuff. My friends had the pork shoulder which they said was delicious and looked tender. My wife had the butter buttered chicken sandwich which She enjoyed. Again, this is a must hit spot. Go early and catch the sunset on the porch! Ashley was an awesome waitress and very friendly. 10/13/25 We had an awesome dinner at Olde Forge. Jessica our waitress took great care of us and her service was spot on. It's been a few days since we were there so I don't remember all the dishes, my apologies. I do regret the Mac n cheese was delicious and creamy! The quesadilla was great as well. My glazed steak was spicy and delicious, very tender. We will be back before heading back to NY. Highly recommended!

4 stars for the food and service. Extra 1 star because one of us is a huge fan of Chimay beer and this place serve a Chimay on tap. Our server were polite and attentive. Food came pretty quickly. The wings and the mac n' cheese were pretty good. Definitely worth stopping by.

More bar Sorry for the ceiling view but was editing out the customers sitting there

This is my first time here. We are in town to take care of a few things and staying at the Wyndham pretty close and our front desk staff told us about the Olde Forge. The food was great! I ordered what was called Etoufee. Never heard of it before. It was sausage, chicken, and shrimp all in a spicy sauce and some steamed white rice. I really enjoyed this meal. We did have 4 adults and 3 kids in our party and it took quite a while for our food to come out. Also took a while for drink refills. Not sure if they were busy or just don't typically have a larger party dine there. All in all we really enjoyed the food. We did enter from the bottom level. Not sure if that is a customer entrance or not. Once again we are not from around here haha

Are you looking for a light bite to eat? This is not the place for you. And that's okay! The folks here are genuinely nice people who are able keep the wait list in their head as more and more people line up during the dinner rush. The bar seems like it's been here forever with personal beer steins hanging from the rafters. And did I mention the root beer comes straight from the tap too? This is like the cool local watering hole that every place in Brooklyn strives to be... but it's for real. Enjoy the hearty pub fare... and appreciate this gem of a roadside stop on your next trip to the Berkshires. (And leave your attitude about waiting in a line at the door.)

Soooo mean. The owner, that is. Maybe some day he'll sell the place and it'll be worth coming here, the food isn't bad.

It was all edible, but there were problems with every single thing we ordered. We started with the marinated mushroom & sausage flatbread: one of the better items and fairly tasty with a tomato sauce base, could have used a tart element like a balsamic drizzle to wake it up a bit. My husband got the Korean bbq burger, which at $27 was honestly a bit insane and doubly so when it wasn't good. There's not a single thing that was wrong, the whole conception is an epic fail. A beef burger should not have an intense taste of soy. Sorry, harsh but true. The exorbitant price is insult to injury. The ham and cheese croquettes should never have been offered with the cinnamon sugar dusting. Another bizarre pairing that makes no sense in your mouth and adds nothing. The dijonnaise was good if a bit mild... amp up the savory flavor and put more ham in the mix with a touch more salt please. Finally, the Public Salad was a good base but needs a bit of a vinegar component to make it sing. I'd recommend red wine vinegar, just a small splash in the dressing. Overall enjoyed it and the chicken was adequately moist. Thank you for having us.

An absolute hidden gem in New Lebanon!…read more OMG, what an adorable little cafe! We were in New Lebanon and looking for somewhere to eat around 7:30 PM. Being a small town, there weren't many options still open, so we called to see if they were still serving dinner. The sweetest lady answered and told us their kitchen closed at 8:00 PM, but they would still be happy to take us. We're SO glad we called! The moment we walked in, we loved the place. It was beautifully decorated, with fresh wildflowers they had picked themselves, the tables were set so nicely, and everything had such a warm, cozy, welcoming feel. We were seated immediately and had ice water at the table right away. The service from beginning to end was seriously top-notch. Then the wonderful lady helping us, and I'm so sorry we didn't get her name, brought out freshly baked mini blueberry muffins. OH. MY. GOODNESS. They were DELICIOUS. That was the moment we looked at each other and knew dinner was going to be good. And it absolutely was! Our daughter ordered an omelette, my wife had the steak frites, and I ordered the chicken piccata. Every single dish was delicious. My wife also ordered a blueberry cosmo, which she loved! At this point we were completely stuffed, but there was no way we were leaving without trying dessert. We ordered the red velvet cake AND the chocolate croissant bread pudding with vanilla ice cream. Did we need both? Absolutely not. Did we finish them anyway? Pretty much! The food was just THAT good. We kept telling ourselves we were full and somehow kept taking another bite. What really made this place special, though, was the hospitality. We came in close to closing time, and instead of ever making us feel rushed or like an inconvenience, they welcomed us with kindness and gave us a wonderful dinner experience. That says a lot about a place. 5 stars all the way. If you're anywhere near New Lebanon, do yourself a favor and stop here. Places like this deserve all the support and business they can get. Great food, beautiful atmosphere, and genuinely wonderful people. We will DEFINITELY be back, and next time we're coming for breakfast!

I picked up a matcha latte here, and my friend catered a delicious brunch from this spot!…read more I appreciated that the matcha didn't come pre-sweetened. It could've been whisked/blended a bit better (separated a bit), but I was happy with it overall. Regarding the catering, I was a big fan of the avocado toast (super fresh and creamy and nice flavor) and tasty muffins (I enjoyed the blueberry muffin.) It takes a bit to make drinks / food, so be sure to allocate some time--this isn't one of the factory-like cafes that churn out drinks / whip out ready-made food. The interior is cute and has assorted offerings of general foods/supplies that were fun to peruse.

This may be the smallest diner we've visited (one of them, at least) but it makes up for that in quality and attention to the customers. We got 2 eggs over easy, one with bacon, one with sausage, home fries, and toast. The eggs were cooked perfectly (they look more done in the photo but were nicely runny) and the bacon was crisp and smoky.
