Very friendly staff in a huge refurbished store front makes this destination a great place for family and friends. We only had time to snack on the hummus which was creamy and delicious.

Old Mulehouse has a nostalgia-meets finger-licking-good cuisine in this eatery in quaint, downtown Jasper. Our daughter enjoyed a beer flight and we shared a very tasty, spicy pimiento chicken sandwich and a pimiento brisket Reuben. The temp/taste of both were spot-on and the extra crispy, hot fries were delicious. Worth the drive (especially if you combine antiquing in Jasper.)

Neighborhood tavern vibe out in Jasper/North GA. Love the drive out here, and love the food even more. Service is small town gracious and always properly attentive. I ordered the chicken caprese sandwich with tomato basil soup and my husband got the bourbon bacon burger with grits. Both delicious, and not a long wait for food (or table). We have sat on patio both times we have come, and were able to enjoy some local live music both times too. It was chilly out so we sat under a heater and I always really appreciate when businesses have those outside so that you can still enjoy the fresh air over a nice meal. Patio is pet friendly as well.

This Place was awesome! The inside of this place looked like an old factory. The food was amazing.

Stopped in at the Old Mulehouse with some friends after leaving the Jeep Fest in Jasper. We caught them at just before 3pm, so it was on the edge of Sunday Brunch and Sunday dinner menus, so the server waffles a bit between what to do. After the slight awkwardness, we did a mix between the 2 menus amongst the 4 of us. When the smoked salmon hash arrived for me, it smelled great and tasted great. It felt like it needed a little something on the side to complete the dish, but it was good enough. The other dishes looked good, and I really liked the abundance of fries on their plates. The industrial atmosphere inside was unique and appealing. Unfortunately, the spiral ductwork above the table was sweating, and I was getting a drop on my shirt and head about every 30 seconds; kind of a pain, but I just dealt with it for whatever reason. I do recommend stopping in to check these guys out, but they could use a little bit of work to move this establishment up the scale. JM

I went to this place 3 weeks ago and just had to go back. This time I had the trout entree. The trout tasted great. The ginger carrots tasted so good. I really didn't think the combo would taste good but it surprised me. The grits were nice and creamy. The server was great. The place is well decorated.

This place was so fun and the food was amazing. We sat on the nice patio and there was a live music situation happening which people seem to enjoy. The server was really cool looking to you. I enjoyed his little style. He enjoyed it so much we went back the next day for brunch.

Super cool restaurant & event space!! Great bar, cold drinks & most staff smile. Had to wait just a few for our patio table, so got drinks at that bar to start. 5 adult beverages was around $45. Sat on the cute patio (wish I had a pic). Relaxed & enjoyed my company. We were guests, and our family said they come all the time- They love it! Oh, my son was here before too & liked it a lot. Food was really good! I had fish & chips (no pic). Fish could have been seasoned a little more, but lite & delicious!! The FRIES are amazing!!! My guys got a grilled brisket sandwich & my sister-in-law got a salad & Gyro- VERY GOOD said everyone!! I see they have event space. I'd rent if needed & lived closer!! Parking may be a walk- lots all around, but not on property. A cute town setting. Do some shopping when you are finished with your great meal. I'd love to go back when in town!! I'm satisfied!

I'm not one for tomato sauce and chicken but the chicken parmesan is phenomenal. They hire local musicians which is just a cherry on top.

A very charming unassuming little boutique store front with some tee shirts and souvenirs when you first walk in. Then you whisper the magic password and the gentleman escorts you through a narrow little doorway, a vestibule and door then opens to a perfectly recreated 1920's prohibition speakeasy. The motif is perfect from vintage art work on the wall to the hanging chandeliers and the big leather couches and chairs all in a very dark lighting. There is one way glass so you can see whoever comes into the store ( police or significant other) but they can't see you! Lol. And you can't leave through the front where you came in. You are guided to the back of the establishment to the back door which lets out into a narrow gangway then to the alley. I think Al Capone himself was going to jump out at me. lol. The bartenders/ mixologists further raise your experience by providing enjoyable banter and well made cocktails. Espresso Martini's and a Donut Raspberry Cheesecake were the drinks and dessert of choice and both were amazing. If you wind up going I suggest for you gals, a flapper dress with the beads and sequins with a cocoon coat and some tee strap heels. Guys your fanciest fedora and some two tone lace up oxfords. Either way you're gonna have a Roaring 20's great time. Not real big but we made a reservation a day ahead. I loved the Appetizers - shrimp and jalapeños - crispy with a sauce kinda like bang bang shrimp, but better. Brother had a half wedge salad and loved it. The fried Brussels were very tasty with Parmesan cheese and bacon with a Balsamic drizzle. No bread served with the meal, but it wasn't missed. I ordered Blackened salmon with couscous. It was good, cooked properly, but when I tasted my sisters trout, I wished I had ordered it. Panko crusted with collard greens. It was the best. Crispy on the outside, tender on inside and not a real fishy taste. All had a bit of a balsamic juices had seeped into all from the collard greens, which was good but prefer more savory flavors. But enjoyed it immensely. The Roasted chicken was just okay with mashed potatoes. But the best thing of the evening was the apple bread pudding with salted Carmel Ice Cream (Not pictured). A great meal in the North Georgia Mountain area.

I would like to say I planned the perfect date, but as some of the best things in life, this was just an impromptu visit to cap off an already great evening. Outside of being on the rooftop, the bar itself is upscale yet approachable, service was fast and friendly. Being a bit of a self engrandized home bartender I'm a bit critical when out of my home lab, but their Smoked Old Fashioned wasn't bad. ("Wasn't bad" really means very good.") While I don't love the prices and hate paying a cover charge, when you throw in live music, a great vibe, and a view, I can't really complain. The owner made an announcement that whoever tipped the band $10 would get a free drink, and since most drinks were over $15 I thought that was cool on many levels. Will definitely be back to The Rooftop!

Unfortunately, that excitement disappeared pretty quickly. We waited approximately 10 minutes without being acknowledged. A woman standing behind us who had arrived after we did was approached by the bartender and had her order taken first. I'm not going to speculate about the reason, but sitting there and watching it happen certainly didn't make us feel welcome. At that point I decided not to order anything because I already had doubts about staying. My wife ordered a glass of white wine that was supposed to be a 6 oz pour. When it arrived, we both questioned the amount. I even noticed other glasses of wine at a nearby table that appeared to have considerably larger pours. I've included a photo so people can judge for themselves. We weren't looking for special treatment because it was our anniversary. We simply expected the same basic level of acknowledgement and service as everyone else. It's unfortunate because we came in genuinely excited to try a local place and celebrate together. The atmosphere has potential, but our first impression of the service made us feel like we'd be better off spending our anniversary somewhere else.
