Has a very nice lunch today - in the mood for Mexican food. Ordered the #22 lunch, with beef, chicken and Shrimp over rice with cheese dip and tortillas and a beer Very tender and delicious! Took over half home for later so a win win! Prompt service and a pleasant atmosphere at a very reasonable price I'll bring someone next time to try it too! Only thing I'd fault somewhat was the salsa - it was plain and just not as chunky spicy that I'd prefer but not terrible either read more

We've been coming to this Pueblo for years and we always enjoy it! I make a lot of modifications to my food because I'm a picky eater, but they always listen and get it right the first time. The service is wonderful consistently and we really enjoy the wide variety of food options they offer. The pricing also seems to be the most reasonable in our area, which we also appreciate! I have been here several times and have enjoyed the experience most of the time , but sadly I cannot unsee what I witnessed Saturday. While we were waiting to place our order I noticed three staff members wrapping silverware between customers. One of the associates dropped wrapped silverware in the floor, came and took our order then proceeded to walk back to the table, pick up the silverware off the floor and place it back the the other silverware to be given out to a customer. That to me says a lot about a person's character. The sad part about it is she saw me watching her and did it anyway. read more

We brought a group of friends after Church (about 20) - we were seated quickly in a quiet area of the restaurant and immediately taken care of by several Waiters. Everyone was served at the same time (piping hot!). My Chili Relleno was extremely good, not greasy at all and lots of flavor. Reasonably priced for a weekend. We'll definitely go back. read more

Come to Jasper often and always saw this restaurant. So had to try it. Was worried what it would be like reading other reviews but happily quite delighted with the choices we made. I got the Scrambled egg burrito which also had mushrooms spinach and other veggies with queso and ranchero sauce topped with avocado. It was great! Decent size too. My BF got the shrimp over rice and was thrilled! That cheese over the rice was perfect! Reasonable prices and very quick attentive service. Only negative I would say is how plain the place is for Mexican. Not real festive looking. read more

We come here after church semi-regularly. The food is excellent, service is the best. But the noise level - off the charts. People shouting across tables, kids running wild. Perhaps some heavy drapery or other soft accessories would help absorb the noise. read more

This is the 2nd time we have ate here in the 3 years we've been here. I thought after a few years it might have improved but that wasn't the case. Great service and friendly staff. The food is severely lacking or we're ordering the wrong stuff. Simple things like the chips were tasteless and salsa was like plain tomato sauce. My husbands tacos had the worst hamburger meat (not sure it was hamburger). My quesadilla had more tasty ingredients but was a bit greasy. Even our coke was flat. Start with the cheapest ingredients possible, use no seasoning, and serve in an atmosphere of hillbillies - this is apparently Pueblo's recipe for success. The fajitas had absolutely no flavor whatsoever; no marinade, no seasoning. The cut of meat they used what what I call "scraps" or "chips" of beef. They were not grilled; they were boiled or pan-fried. I bought cheese dip to pour on top in an effort to add flavor, but sadly this dish was void of flavor, too, which blew my mind. This is perhaps the worst Mexican food I have ever had in my entire life. With regard to the ambiance, there was a table of rednecks that periodically hooted and hollered at the top of their lungs in an effort to flex their manhood... how pleasant. Did I mention that the waitress did a lousy job? The one positive note was that the manager was super nice and offered to comp one of the fajitas, which is why I bumped the rating from 1-star to two. I typically won't mention a problem like this when it's clearly systemic and can't be rectified, like overcooked steak, but he asked my fiance how the food was and she politely replied that it lacked flavor. read more

We finally decided to try this place.. I'm in jasper a lot and I pass by it all the time.. after reading the reviews, I wasn't expecting much to be honest but to our surprise, it was excellent.. they seated and waited on us right away.. .. our server was very friendly.. in fact, I was gonna get there $1.99 margarita but he quickly told me, its tiny and you wont be happy. Lol got a coke instead.. gf got a scrambled egg burrito and it had lots of veggies an stuff in it.. said it was great.. I got shrimp over rice with cheese.. man, I dunno exactly what kind of cheese that was but it was delicious.. both meals were quite cheap for the portion sizes and had lots of flavor... we will definitely be coming back again.. only thing I saw wrong with the restaurant was that it looked very plain inside.. I'm use to seeing bright vibrant colors on the walls when I go into a Mexican restaurant... either way, food was excellent and that's what really matters.. read more

This is NOT authentic Mexican food. It's Tex-Mex and very bad Tex-Mex at that. The service was horrific. Out waitress hardly spoke to us at all. Actually all she did was take our order. Someone from the kitchen brought our food -- 20 minutes after we ordered it and then it was barely warm. In fact, except when she was taking orders, the waitress was nowhere to be seen in the dining room. We were not even offered drink refills. My enchilada, burrito and tamale all had the same tasteless tomato sauce on them. If the were any chiles used I didn't taste it. The hamburger meet inside was just that: cheap burger meet simply fried out with no onion, peppers or tomatoes. No flavor of any kind. The tamale was obviously mass produced and taken from a box in the freezer. Dry and tasteless. We ate just a few bites of our food, since it wasn't worth the calories. So our plates were taken back to the kitchen with just a couple of bites missing and this was okay with everyone working there. I guess they know locals probably either don't know the difference or that they have a captive audience. Perhaps there are not enough native Mexicans in the area to keep them on their game. read more

This place has slowly gotten worse over time. This used to be my go to place. Food used to be good. When they changed the menu, the prices went up, and the food got worse. I do think it's funny that they don't think you speak Spanish so they trash talk us and everyone in the restaurant right behind us. Last night was probably my last time going to this place. Food was trash, service was trash.... took my daughter 30 min to get a taco... no it wasn't busy...came out wrong... 5 min later it came out to only be slammed on the table and the guy from the kitchen quickly running away. I have been a loyal customer for 7 years. I will not go back! They have a new menu that they refuse to honor. I had a party of 9, and they wouldn't let us order off a part of the menu that stated available 7 days a week. Because it was a Sunday the owner refused to let us order off the lunch special. They must have changed the menu since earlier last year. The new dishes are all phenomenal! My husband is a huge fan of their Mexican burger with all the trimmings that come with it (avocado, bacon, fried onions, cheese and veggies). I am a super charged fan of the Arros Trios. (I think I am saying that right.) It is rice covered in Mexican white cheese sauce topped with a dozen grilled shrimp, some grilled chicken and some grilled chopped up ribeye. I can eat 1/2 of it if I skimp on the chips and salsa...which is a meal within itself. It is really terrific! Each dish I just spoke about are around $10. Just great! read more

In my opinion, they have the best Mexican food around! I actually would give a five star review for the food, but I have two 'complaints.' We have gone in at 9:30 pm a few times and they were already closing, even though their posted hours say that they close at 10:00 pm! Also, they use a very strong smelling cleaning solution that interferes with the enjoyment of the delicious food. My family and I come to Pueblo at least a couple times a month. We all love it. My son is obsessed with the chimichanga and the taco salad. My husband loves the carne asada. I love the fajitas. The cheese dip is always excellent. Chips are always fresh. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Oh, and I don't know what they do to their sweet tea, but it is amazing! We always get some to go. We are regulars at this restaurant. Most of the time the food is very good. Depends on who is in the kitchen. Kind of hit and miss. My biggest complaint is that the food comes out lukewarm. Hot food would be appreciated. And hot tea. No hot tea available. read more
