This was my first time at a cigar bar and I was so overwhelmed with how many options they had but not disappointed at the least ! I wish they were more helpful with giving a tour with more information on the different cigars but good thing we came here with people who've had experience. The person helping us when we came in was friendly and inviting . They do have wine, liquor and beer options for purchase. The outside seating is kinda thrown together but at least there is a place to sit and chill . read more

There are few cigar shops in the area that can compare with Old Oaks on selection, price, and helpful staff. The brothers (Arsine and Albert) are extremely nice and welcoming to everyone. They have a tremendous selection of cigars ranging in price and in quality from the pedestrian to the exquisite, and their prices are extremely reasonable. I have been to scores of cigar stores around the world and there are some with larger walk-in humidors but few that can compare with the overall quality and selection of Old Oak. While I am less expert in the wines and spirits industry, I am always impressed by the selection of spirits available from OO... from the most basic to the rare and exceptional. If they do not have it then it is unlikely most of us would even want it! read more

This place is an alternate universe when it comes to cigars and drinks. Not because they have the best or the most rare cigars but the shop owners who are brothers(Albert and Arsen) are the most genuine guys you could ever hope to meet. They know every regular customer by name and their life story. This place epitomizes what the cigar culture is about. You will not be disappointed for coming here. read more

I'm not familiar with cigars and so this was a new experience for me. The owner was very friendly and welcoming. There are two lounges, one indoors and one in an enclosed patio in the rear. They're both comfortable and can accommodate what looked like about 10-15 people each. You can enjoy your cigar with a beer, wine, or glass of port. I had a nice port with the cigar. The place is certainly filled with regulars and they seemed harmless enough. There are also a few TVs throughout the place to watch sports. I saw one person working on a laptop so Wi-Fi might be available. Overall, I'm not sure how this can be a much better experience. read more

I don't smoke cigars and I don't drink. So why would I review a Cigar and Wine shop? Because this place is made of magic. I stopped by to pick up client gifts for work and as a very small female with no actual knowledge of the products I was buying, I felt out of place when I walked in...for about 2.5 seconds. Not only were the gentlemen who worked there completely wonderful, patient, and thorough - so were the other customers! Everyone offered suggestions. Everyone was kind. Everyone teased the heck out of each other. It felt like I found my long-lost family, who all happen to be incredibly cool cigar aficionados. In an increasingly isolated world, this place was a community hub. We need more places like this. As an added bonus - the clients who received the gifts I bought were all super pleased. Top tier. Selection is unlimited, hospitality is top notch and the people are genuine. Tough to get away from the normal stressors of life, but old oaks cigars is a place of paradise. Albert and Arsine are a duo that can't be beat. Their recommendations, whether it's cigars, spirits or both, are unmatched. Couldn't ask for a better experience. As a heavy set guy I must say the humidor was a tight fit for me but that was only because it was so well stocked with amazing sticks!! A comfortable lounge and great drink selection and the owner Albert was very friendly. I selected a Ventura Cigar Co. Psyko 7 Nicaragua and it was perfectly humidified and tasty. I highly recommend this establishment if you are in the area and I will be back. read more

This is a fabulous place run by the family. They have a great wine and spirit collection and the cigars are first rate. I personally love the ones that they have hand rolled. For anyone looking for cigars and a wide selection of scotch and whiskey Old Oaks Cigar & Wine needs to be at the top of your list! Stopped in 10 minutes before closing on a Friday as I need some things for a party the next day and I was initially worried they would turn me away. On the contrary they were still packed with aficionados enjoying their selections in their seating area. I was warmly greeted by a proprietor and escorted to their humidor. I was looking for a box of their Perdomo 10th anniversary champagne but was told they didn't have a full box available. Instead they had a box of the 20th anniversary that they elected to give me a great deal on because they didn't have my first selection! Was then told about the backgrounds on both Perdomo as well as their great selection of Davidoff cigars. Walked out with a box of Perdomo's and a couple sticks of Davidoff for the Mrs. and Me to try! Let me just say Davidoff is worth the price! They recommended pairing it with GlenDronach 18 year which was amazing. If cigars and whiskey are your game, you'd be crazy not to pay these guys a visit! read more

This place is great! I was en route to LAX from Santa Barbara to pick up my wife and kids. The flight was delayed 3.5 hours. I googled for a cigar lounge and found this place. They have a large selection of cigars, and lounge inside with multiple TV screens, and a few benches outside on the sidewalk. I chose to enjoy my cigar outside. I also saw a shelved wall with a vast selection of spirits. I couldn't tell you if they serve, or if it's a BYOB and leave it on the self kind-of-thing, but it's there. I wish I lived closer. read more

I've been going to Albert and Arsenne's shop for over 5 years (I know several people who have been coming for much longer) and I've never walked out of there without a smile. This is a major social hub for Westlake Village and TO where everyone of all ages can feel welcome. They stock the best cigars and whiskeys in the state and the service is exceptional. Great place to find excellent cigars, with on premise hand rolls in addition to the current best bands. Good sized walk in humidor, great selection, and reasonable prices. I always get the store hand rolled, for freshness and taste. There is a small lounge with top shelf scotches, cognacs, and brandies, but I haven't tried one there yet. Good gift selection during the holidays. I like the wood sticks at the register to light up with, as I like these over matches, fluid lighters, or even butane torches. Crowded on weekends! read more

He tried it and said it wasn't quite the same, but he could enjoy it with a citrus twist which he likes. As for my Prosecco and orange juice adventure, it was great. I hadn't had champagne in a very long time and aided by the juice I couldn't tell the difference. Prices seemed fair, albeit I'm not up to date on what to expect. I may spring for one of the whiskey or rum options for sipping the prior and mixing the latter. This store and their knowledgeable staff has won my business.

a selection pretty serious for the village, it is impressive for sure. most of the guys are pretty reliable, and with a hundred new bands every time i visit, one never knows. I am fairly adventurous but the prices are a bit silly, I pick up several when there, but ordering from the cigar clubs gets delivered goods at a fraction. And there is a roller busy bunching away while you shop, they have a unique dual wrapper smoke that can be good (can be rough too) You can puff away and have a snort while there, everybody else is. They have a bunch of malts and cognacs etc too. Drop in, hopefully there aren't a bunch of bikers hogging the front. read more

Old Oaks Cigar & Wine in Thousand Oaks is hands down the best cigar shop in the Conejo Valley. I'm not a huge cigar fan, but my father and brothers are, so I was roped into going here for my first cigar lounge experience. I have to say, it's something I'm going to have to do again back home in Chicago. My older brother picked out a Brick House cigar for me, and it was a simple and mild flavor. It was nice to relax in comfy chairs, watch a bit of Sports Center, and just enjoy my family. Very nice establishment! read more

When I requested to sit outdoors, Kimble provided me with a nice seat cushion for balcony seating and an authentic smile. I enjoyed smoking my cigar and processing thoughts as ocean breezes caressed my face. Yes, I am ashamed to admit that I paid $70 for a Vision Spinner (the FIRST model, not even the new model 2). That wasn't even including the price for the cartomizer, which was an additional $20. I was excited to start vaping and I bought from the first person I went to, which was Sam. I was naive and trusted that he wouldn't rip me off. He's pretty loud and a bit pushy but overall he was nice and I thought he was just trying to be helpful. He gave me a Vision Spinner in a Vision Spinner 2 box. When I got back to work I started looking around online and only then when I saw pictures of the Vision Spinner 2 did I realize that I hadn't paid for the new model, I had paid for the old model, and was WAY overcharged. I went back after work and he immediately recognized me and knew exactly why I was there. He claimed that he realized he had given me the wrong box after I left. (This was without me informing him why I had come back) He said he had given the Spinner 2 to another customer and the boxes has just gotten switched. I then told him that I was disappointed that I had paid so much money and not gotten the new model. He conveniently said that he was currently out of the Vision 2 Spinners, but if he would have had one he would have gladly traded me, "No Problem!". He then went on to tell me about how the price was more than what I had found on the internet because he had to pay shipping, rent for his store, etc. I don't mind taking care of my local businesses but I feel like a 250% price markup is just a bit much. I asked him if he would take my # and call me to trade for the new model once he got more inventory. He PROMISED that he would call me and I could trade for the new model once he got some more. That was 2 weeks ago. If he had called me back to trade he could have earned back my business even though $70 is still too much to pay even for the Vision Spinner 2. I'll take my part of the blame. I would have gone back for flavors, parts, etc. but as it is I will never go back. I have already found another shop in T.O that is much cleaner, nicer employees that aren't pushy, and has much better prices. Sam, if you read this, you have my number and I'm still waiting for my trade. I'll also be happy with a refund, but we both know that's not gonna happen.

I tend to buy online, but every once in a while, I go into local B&M's to support small businesses and maybe try something new. The truth is this place is your standard smoke / vape / gear shop that happens to have a walk in humidor. I I've been here 4 or 5 times and to their credit it does appear the humidor is restocked regularly, even with some newer stuff that enthusiasts would care about. However, there's two issues; one is the prices. Cigars will always be more expensive at a local shop, obviously due to overhead but also because they're usually cigar lounges; they offer you places to sit and watch the game, chat, or just spend some time relaxing in a comfortable place. Some even offer drinks and you get none of that here. You just get a local college kid serving as a clerk; it's a "buy-and-leave" type of set up so cigars really shouldn't be two or even three times a typical price. The second problem is the walk-in humidor itself. One of the cigars I bought last time was a La Flor Dominicana Colorado Oscuro that I smoked that day and five minutes in the wrapper was cracking almost immediately due to under-humidification. Now I know the humidor is humidified (I checked); but if the wrapper cracks as you're smoking it, it's usually because you're under 62% RH. Some shops will even store their cigars in humidified back rooms to stabilize after shipments arrive in order to avoid any under-humidification in the walk-in, but that isn't happening here. In short, it would be nice if Camarillo had a real cigar lounge where the prices were justified and the humidification was on point, but this just isn't it.
