Our contractor had sent them a Google Slides mood board that we created and Cabinet Express was able to immediately to put together all of the flooring and countertop samples that we were looking for. Even more surprising to us was the price! Prices at Cabinet Express was significantly less than other showrooms we've been to (and it's for the same things). We've attached a photo of our PVL flooring and quartz countertop (we just finished construction on our project yesterday).

After researching various suppliers, I chose Polycarbonate Depot, located at 1185 Campbell Ave, San Jose, CA, which is owned and operated by Nate, a knowledgeable individual. I visited the warehouse twice, bringing my contractors along to gain additional insights into the installation process. Nate was helpful throughout, even delivering the panels to my home, which I greatly appreciated. However, I do have some feedback regarding my experience. I chose the light bronze color for the panels, but I was disappointed to find that they appear quite "clear" once installed and with the summer heat in California, my patio has become UNBEARABLY hot, despite the UV protection of the panels. It rendered the patio UNUSABLE! I believe that Nate should have provided  more advice on tint selection, particularly regarding how different colors can affect heat absorption during peak sun hours. I wish I had received more guidance on this aspect, as it would have helped me make a more informed decision. In no way that I'm blaming Nate. I was dead set on the light bronze color without knowing that the effect when installed looks very "clear". I am currently having to explore  ways to reduce the heat, such as installing shades underneath the patio cover. Currently, I have four umbrellas under the cover to help with the heat. Overall, I appreciate Nate's professionalism and the quality of the product, but I would recommend that future customers discuss color options in detail to ensure they choose the best fit for their needs.  Also be sure to take the polycarbonate panels outside under the sun to determine if that is the level of shade that you want.

As with everything else, we shopped around. We were looking for four main things --- convenience, options, price and service. We went to a quite a few dealers & even distributors. All of them have very similar pricing & design options and in most cases similar cabinet makes. Ultimately for us, it boiled down to convenience, options and service, this is where Kitchen Van and Alex were miles ahead of everyone else. Convenience: Showroom comes to you!!! Alex is always a phone call or a text message away. Schedule a time with him and he will be at your house with his showroom dot on time!! You will get one-on-one attention unlike any other dealer where salespersons are distracted managing multiple customers OR you end up with a new representative everytime you visit the showroom. Options: This is where Alex really shines. For our needs, in our semi-custom set-up we were looking for some custom pieces --- Range Hood Cover, Appliances Garage. He very patiently spent time with us understanding our needs, designing & re-designing our pantry our set-up and working with us what will fit our needs. I don't think you can get this level of expertise anywhere else. Service: Here I am talking specifically about after-sales Service, when you have paid signed the contract and paid your money. This is where Alex and Kitchen Van really excel. When our cabinets arrived, Alex made multiple visits to work with our contractors to make sure installation was smooth and to his high standards. Even after our project was done, we called Alex for some minor adjustments (instead of going through our contractor) and Alex was there promptly. You can see the pride Alex takes in his work and ensures his customers enjoy their new kitchen.

Steve and Jonny came back within two weeks with drafts in line with the vision we shared. They offered options, made adjustments based on budget and preferences and thoroughly explained what the process would look like. They had final plans to us within weeks and permits soon after. Jonny called, emailed and met us at the project site regularly and kept us well informed. He and Steve are current around design trends to provide recommendations - styles, colors, approaches, sources, etc. We didn't engage an Architect or Designer for a single stage. The crew is extremely professional. They're well informed and aligned around timelines, next steps and responsibilities, which kept us on schedule and without surprises. Be it Foreman, Plumber, Electrician, Painters, etc., they took pride in their work and left an immaculate job site at the end of the day. Despite the commotion a large project can create, our neighbors appreciated Stephano Homes' courtesy and professionalism. Months later we walked back into a new home that was exactly what we hoped for. The design is well thought out and the craftsmanship top notch. As we've settled in, the quality of work hasn't lost it's luster. As more remodels similar to ours pop up in the neighborhood, we notice the things I mention. We didn't think of many of them going into the project, but recognized and appreciated them throughout. Seeing projects that lack these qualities reminds us of how fortunate we were to have made the right decision. Would absolutely recommend Stephano Homes for projects big or small. Steve Macey and crew at Stephano Homes did a fabulous job on our Master Bedroom suite remodel…read more They are real craftsmen and do high quality work at a competitive cost. We didn't have to use an architect, as Steve did a beautiful design for our remodeled bedroom, walk-in closet and large bathroom. Steve, who has excellent taste, helped us choose the tiles, the fixtures, the granite and the style and color for our built-ins. We love the entry to the Master bedroom suite with the built-in bookshelves and cabinets that house our home entertainment electronics. Our remodel was a bit tricky as they had to move two weight-bearing walls, and move the plumbing quite a distance through concrete slab. Steve's crew did all of the work from the demolition and framing to the plumbing, electrical, tile work, painting and finish work. The workmanship is top-notch. What I really appreciated is the creative problem-solving, and the willingness to work with us to get things exactly how we wanted the remodel. This is the second remodel project that we've done with Stephano Homes and Classic Kitchens (same owner). Each project exceeded our expectations. Steve runs a tight ship. Projects start on time, end on time and keep to budget. We loved Tim, our foreman who did all the carpentry, the plumbing and the excellent finish work. The crew cleans up at the end of each day and are true professionals. Everyone is polite and client-service oriented. Steve is a trustworthy and likeable guy who truly listens to his clients. I recommend Stephano Homes without reservation.
