HIGHLY recommend. Before ordering something online or buying from another supplier, give them a call. They are experts. Their prices are competitive. You can see products in person. And you get amazing advice (likely from the owner). I am a home owner but also interested in details of lighting design, color spectrums, lumens, etc. Lance took the time to brainstorm, weigh options, consider budgets, aesthetic tradeoffs and more. He has a number of lights, lighting strips, pucks, pendants and chandeliers in the store to view, but also access to far more options via his suppliers. Lance is the bomb! He helped us design LED lighting strips for an outdoor kitchen roof area. We weren't sure what we wanted and had some challenges on what to mount on the underside of a corrugated roof structure. Lance gave us a couple options and we worked up a design with 3 zones of lighting. It was just installed and looks fantastic. Lance is an expert at what he does and his store is awesome (lots to look at), prices were very competitive and honestly, better than expected. This place has a great selection of lights! We were looking for LED track lights, and Lance was extremely helpful in explaining how they worked, what kinds there are, how much power they used, how they look, etc. While they did have quite a few fixtures in stock, we settled on one from the catalogs. But we were able to see how the lighting itself would look right at the store. The one snag we had was that the transformer was slightly incompatible with the LED bulbs, despite the manufacturer's claims. It made a slight buzzing sound when used with LED bulbs on a dimmer switch. This is where Lite Line really shined (pardon the pun). They did all the legwork in contacting the manufacturers to notify them of the problem, troubleshoot, and find a suitable replacement. Not only that, they swapped out the transformer and dimmer switch (including installation) at no extra cost. I cannot recommend Lite Line Illuminations enough. They are very friendly & knowledgeable, and their customer service is stellar. I'll definitely go back the next time I need new lighting. read more

We purchased some great pendant lights for our kitchen at this store. We were going through a remodel and just happened by, so we purchased them. However, a year later one of them quit working. I brought it back to Lite Line and asked if they could fix it. They said yes, it would be a 25.00 fee. I said fine. He said, why don't you walk around and give us a few minutes. I came back a half hour later, the guy who fixed it doesn't even greet me, he turns to the lady sitting next to him and says 45.00. What? He goes off to help someone who is looking at new lighting and she tells me no, he couldn't have said 25. It should be 65.00. What??? Ok at this point I'm frustrated and Mr. Fix it is still ignoring me. It was not worth my time to sit around and wait. I paid the 49.00 and left. I will not go back. You can find beautiful lights at Wright Lighting and fireplace on San Carlos in San Jose. That will be where you will find me for my lighting needs in the future. read more

We were really looking forward to working with Lance and Lite Line, but were disappointed with the service we received. We wanted to redo our landscape lighting (70-75 lights) with Fx color changing LED lights - both design and installation. It's a pretty extensive project, and Lance was enthusiastic about being able to provide an end to end, one stop shop solution for us. After a positive phone call, Lance promised to email vendors and reach back out shortly. Over the next few days I emailed 3x, called a few times, and even left messages. We bought all of our LED recessed lights from Tal, who claimed these were the best product out there. They made up part numbers so I couldn't do any research on them. I finally found they were made by a company in SoCal callled LedPac. After multiple units failing in less than a year, Tal finally agrees to have his electrician come out and "fix" the problem. Patrick shows up STINKING like smoke, rushed, and dirty. Comes in and drills holes into our recessed lights for "ventillation" so they stop overheating! WHAT!?!?!?!?!? My wife was home so she only told me about this after the fact! Made an absolute mess and stunk up my house. This was their "solution" to the problem? My cousin is an electrician in SoCal and tells me this is an absolute code violation and a fire hazard. Ended up changing these out to a 4" unit from a place in Willow Glen, that give tons of light and are all sealed so there is no fire hazard. How many homes have these guys jeopardized? These were so expensive and they left me with an unsafe situation for my family. Good luck people... read more

Lite Line Illuminations helped us add lighting to our townhouse, which we tried to do for two years. We couldn't find the right people for the job until my husband visited Lite Line and spoke to Tal Mashhadian. Tal has an extensive knowledge of LED lighting and was the first of several electricians/lighting designers who came to our house to suggest both recessed lights for reading/general lighting, and a track to highlight the art in our living room. All of the previous electricians suggested either all recessed lighting or all track lighting. Neither would have been ideal in our unusually shaped living room. When Tal suggested both, it seemed so obvious. Now that everything has been installed, we can see that the lighting configurations he suggested for our living room, bedroom, and kitchen fit our needs perfectly. Lite Line has a great selection of lights and fixtures and, instead of just throwing a catalog with 500 pages of lights and fixtures at us, Tal made very helpful suggestions. He also recommended the electrician, Mike Bassi of Tri-Phase Electric, who installed the lights and put them on two circuits like we wanted. We've experimented with different wattage and beam spread angle bulbs in the track fixture, and Tal has pleasantly exchanged bulbs and ordered items for us when necessary. I would give Lite Line 10 starts if I could. At some point we plan to replace bathroom lighting fixtures, and we will definitely go back to Lite Line. read more

Over time, four of my great room's many low voltage halogen light fixtures broke. I went in to check out replacement options. Tal pointed me in the right direction for replacements. He also took the time to explain how to dismantle and re-assemble a low voltage pendant fixture. I got home and was struggling with the pendant fixture setup. Gave Tal a ring and got more answers and he emailed me a how-to video with step-by-step instructions for cutting and re-connecting the cable. The hand holding helpout is much appreciated. They seriously have everything -- we got recessed lights, wall sconces, pendants, flush-mount lights, under cabinet lights, even exterior lights from this shop. Tal, the owner, is incredibly knowledgeable and service-oriented. We had a design snafu with the unique lighting design for our master bathroom (the interior designer's fault; poor communication on her part), but Tal cheerfully took the lights back and devised a really clever and beautiful solution by working directly with the manufacturer to resolve the issue.
