We had measurements and some ideas of what we wanted. Once contracted, their in-house installation team later came out of verify our measuring skills. We agreed upon the price for both cabinets and the installation, we set a date. Keypoints: They had all material in stock. They offered to start demo work the next day. We were not ready, we took a week to clear and pack up kitchen. The whole process took 7 days, not weeks as other contractors quoted us. The installation team was the hardest working I ever seen. They cleaned everything up and disposed of all demo materials. I starting quoting the kitchen project 3 years ago and the pricing and project time were very expensive and told it could months to complete . You can do this project on your own. Hire yourself, be the project manager yourself. Ask for better pricing like you are a contractor , and hire KZ Kitchens for both product and the installation. But go in prepared too. We selected Artistic based on the extensive display of styles in their showroom, the workmanship and quality of the cabinets, and the price point (Artistic was not the highest of the 3 quotes given comparable design and quality). We went with DOCA cabinets knowing that had a longer lead-time coming from Spain. Julie was phenomenal to work with. She guided us through some key decisions regarding functionality, design, balance, focal point, unique features, and colors. The design process was very enjoyable and efficient. Julie was very professional and patient. She came to our house to take the final measurements. She was meticulous and precise. There were no measurement issues in our project. The fit was perfect and every inch of space was well used. The renderings were extremely helpful as we could envision the outcome. During the construction, Julie came on-site another time to answer questions from our installer. We encountered a couple of minor issues. Julie and Artistic Kitchen resolved the issues for us even though they were installation related. There was no finger-pointing. She was only focused on getting our desired results for us. She offered a wide selection of style and wood possibilities as well as drawer configurations that nicely fit our cooking habits. Then Kristin designed the cabinets to fit our space. Her eye for detail is thorough, and we were very happy with how she made it all come together. Kristin did a masterful job for us, and she is also friendly and easy to work with. Anthony Cao, the owner, is super nice, knowledgably and pleasant to work with. They carry a couple major lines of cabinetry. I was able to find the brand that is slightly taller 34.5" that fits our needs (vs the standard 33"). The shop's focused on custom made or semi-custom made cabinetry. With my odd size vanity requirement, they were able to quickly offer a 3 cabinet solution that covered my needs. They will also suggest a couple countertop places to shop for and ordering via Excelle gets you a 10% discount. I visited the shop multiple times and happy to report that the experience has been consistently pleasant. Good coffee, good music, sound advice and they are super patient to let us visualize the colors and styles with different samples. Lead time is reasonable within a week for us and delivery was trouble-free.
