Tyler originally came last week and gave me an estimate on options, describing the pros and cons of each. He was very knowledgeable and I really felt like he was honest and forthright. We ended up with two toilets, two grab bars, and repairing a broken water controller in the tub. I though it just needed to be screwed back on and asked for help with that, but it turned out a part was broken (my dad had fallen and hit it), so Tyler gave me instructions and I ran to Home Depot while they were working on the toilets. Tyler ran into a snag with one of the toilets. We've been aware from right after moving in that the builders here cut a lot of corners, and they also did that with the toilet installment. So Tyler had to work around the weird jerry-rigging done by the lousy builders, resulting in extra work and extra time. He explained the issue and showed me how he was dealing with it. In the meantime, Skyler worked on the broken water controller, discovering more damage than expected. They didn't even charge me for that word, saying since it didn't take them any more time, since Skyler worked on it while Tyler took care of the weird toilet issues. They consulted with me all along the way about how and where to install the grab bars, checking to make sure they were absolutely solid, having me look over everything and give my ok. Everything looks great. I really appreciate the professionalism and expertise of these men. Our home is a safer place, and I am so thankful. They were able to come do the job quickly (two days after I accepted the estimate). These guys will have my business in the future.

The copper lining of my outdoor spigot must have had some water in it over the winter, subsequently froze, and caused a major crack in the pipe. This spigot just so happens to be the only one available for my swamp cooler to connect to. Being without any sort of AC for any period of time during the Utah summer is a bad time, so I am glad Hot and Soft were able to finish this up quick. Shoe covers, on time, knowledgeable, and friendly. All I could ever ask for when it comes to anyone in the trades, but especially someone repairing stuff on my home. Their prices are fair, and the repair itself was done in less than an hour. I would definitely recommend this team and any of their techs. Will be using them in the future as well.

Different plumbers were used during our home build, and unfortunately, those other plumbers took costly shortcuts on our home. We had something come up, which required postponing the work for about a year, but Nearby Plumbing happily returned and provided updated estimates, answered more of our questions and again didn't charge us a penny. We scheduled the work and Nearby Plumbing helped us fix a gas line that was leaking in a few locations inside of our mechanical room, added a missing service valve to our sewage ejector pump and also upgraded the pump to include a grinder (reducing chances of a clog and sewage backup), added a wifi monitoring alarm to the ejector pump (to alert us in case the pump ever fails), and added a hose spigot to our mechanical room to make filling up emergency water storage easier. Nearby Plumbing was great to work with. I appreciated their patience with scheduling the work on our timeline, the way they listened to our questions and concerns, and their solutions to correct the issues that our builder and original home-build contractors left us with. My wife and I have learned that finding contractors who are honest, good at what they do, and who treat your home as if it were their home is less common these days. I'm glad we found Nearby Plumbing. They are our new go-to plumbers! :-)

He missed his appointment window and never bothered to call with an update. After I finally got ahold of him, he told me he was running late and would be there in 30 minutes. An hour later, with no communication and no sign of him, I reached out again. Instead of apologizing or providing a professional update, he became arrogant and confrontational through text messages. When he finally arrived, he was approximately an hour and a half late and was yelling at another driver as he pulled up to my home. That first impression only confirmed the attitude I had already experienced during our communications. When I told him I didn't appreciate the way he had been communicating with me, he chose to pack up and leave rather than perform the work he was hired to do. As a result, the issue remained unresolved, and my time was completely wasted. Being late is one thing. Things happen, and most people are understanding when there is honest communication and professionalism. Showing up significantly late, displaying a poor attitude toward a customer, and then refusing to do the job when called out on that behavior is something else entirely. Based on my experience, Terry demonstrated a complete lack of professionalism, communication, accountability, and customer service. I would not recommend doing business with him.

They said it was our responsibility to get their auger cable out of our pipe because they didn't know how to and we needed to pay for it. I was shocked that they thought we should pay for it. Aloha was able to remove the cable at a very reasonable price. They didn't try to get us to do a bunch of unnecessary repairs like other companies do. I highly recommend them and plan on having them do the plumbing when I finish my basement.

Immature Service Man. We got a quote on the phone and he came out today. Then, after looking over…read morethe problem and then pulling his equipment downstairs, the price suddenly changed. Not a big deal, just jumping up from $125 to $420 before doing more than flushing the toilet. I get how service guys work. We turned him down and he went back into the bathroom to clean up. As I was leaving the house, I checked to make sure the water was off in case of flooding. The hose on the toilet appeared to be connected. When I turned the nozzle, the hose burst off, spraying me and the bathroom with water. That part was purposefully made to look connected. Before he even quoted the price, the guy wasn't in the bathroom by himself and the landlord didn't see him disconnect the hose. So after he pulled his stuff downstairs, he stopped in the hall, changed the price, then went back in the bathroom to exact his "revenge". I'm even worried he flushed something down there to make the clog worse. That is no way to deal with customers, even if they do figure out your "sales" tactics. I'd rather have clogged drains for days than deal with immature "professionals." Scamming is one thing. Sabotage is on a whole other level.

I don;t like to write negative reviews but here I feel I am doing a service to other customers. My…read moreexperience was not good. First, the two guys came one hour late. Second, they did not get the job done. They snaked twice, found roots in the drain (unsurprisingly, since this is a 100 years old house), noted that the pipe is still clogged and then refused to complete the job unless I fork out another $250 for an additional hour of work. They suggested that I replace the pipes and quoted ~ $7500 just to excavate the pipes (not including the actual replacement). Since this was my first time with a Roto Routing company, I paid what now seems almost a double of the going rate. Here is what is on my invoice (and what I paid): -$195 for the snaking (on the high end, especially since the pipes were still clogged by the time they were "finished"). (Electric Rooter charged $135!!!) - Toilet removal: $155 (!): ridiculous for 5 min work. Other guys (the Electric Rooter, which actually did the work, charges $40!!!). - Camera inspection: $250. I was pressed into this totally useless job which took them 5 minutes and brought zero insight. Why was Electric Rooter successful when B&E Rooter failed? Their machine seemed much newer and stronger, with a longer snake. Finally, I went with this company because of the recommendation by Manwill Plumbers Co. with whom I had a good experience last year. Needless to say, I am angry and will never work with either company again. All in all, the charge was $620 whereas the Electric Rooter charged $135 for the same job but, unlike B&E, actually DID the work. As you can see, I am a bit upset about all this. I feel like a sucker. I do NOT recommend this company.
