    Hot wings, breaded mushrooms, bruschetta
    Eli M.

We went here for a 47 year old birthday party! We first had buffalo hot wings which were perfectly cooked. The wings were perfect with medium heat! It was tender and the meat came off easily. The breaded mushrooms were very good! And the bruschetta was very tasty. For the main entries, chicken franchise, baked ziti, corn beef and cabbage/potatoes. The chicken franchise was so good! The chicken was very tender. The sauce was nice nice and lemony. The corn beef was perfectly salted which went perfectly with the cabbage and potatoes!

Early dinner in Franklin, New Jersey on 3-15-25, The Ides of March! When we drove past Irish Cottage Inn, my friends reminisced about the fun times they had when they been there. I suggested that we go today - before it gets crowded on St. Patrick's Day. They agreed! We got there around 3pm and parking was a bit tight in the front of the building. We waited at the receptionist's post a while before we got seated. Live, peppy music was happening in the pub side of the restaurant. We got a table in the back... and I had a chance to use a coat rack for my long coat! LOL! Our server was friendly and efficient. She quickly brought my friends their meals of fish and chips and Bangers. I got the Corned Beef En Croute which is Corned beef and cabbage with potatoes, baked into a flakey pastry. It was excellent with a creamy horseradish sauce... amazing! We also shared a piece of Banoffee Pie: slices of banana on a graham crust with homemade toffee, fresh coffee cream topping, and caramel drizzle! Wow! Yummy! I'm so glad we stopped by! Going early paid off again!

While out running errand in a town far, far away from our home, we decided to stop at the Irish Cottage Inn. I was a little skeptical after seeing the wide variety of reviews, but I'm glad I ignored the bad ones because we had a fantastic lunch. We started with a couple beers...and in an Irish pub we had Guinness and Harp. Wifey ordered the Sliders and had one of each - pulled pork, corned beef, and a regular beef bacon cheeseburger. I went with one of my stand-by meals..Fish and chips. We ended up doing halvzies and split our meals. The sliders were great, though I liked the corned beef one the best. The fish and chips were good, but not so amazing that they'd stand out from other fish and chips meals. Our waitress, also the bartender, was awesome. Very friendly, got us our drinks and food quickly and was nice to talk to before and during our meal. The restaurant itself is your normal Irish pub. Tables weren't crammed together, bar area was nice and had a couple tvs. If I lived up here this would be a go-to place for me.

Corn beef Reuben was sloppy but so good and their clam chowder is so bomb every time I go I get the chowder I tell everyone bout it

Love this cozy Irish pub! Friendly service and the cutest restaurant. I love all the pieces of history they have decorating the pub. Tons of Irish fare on the menu which is fun. The Irish coffee is fantastic!! We also got the clam chowder which was some of the best I've ever had.

He likes it here because they have the full size pint glasses where many other restaurants have switched to the smaller size. I got a Stella on draft because I'm not a fan of the stouts and lagers. Hubby got a cup of the hearty beef barley soup then enjoyed his corned beef sandwich with seasoned fries. Very big portion that he is going to have for lunch tomorrow. I went with the chicken curry. It's my daughter's go to favorite for this place and I know she will be happy to have some of my leftovers since the portion is so huge. Hubby liked dipping his fries in the sauce (as did I). Such a joyful meal! I highly recommend it! He got a coffee and we split a piece of cheesecake. It was a large plate for a small piece. It may not have been too small, but perhaps some Whipped cream or a smaller plate to appease the eye. The service is fantastic! We sat and had menus right away, whenever we finished a drink or food. They cleared items right away and were very attentive. There were TVs over the bar with various games and it looks like this was the place for World Cup soccer. The bar area is very lively and a fun place to hang out. But there are also multiple rooms where you can have a quieter meal or even outdoor dining when the weather permits. If you haven't been here, do stop by when you are in the Denville area. You will love it!

I had a burger with blue cheese and asked for medium rare. It was medium but I was okay with that. Rather than fries I chose a side salad which was fresh. Overall the food is good. For the price of each item, they could have added a slice of tomato, onion and a larger slice of deli pickle. The beef patty could also be larger. The chicken sandwich had 2 slices of pepper jack cheese which weren't melted. The restaurant could improve the presentation and quantity (value). All a bit lacking for this type of restaurant. Service was very good. Promptly seated. Wait time for drinks and food average. Ambiance - Outside under an umbrella was very nice.
