This is definitely our new favorite bar! Since moving to Montvale, my husband and I realized that we don't take advantage of Pearl River being a mile away, so headed here one night for some bar hopping. We came to Uncle Tommy's first and couldn't believe it's taken us this long to go there. Everything about Uncle Tommy's is a win - the food is DELICIOUS, the bar is beautiful and also huge, and the people who are patrons as well as working there are amazing. It's a really welcoming vibe there and the kind of place where you can go sit at the bar and have great conversations with the bartenders as well as people sitting there, which makes it that much more special. We've been fortunate to have Celine as our bartender during our visits - she's so friendly, fast, and so personable. The menu is extensive, with tons of options - all are SO GOOD. We've gotten the curry fries (highly recommend!), the mac and cheese (I think this is no lie the best mac and cheese I've ever had), and the breakfast burger (my husband said it was one of the best burgers he's had - comes with a fried egg and bacon). I cannot wait to make my way through more of the menu options... though it will be hard to have me change my order from the mind-blowing mac and cheese! I also can't wait to hit their brunch harder, especially since for $20 you can add on two hours of unlimited Bloody Mary's/mimosas - a STEAL! I now know where we'll be spending our weekends! Can't wait to try more of the menu and also get there for the live music they offer frequently. My only regret about Uncle Tommy's is that we didn't get there sooner. Date night with a bit of a guess. Used the Yelp suggestions. Typed in a placed that we didn't want to go to - not to be named - and wound up at Uncle Tommy's. Since we didn't order food - other than Nachos - I can't do better than 3 stars. Nachos could been beefier, but the bartender John gets this place a 4th star which could have been 3. This place is not a fine irish establishment. Most of crowd looked under aged. Drug paraphernalia in bathroom and extremely aggressive security. I saw an elderly man get escorted out while speaking to his daughters friends in a respectful manner. there was one young guy who had problem with him. It was horrible experience. Had my 71st birthday dinner party here, very impressive food and presentation, limited beer selection but more than adequate. 8-10 taps, 15 bottles , another 15 in cans. good fish and chips, not authentic by any means but solid, meat loaf was spectacular, sandwiches enjoyed by 2 guests, reasonable prices, pleasant service . Since the opening I have been back multiple times with myself and many friends. Apparently John works a lot and is always here when I am. He has remembered my name and what I drink. He makes an amazing dirty martini and Manhattan. For a young dude he has skills. When it comes to the food its amazing. I can go on and on about the food. However the fish and chips are my favorite and the corn beef on Thursdays nights is fabulous. The hand batter onions amazing. read more

On a Friday night in February I was expecting a much more lively atmosphere and crowd in this Irish pub/restaurant. There were a handful at the bar, which is separate from the dining area. The dining area was 75% empty with only about 4-5 other tables used the entire time we were there. Service was decent, waitress took order fairly quick and checked if we needed anything multiple times. We felt the kitchen was pretty slow to have the food ready considering how few patrons were there. The Shepard's pie that I had was very good. All food was good except for the French onion soup that I ordered. I hate Swiss so I asked if the soup was made with Swiss or another cheese. I was told they put Swiss and mozzarella and I asked if it was possible to just have the mozzarella with no Swiss - they sent out the soup with a few pieces of shredded mozzarella on top of the soup - it was basically onion soup with a few pieces of shredded mozzarella. I understand I changed a menu item but it was really a pitiful attempt. It's an Irish pub / restaurant in the middle of Pearl River. Would need to up their game because there is plenty of competition in that town. We said we would go back but certainly wouldn't be in a rush to go back. Hopefully the next time I will be able to give a better review. Truthfully, the fact it had such good reviews is what disappointed us the most since it definitely did not reach the 5 stars for me that so many others have expressed in their reviews. read more

Purely by the luck of the Irish, my son Brian took his Mom and me and relatives to the newest Irish pub in Pearl River - Uncle Tommy's - for his Mom's birthday. The owner, Michael Doyle, came over to our table and greeted each member of my family and made us feel so welcome. He honored Mom with a surprise birthday desert! We had a wonderful discussion about both our Irish and NYC connections. Luckily, the waitresses politely got the Boss to step back while they took our orders! Anyway, my point is that my son through sheer luck picked the right place at the right time. It was a wonderful experience for all of us. I will definitely go back. We went on a Sunday morning. Each of the people at our table ordered different meals from the brunch menu. All of us were delighted (although the servings were so large most of us took food boxes home!) This place is the real deal. The dining area is separated from the front bar area (it was a big tv sports day) so we enjoyed our event without interruption from the bar crowd. And what a crowd it was! 5 stars for service, food, accommodation and hospitality. read more

Wow! Came here today for the Jazz brunch for my husband's birthday weekend and it was fantastic! The service was friendly and perfect upon arrival till we left. Our wonderful server who went out of her way to make for a great time was sweet and helpful even with the other tables she was handling. There's a stage setup in the front dining area and the band playing jazz were amazing musicians. Our six year old son was mesmerized by the music, kid friendly menu and crayons. My burger was cooked perfectly with a very flavorful char and my husband enjoyed his lox benedict and was very happy overall. I had a mimosa which is included with brunch but didn't do the bottomless brunch which included bloddy Mary's and mimosas for $15. It looked good and the neighboring tables looked happy so will need to try another time. Loved this place, so happy they advertised on Facebook. Will hopefully be back again soon. read more

It was a different bartender. Asked him if prices changed as it was same time of day as happy hour was a few days before. No response. Takes my money. Gives me change and walks away. My wife and I have been dining at Uncle Tommy's for the past year or more. We are always greeted warmly by Karen or Mike, they are always so welcoming. This is a family owned full service restaurant in the heart of Pearl River. The servers Eileen, Ciera & Amy along with the rest of the staff are all so friendly and helpful. Most importantly, the food is excellent and always prepared to perfection. They recently hosted a customer appreciation evening and collected toys for the needy children in the area, I highly recommend this place, you won't be disappointed. read more
