But one time it caught my eye that they had a small chocolate truffle case by the register counter and so I was lured in to get some of these chocolates. I got the pack of nine and got a pretty decent amount as to the variety available. All of the truffles were good and they stretched a few nights after supper for a small, sweet dessert. They weren't too shabby. Perhaps not the best that I have ever came across but not bad at all. Probably my favorite one was a milk chocolate that had a coffee presence to the flavor profile. Now that was a very tasty truffle and I could have easily have gotten a package of nine with only that particular flavor. So my first purchase here was a good one and if you have kids and allow them to eat candy this would be a great place to take them as it looks like there are many different types of candy at your disposal.

When my mom paid the clerk didn't even thank her, just directed her to slide her card. Then I too purchased an item, and the clerk handed me my change, and she walked away. I said to her: "Thank you- but - is it all you do is transactions, and no 'Thank You's?' " she said "What?" I repeated it and then she just stared with a blank stare. So I said.."A 'Thank You'?- is that too hard to say to myself and my Mother? She then said, "Oh have a good day?".(reluctantly) I then said "You were very rude to my mom!". Having just talked about some fun little holiday gifts for our mail carrier, dog sitter, and handyman, it seemed the perfect thing. Been a long time fan of See's Candies going back many years. The shop is small - I'm guessing it's starting out as a "seasonal shop and let's see how we do" sort of thing. So the only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is we were really hoping for the candy case with all the yummy individual candies that See's is famous for. But the staff were super nice, and the selection for holiday gift goodies was very good. Prices are, well, "candy store" prices - not "dollar store prices" but you'd expect that from a quality brand store like See's. I really hope they stay on and build out the full "See's Candies" experience that so many of us know over decades. Nice little store.

They opened at this University Place location not too long ago (I think within last year or so) and its so convenient for me to come here to get my chocolate fix without having to goto the mall. They always offer free chocolate sample so I love that they do this and I'm immediately hooked to buy something before I leave haha. Their giftbox selections are perfect for me because they come in all different sizes from 6 piece truffle box all the way upto like a fancy 4 tier opening box. I love picking up a small gift box for myself sometimes! My favorite here is the truffles and their molasses toffees. They currently have pie truffle series for limited time, so I picked up a small Apple Pie truffle box and its so yummy.
